Rare 18th century Battersea Enamel Scent Bottle Holder Original Scent Perfume This came from a collection where the former owner traveled extensively in Europe to find the best and some of the rarest perfume bottles to be found! This is an exquisite Battersea Enamel 18th Century perfume bottle holder which still holds the original tiny cut crystal perfume bottle for which this was intended. This is in really excellent condition. With some of the usual light crazing of the enamel on the lid and the base. This is wonderfully gilded and hand painted with different vingettes of flowers in every panel. And the case itself with all of the pink paint, and the flowers is in excellent, only very slightly crazed condition. The interior of the case is lined with well worn silk on the interior of the bottom and the top of the case is green enamel. The ... morefittings at the hinge on the closure are etched. Decorated bronze which i felt was best to leave unpolished. The small hand cut crystal flacon is 1 3/4" long and is 3/4" wide. The bottle is in over all excellent condition with a few tiny chips to the stopper. And a shallow small chip on the neck. Overall, considering the age, I am THRILLED TO HAVE THE ORIGINAL CRYSTAL IN ANY CONDITION! When I was examining this bottle. I peered into the bottom and found the price tag from the 1960's- circa 1964, this was $295- 50 years ago, that was REAL money! Back in 1964, minimum wage was about $1 per hour! This is 2 1/2" long and is 1 1/4" wide. And is a TRILLING PIECE OF HISTORY AND PERFUMERIA! Which I am sure both collectors and bidders will like very much.the way a Real Auction should be. This week we have this Antique. Late 19th Century"Lay down Cresent" scent bottle. Extremely rare and magnificent piece. The glass is done in a rare green to clear with a satin finish. It is beautifully and skillfully hand painted in enamels and has a swirling hand cut ridge swirling around the piece. The lid is unmarked but is done with a nice repousse' floral and scroll motif. The dauber is glass and in perfect condition. It sits inside the lid in a wooden form. I have not cleaned the piece and there is a slight bit of amber perfume that is very thick(it is truly a very small amount) I have not cleaned ... moreit simply because I think it is orignal perfume from the 1800's and is devine. It would be a shame if I was the only one who after all of these years was to enjoy its scent. I can imagine what this piece would look like holding amber perfume, shading from the green glass and a rich amber color to clear. It is in excellent condition enamel work is excellent, the lid and dauber. It is also free if chips, fleabites, cracks or repairs. It measures 4 1/2" long. We purchased this from a woman whos grand mother puchased it she said it was either Webb or Pairpoint but her grandmother purchased it herself and it has been displayed in a cabinet by her daugher and grandaughter(the grandaughter is now in her early 80's) We do not know the exact value of the piece so we are putting this up for a buy it now with best offer. Vintage Blue Enamel Gold-Etched Perfume Bottle
This beautifully etched perfume bottle cover actually comes off the bottle. But fits it like a glove. Measures approx. 2" tall by 1.5" wide x.25" The blue enamel is etched with and delicate limb with a gorgeous gold and red bird with flowers at either end. It is trimmed in gold which could be 14 or 22K, there are no markings at all. The enamel is showing signs of age on the back side, but no breaks or missing enamel. Flowers and scrolls; gold enameled bands. The silver guilloche engraved caps have gilt(vermeil) interior. The silver is stamped with french 950 standard marks. Engraved monogram to one hinged cap and crown to the other(this bottle should have belonged to a noble or royal family) 11,5 cm. 4.5 inches) long. This perfume bottle is signed on the bottom HAWKES who was the founder of Stueben glass. It stands about 5 1/2" tall and the long dauber is intact. The top has a blue enamel with pink roses and cherubic figures inside the center with musical instruments going around them. There is a mark on the silver and I will add the markings if I can get someone to make them out for me. The glass bottom has flowers and lines with flowers and etching. Listed Is a Beautiful Green Glass Perfume Bottle With a White Enamel Flower And Gold Leaf Design. All of the decoration seems to be in excellent condition. There are no breaks cracks or chips. Overall very good condition. The top is a metal with a gold colored covering. It has rubbed off in a few spots where your fingers grip it to take it off. The rose finial on the top unscrews partially and has 2 small holes in it. I assume you would unscrew the rose on top to sprinkle the perfume on. When the whole top is off. The bottle has pink molded glass ornaments in a floral rose pattern and faux pearls. Also has gold filigree ormalou with white enameling. There is some white enamel loss that is non offensive. Sterling silver and enamel perfume or cologne bottle. This piece dates to 1800. The lid features beautiful pink guilloche enamel, translucent with the fine machine turned designs visible underneath. The lid and collar of the bottle are sterling silver. The bottle itself is glass, decorated with vertical cuts and a band of foliate designs. The lid flips up to reveal a little glass stopper, to apply the cologne or perfume. The bottle is in great condition. The enamel has a very minor flake to one edge. Visible at about the 6 o'clock position in the fourth photo. The stopper is in great shape and fits well. The glass has no chips, no cracks, no breaks, ... moreand no repairs. This piece is hallmarked on the side of the collar with the lion passant for sterling silver. The anchor for the city of Birmingham, the date letter C for 1800, and a maker's mark which is unfortunately partially worn. The lid is also stamped with the lion passant and date letter. Beautiful Enamel & Jeweled Brass, Glass Treasure Chest Perfume Bottle
