Description A beautiful vanity or dressing table was once the epitome of style for the fashionable lady's home. This is a fantastic old. Very sweet French Ivory, Bakelite or celluloid perfume bottle. The bottle is inside a square sleeve and it fits perfectly. The glass stopper is octagonal shape and is frosted. I love these old bottles and I love the warmth of the French Ivory/Bakelite. Too bad I have to downsize. The bottle in the sleeve with stopper is 3 1/2" in height and almost 2" square. There are no chips or cracks. First launched in 1924 for the scent"MIRACLE" It is SIGNED on the base in acid-stamped letters"Made in France" The bottle itself was called"floating gold" was designed by Georges Dumoulin and made by BACCARAT in France. It came in three sizes: 5 7/8" h, 4 1/2" h, and 3 1/8" h(bottle& glass stopper) This is the 4 1/2" high size. The beautiful Miracle scent still emanates from the interior when the stopper is removed. One reason for the rarity of this deluxe bottle is because this bottle required a special process to make. Which was difficult and expensive. This led to Lentheric changing to a clear& frosted half-column bottle made by Brosse in 1936. This black glass bottle has curved. Lobed sides in the form ... moreof an elegant skirt, graced with an abstract gold dust pattern. The pattern on each of these bottles made by Baccarat is unique and different from the next. There is a gilt brass collar around the neck of the bottle, a perfectly fitting ground& polished black glass stopper, and a genuine BAKELITE stopper cover imbedded with"gold dust" all original to the bottle. The condition is excellent and impeccable in every way. Except for a small flake on the underside of the beveled base edge(see photo) This mar measures about 3mm across, and cannot be seen at all when the bottle is standing. An interesting side-light is that the Lentheric"Miracle" scent held in this bottle was inspired by a pantomime"The Miracle" staged by Max Reinhardt and starring Lady Diana Manners in 1911. I have seen this same bottle in advertisements for other Lentheric scents Le Matin Au Bois. And Au Fil De L'eau. This is a book piece. Brass top has a embossed flower& designs around it& I think a small dent in the center of the flower. Hard to tell if that is probably part of the shape& design or a actual tiny dent? Hand painted romantic enameled flowers or floral with white& pink teeny tiny mini flowers& mint green blue dots. The back was just some white stems but most of that is worn off. The bottle is a rich royal cobalt BLUE. Just amazing color glass! The glass is solid blue not painted on or dipped in blue. The bottle& lid are approx. 2& 1/2" without the chain. I was told by the seller I bought it from many years ago. This was made in France& called a"finger ring scent bottle" I was told ladies would wear these on there finger as they danced at a ball around the turn of the century& earlier. Very detailed brass metal. These look amazing hanging on a wall or a shadow box or even laying down on a night stand for that romantic Victorian chic look in a bedroom. A piece of old tape residue on bottom-just clean off. Bottle has lovely tiny. Tiny bubbles that early glass has. It has three seams also proove it is an early piece. Marigold color to glass with some carnival irridescent quality-might be some fading to that from age-hard to tell. Top of bottle is what is called Blow Over(means a ground edge without a lip) That edge has a gold trim that has some wear. It had either a cork, or a decorative stopper originally. Here is an Absolutely Beautiful Custard Opaline Enameled Glass Perfume Bottle Dresser Jar. It was probably made in France in the EARLY 1900s. It is a Beautiful Off white Custard colored opaline glass with pink and white enamel petite flowers. And gold gilded petals, stems, and accents. The glass is patterned also with criss-cross lines. It measures 6 3/4" tall with the stopper in and is 2 1/2" in diameter. The stopper has a Petite Pink and White Enameled flower with the same gold gilded leaves, stems and accents on the top of it. Each Crystal bottle is cut in one third pie shape and has a beautiful cut pattern on one side. Each bottle was form to fit perfectly together in the brass holder. Two of the bottles appear to me to be in Very good condition with no issues except for a missing brass band around the neck. The other bottle does have a chip in the lip and the brass band and stopper does not appear to be original. The brass(I am assuming it is brass) holder has turquois and dark blue colored stones in it. I am pricing this lower due to the condition issues. BIG Antique French Perfume Bottle with Cherub & Lady
A Big antique French Perfume bottle. The Bottle is made from Cut Crystal or Glass and the decorative mounts are gilded metal. There are two charming scenes of a little cherub and a lady. One depicts them gathering sticks and the other warming themselves by a fire, in addition there are pretty rose garlands and acanthus leaves. The underside is marked"Made in France" Overall dimensions are 9 3/4" high and 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" at the base. The French Perfume Bottle is in good overall condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. There is a small bend on one corner of the base and wear to the gilding on the top and bottom, see photos. Colorful design and charming detail. The bottle has an octagonal shape with vivid pink and green striping with gold detail. The green striped sections have portraits of either a bird or a butterfly on them. The cap is an orange color and there does appear to be a glued repair to the base of the cap at the top of the stopper but the repair appears to be secure and is noticeable only upon close inspection of the cap. There are no other chips to the porcelain at all. There is quite a bit of wear to the gold painted details along the edges of the octagonal shape(not on the panels ... moreat all) and I think that originally there would not have been any of the white showing. The portraits of the birds and the butterflies are completely intact and very detailed and vivid with each design being just slightly different. The cap of the bottle looks like it had striping going up from the bottom of the cap to the top but this is almost all worn away. Overall this is a finely designed and well made, porcelain and enamel perfume bottle, that was made in France during the early 1900's and is in very good condition. Hello up for auction is this beautiful Sterling Silver and French cut crystal 19th Century Perfume bottle. Measures approx. 3.5 inches high The glass is french cut. With sterling silver top and bottom. The sterling silver parts are detachable and are both marked Sterling 107 There is a makers mark on the bottom that looks like it is a W or AV hard to make out. Antique French Opaline Perfume or Cologne Bottle, Souvenir Painting in Lid
This lovely old French opaline perfume or cologne bottle covered in perforated lattice ormolu. Is in very nice condition considering the age and delicate nature of the item. It's a mid to late 1800s Paris souvenir item for Grand Tour travelers. Set into the cap and protected under glass is a small painting of a palace. There is a small chip in the glass but it is on the underside because the top is smooth. There is no moisture damage and the picture is clear. Raised on a 1 1/4" diameter brass ormolu plinth, the oval body of the perfume flask, bottle is 3" tall. The bottle is 4 3/4" high in total. The base is etched in beautiful floral sprays. The handles have small female figures on them. The lid opens and closes easily. The top is slightly dented. The entire lid is unglued and comes off from the base. There is a small amount of the toilet water inside the bottle. This bottle is very pretty to display and would look beautiful in a collection. or in a French. Shabby, or cottage setting. This is a very nice heavy glass perfume bottle. I started to clean the lid of the bottle. My rag smelled of lilac, I decided to leave the rest for the buyer to decide if they wanted to clean it or leave it. It does come off.

The cut pattern is so beautiful and facets really make it sparkle in the light. No chips. Cracks or nibbles to the glass anywhere that I can see or feel. It is in excellent condition. The gold tone(brass? hardware is in great condition with only a few tiny surface marks. No dents and overall the hardware is still very shiny. Right where the collar meets the glass I think there was a gold band but some of it has rubbed thin. I do feel strong puffs of air escape with the bulb is squeezed. The internal brass syphon tube is intact. The bottle is very clean in side and out. Most likely French made and could be a Baccarat bottle since it is of the quality and ... moreheaviness.
