The repair however seems to have been made with bitumen(tar) which would indicate that the repair was ancient. Some of the bitumen has been lost, so there is a small hole in the side of the bottle. But it appears to have been repaired and reused in ancient Rome– a rather uncommon find. Small jars. Antique German or Bavarian Porcelain Perfume Scent Snuff Bottle with Ring Attachment. It has a hand painted tavern scene on it with the beer steins and elk antlers in background. The lid and ring are probably brass. The bottle itself is 2 1/4" tall. With the chain it is 4 1/4" long. The bottle is 1 3/8" wide and about 1/2" deep. The lid is 15mm across and works very well. The painting is in great condition with no scratches or wear. The lid has wear and darkening from age and use.

Art Deco Perfume Bottle, Black Glass, Mint Condition, German/Czech, 1900-1940
For Auction: an Art Deco. Black Faceted Glass Perfume Bottle. With original stopper, and silk tassel with matching glass bead. Stands approximately 3.5 inches tall(9 centimeters) and weighs approximately 6.5 ounces. This perfume bottle belonged to my grandmother who brought it to the U.S. with her in 1932. I remember seeing it on her dresser while growing up. So I can vouch for the age of this piece. Since I am approaching 70! She came to the US from southern Germany, via Berne Switzerland. So the bottles origins are somewhere in that area of Europe. It still has a vague scent of the original perfume(kind of flower-like) Hoping to find a good home for it. Maybe yours? Happy Bidding!

The perfume bottles are approximately 3 1/4" tall, no chips or cracks, some tiny rubs on the skirts, lovely face paint. They are both marked with an incised"Germany" on the bottom back side of the skirts as well as numbers on the underside that I can't quite make out. Both appear to have had their stoppers replaced, the originals are inside the bottles, one stopper is a little loose. The powder puff is 3" square, excellent condition, still retains some of the original wrapper. Box is wrapped in Christmas paper with some soiling and shelf wear but has done a great job protecting the contents all these years. Sweet little antique ceramic perfume bottle with brass and cork stopper. The stopper crown can be twisted into an open or closed position which allows you to sprinkle the perfume from the top of the crown when it is in open position. Italy~one I bought a few years back on a journey to Venice& Murano, Italy. It is a new one(not old like the bottle) fits the top perfectly. Stunning. Vintage Irice mini perfume bottle in excellent condition. Glass bottle wrapped in gold filigree and adorned with 1 large blue stone surrounded by 6 smaller jewels on the body. The cap also has one blue stone at the top. Glass dauber is intact. The bottle measures 2 3/4" high.

ANTIQUE PERFUME BOTTLE TRIO GERMAN w/ GILTED METAL CADDY HOLDER FRENCH? 1900's
What a wonderful Christmas present this would make for that special person in your life! This is an antique trio of perfume bottles. Each with a faceted perfume dauber, tightly encased in a one of a kind gilted metallic caddy holder. The footed holder is 3 1/4" tall at top of the tallest flower and is nearly 4 1/2" across. The flowers are very ornate and everything is in perfect condition. The patina shows some age. there are no makers marks on the holder, that I can see. The bottles are 4 1/2" tall, each one has a faceted glass top with a glass dauber extending down into the bottle. The glass daubers each have a little soft roughness in the glass near the ends to ensure that a small amount of perfume clings to the glass when being removed to be used. On the bottom of each bottle, in a very light, fine white lined circle are ... morethe words"BOTTLE MADE IN GERMANY" in extremely tiny letters. Nearly faded out on one of the bottles but still legible on all three. NO cracks, chips, repairs, other than the tiny nick on a corner of one of the facets of one crystal stopper as noted in the above description. The only way to find it is to feel for the tiny nick. I am not sure if the footed holder is what is called brass ormolu. If anyone knows for sure, would appreciate an email! Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments.