This is a beautiful enamel& jeweled perfume bottle. In very good condition. Measures approx. 1 1/2" wide and almost 1 1/2" tall. It has red jewels on top and on the front and floral enameling on the front. It opens up and has a glass bottle inside with a glass dabber and a large red jewel on top. It also has a nice ornate brass design. An unique piece! I am also selling a Victorian Perfume bottle, see picture 6 in a seperate auction. These would make great addition to any perfume collection! The bottle is a rich royal cobalt BLUE. Just amazing color glass! The glass is solid blue not painted on or dipped in blue. The bottle& lid are approx. 2& 1/2" without the chain. I was told by the seller I bought it from many years ago. This was made in France& called a"finger ring scent bottle" I was told ladies would wear these on there finger as they danced at a ball around the turn of the century& earlier. Very detailed brass metal. These look amazing hanging on a wall or a shadow box or even laying down on a night stand for that romantic Victorian chic look in a bedroom. ART DECO CZECH GLASS SATIN PERFUME BOTTLE BLACK ENAMEL PIN DISH
Up for bid is this gorgeous glass perfume bottle and pin dish. There are no chips. No cracks on the perfume bottle. The stopper has one tiny chip on one side of the point on the upper portion. The stopper has a few tiny chips on the underside. I think this is from the manufacturing process. The pin dish has a small chip on the inside rim. The perfume bottle measures 6" in height and 3 5/8" in length across the base. The pin dish measures 1 1/4" in height and 3 1/4" across the base in length. Bohemian Glass HP Enamel Flower Large Scent - Cologne - Perfume Bottle
A very beautiful Scent- Cologne or Perfume Bohemian Glass Bottle with a hand painted colorful enamel flowers and scroll design. It is a larger size. Perfect to set on your vanity of 5 3/4" tall without the fauceted stopper. The shoulder of the bottle is approx 3 1/4" The only marking I find is on the end of the stopper that has a"65" engraved on the end. With the stopper in place the bottle with the stopper is about 7 1/2" tall. I have used a 10x magnifier and only see some fine scratches hither dither. I didn't find any chips. I have also shown this against a white background and a black background, with the black background showing you the scratches in the bottle. Colorful design and charming detail. The bottle has an octagonal shape with vivid pink and green striping with gold detail. The green striped sections have portraits of either a bird or a butterfly on them. The cap is an orange color and there does appear to be a glued repair to the base of the cap at the top of the stopper but the repair appears to be secure and is noticeable only upon close inspection of the cap. There are no other chips to the porcelain at all. There is quite a bit of wear to the gold painted details along the edges of the octagonal shape(not on the panels ... moreat all) and I think that originally there would not have been any of the white showing. The portraits of the birds and the butterflies are completely intact and very detailed and vivid with each design being just slightly different. The cap of the bottle looks like it had striping going up from the bottom of the cap to the top but this is almost all worn away. Overall this is a finely designed and well made, porcelain and enamel perfume bottle, that was made in France during the early 1900's and is in very good condition. Antique GUILLOCHE ENAMEL & STERLING STOPPER Glass Perfume Scent Cologne Bottle
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a very nice cut glass perfume bottle with yellow guilloche enamel stopper. The bottle has very nice cut edges but it was a made from a mold as I can see the mold marks up at the rim. You will see the mold marks at 3& 9 o'clock in one of the photos. There are no makers marks. The glass is in excellent condition with only a few pin prick sized nips to a couple of the edges. I could not get them to photograph and you will be hard pressed to find them. The stopper is stamped sterling and has a yellow guilloche top with a single rose in the center. Very pretty and the guilloche is all intact with no defects that I can see. The bottle is clean and the glass is clear. The bottom of the stopper has a large chip. Which you will see in the photos, ... morebut this does not affect the way it fits or the display. It is 3 3/4 inches tall and the base is 1 7/8 x 1 7/8 inches square. The bottle is made of dark green glass with enamel-painted satin glass sides featuring clear cut windows. The top of the perfume bottle is made of brass with nickel plating and it has three emerald jewels inset into the metal. The tip of the perfume bottle is also adourned with a single emerald jewel. The bulb for the atomizer is missing. But these can be found and attached if desired. They often deteriorated through the years and broke apart. The bottle stands approximately 4 5/8" tall, and the top still easily unscrews to add perfume. Item Condition: The overall condition of the bottle is excellent. It is extremely clean and it has no chips. ... moreCracks, or repaired areas except for a 1/2" chip to the foot of the bottle and a small flake to a flower petal on the side of the bottle. The color is extremely strong and the painted details have minimal loss with most of it being to the fine beaded details around the clear cut windows. You can expect to find the typical flaws of older glass to include airbubbles, strawmarks, and other minor imperfections. The metal comopnents are strong with some loss to the nickel plating revealing the brass beneath and it has standard wear from age and use.
