It does have 2 chips on the edge of the crystal glass bottle sharp edges both are seen in the last pictures. Has a thick and heavy decorative glass base and the metal part is made of brass. The flowers are made of a delicate plastic like material with large rhinestones in the center of each flower, there is also a rhinestone on one of the leafs. ANTIQUE BLUE VICTORIAN PERFUME BOTTLE DOUBLE ENDED WITH SILVER LIDS
This is another perfume bottle from my 96 year old Mom's estate. This is an exquisite antique double ended glass perfume bottle with repouse decorative Sterling( Silver lids. One lid screws on and the other is hinged. I believe the end that screws on was originally used for smelling salts. Where the other was used for perfume. The hinged lid has what looks like a 4 leaf clover and the other lid has a intricate design of what looks like a flower in the middle and leaves surrounding it. Both lids have a firm and secure fit and there are no dents. The silver tops do not have a hallmark. So I am not sure if the tops are sterling or not. Many of these early Victorian pieces were unmarked sterling. The bottle is in very good condition; the glass part has diamond shaped facets with no cracks or breaks. The only thing missing is the tiny glass ... morestopper which is not usual since they usually didn't fit securely in these perfumes. This perfume bottle measures 4" long and approx. 15/16" in diameter. This is a quality double ended Victorian perfume bottle in great condition. THIS WILL BE A NICE ADDITION TO SOMEONE'S COLLECTION. Antique Henry Tetlow Sweet Sixteen Blue/White Stripe Mini Upright Perfume Bottle
Purchased in a lot from a high-end estate auction I don't know much about this. I believe it to be rare as this exact bottle hasn't been sold online(I've checked archived listings going back 15 years) Only 3 or 4 Tetlow bottles have been sold on Ebay in the last 5 years and none look remotely like this one. There are other lay down striped perfume bottles that look extremely similar. However this one has a base to set it upright and an intact Tetlow label. This looks like a lay down bottle, but it's upright. It measures 3 inches tall. The dropper on the interior is intact. Brass screw on top is stuck and I have not attempted to use much force to try to open it for fear of damage. According to the Perfume Intelligence website(the proclaimed encyclopedia of perfume) this scent was introduced in 1885. Elsewhere I read it was ... more1916 however I believe that is when the patent for the name'Sweet Sixteen' was filed in which he claimed use since 1884. Condition: Excellent. Label completely intact. This one of a kind antique perfume bottle is 4 1/8" tall with the stopper in& 2 3/4" tall with the stopper out. The stopper is 2 1/8" long which also has sterling silver overlay. The sterling silver overlay has the initials S.J. 3 hallmarks which I can not make out what they are. I could not find out who made the bottle or who the master silver smith was.The sterling silver is not marked sterling or 925. I had it tested& it is sterling. Each Crystal bottle is cut in one third pie shape and has a beautiful cut pattern on one side. Each bottle was form to fit perfectly together in the brass holder. Two of the bottles appear to me to be in Very good condition with no issues except for a missing brass band around the neck. The other bottle does have a chip in the lip and the brass band and stopper does not appear to be original. A Cobalt blue doubled ended silver ends This fab antique bottle features cobalt blue glass with 10 cut panels/sides The metal is not marked by any maker nor the glass. The bottle has 10 cut sides and beveled shoulders. CONDITION: very good! I note: no stoppers. long gone. their is a cork in the top of the one that screws off. The glass is good but I note that there is smelling salts in one side of that bottle. Best seen in picture# 22. That is the side that the top screws off with the cork inside the lid. Clean healthy glass. No residue- other than what is mentioned on the one side. The hinge works good and while checking to see if any wobble I just noticed that one side is come apart. not really wobbley just ... morea smidge. it works fine and stay shut does not affect it. The hardware is silver and not marked. the inside of the one end looks to be a bit gold perhaps gold wash. I note: small dings on the silver end of the screw top I note: 3 dings some tiny dark spots and nicks on the hinged top. Summary: no chips there is smelling salts on one side. the one hinge has come apart on one side still works fine. dings to the silver ends. As with all of my items, this item is FINAL SALE. I have added a new black cord for you but all the other parts are original to the bottle. This would be c. late 1800's- early 1900's. The metal is silver tone and in very good condition with little signs if wear. No damage at all. No chips. Cracks or repairs. The pump still depresses easily. The internal metal syphon tube is intact. The glass is a gorgeous blue color ~ Tropical Sea Blue. This glass bottle has that illusion of"flat panels" but that is on the inside and the outside is smooth. is works to ehyJust wait until you see the close ups of the gold paintings. The bottle is a generous 8 1/2 inches tall to the top of the atomizer and the base is 2 inches in diameter. This would have likely had a metal/brass syphon tube but it was gone or had been broken. So I have slipped a plastic syphon tube onto what remained of the metal part. The bottle is very clean inside and out. The quality of the bottle reminds me of Baccarat or Lalique. Perfume Sprayer This listing is for a vintage art glass perfume sprayer bottle. The bottle is made out of blue glass that has been cut to clear. The top is a brass color but I am not sure what type of metal it is. There is still the ball that you squeeze to spray it but it has hardened over the years and I do not know if it will still function as a sprayer. It is marked"Made in France" It stands roughly 5 inches tall. There are no chips. Breaks, damage, or repairs that I can see. I am not sure the exact age of this item but it is definitely older. Here is another wonderful very old bottle from my personal collection. I have had it for many years and decided to bring it out for the holidays to see if any one is interested in it. This bottle is a true antique at least 100- 130 years old. made of glass and very fine filgree with gold ormolu. as you can see in the pics. It has a large blue smooth caboncon stone bezel set and on the sides it has 4 panels that have 3 blue stones each. non missing. the bottle still even has its long glass dauber. I find it interesting that the glass has rounded panels and notches along the sides. CONDITION; I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT THE BOTTLE IS IN WONDERFUL ANTIQUE CONDITION. the gold ormolu is mostly all there. the filigree is all good. For sale is another of my collection of antique perfume bottles. I purchased this at an antique shop some years ago and just love the baby pink and blue inside the clear glass. This bottle is quite heavy- much like a paperweight. It measures about 4 inches wide and 5 inches tall with the stopper. Please look carefully at the last photo. There is one crack in the base(left of center) and one in the stopper(right side) I purchased the bottle in this condition as I felt the cracks were almost impossible to see.
