Really cool rusted iron black cat taken(NOT stolen) from the top of a fence. It's about 16 inches long tail to head. The tail is about 11 inches to the ground and the head about 8 inches. Vintage Angelus Cast Iron Metal Bookends Doorstop Praying Couple for Harvest
These are vintage cast iron bookends or doorstops. They both have a couple praying over the harvest. One is more rusted than the other. They both need cleaning and seasoning. Also on one is marked Angelus. From research that I did they are from the early 1900's. The taller on is approximately 4 and 5/8" tall and 4 and 3/4" wide. The shorter one marked Angelus is approximately 4 and 1/4" tall and 4 and 1/2" wide.

Piece was made about 1930. Doorstop measures 12 3/4 inches high and weighs in at a little over 7 pounds. Figure has a beautiful patina over the whole figure. There is a good amount of wear which adds to the charm. I have included a bunch of photos so you can see exactly what you are bidding. Vintage Cast Iron dog puppy on pillow Doorstop
Estate found this is 5.5" tall cast iron dog puppy doorstop sits on a 7" wide painted pillow. Cute dog seems to have the RCA Victor dog Nipper pose. As can be expected with these old doorstops there is some loss of surface paint and some flaking. Part of one ear is broken off. Looks natural from the front and a little black paint will make it look more natural from the side and rear. Nice item to add to your collection! Please email with any questions. This is a really cute cast iron doorstop of two dogs. I believe these are English Pointers but am not sure. They are situated in a wooded area. Usual wear to paint. Etc but overall good condition-see photos. I do not know the manufacturer of this piece but believe it is circa 1920s. Six inches long and about 5.5 inchess tall. Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Beautiful Colorful Flowers French Basket By Hubley For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection Details Description: An antique cast iron doorstop cast in the form of a tall wicker basket having a braided handle with a bow on top. The basket is full of colorful flowers. The flowers are colored in red. Pink, gray, and blue. The entire piece still retains most of its original paint with minimum losses on the high points of the flowers. The gold colored basket has a black semispherical shaped base. It has a looped handle showing a braided branch design on top with a bow above it all. The back is colored in a gold color. Just a beautiful piece. See page 62 in John and Nancy Smith's book"The Doorstop Book: An Encyclopedia of Doorstop Collecting Published by Schiffer Books of Atglen, PA in 2006 for a similar ... moreexample. This particular doorstop is a bit smaller in dimensions measuring only 10 3/4" and 6 3/8" which could be an indication that this piece is a vintage reproduction. This is an old cast iron lighthouse doorstop my parents had lying around. It measures 9 1/2 inches tall by 8 1/8 inches wide and weighs a little over 2lbs. It has some flaking paint and a little surface rust as you can see in the pictures. I'm not sure who made it or when it was made but my parents have had it for several years. Boston Terrier, Cast Iron Doorstop, Hubley? Vintage, Unique!
Yes there are over 200 Boston Terrier doorstops on eBay. But this one seems a bit different. First, I am no expert, just cleaning out a deceased relatives things. He is in the style of the famous Hubley terriers, perhaps he is a Hubley, but unlike all others on eBay, he has an open belly cavity, as shown in the photos. Two flathead screws with what appears to be original grout. Paint is chipped as one would expect for a vintage working doorstop, but his joints are super tight and he is a solid-feeling handsome fellow. Markings are realistic for the breed and he has a lovely expression. This has been in use in our family well before the 1950s, please give him a good home. I did a little research and the Angel could be referred to as the Angel of Death. Paint does have some wear and tear. There is a glued on piece of green felt on the bottom and am pretty sure it is not original to the piece. I was unable to find a makers mark. My best guess is there might be one on the bottom of the piece. This might be a true collectors piece! If not, with as heavy as it is, it is going to keep pretty much any door open! Vintage Cast Iron Flower Pot Basket Statue Doorstop
Great vintage cast iron flower pot door stop. Colorful pastel paint with silver highlights has various spots where it is chipped or worn away. Some corrosion. But has a wonderful overall appearance. Weighs a hefty 5 lbs 3 ounces, stands approx 9.25 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide. Unknown maker as I do not see any markings at all.
