Up for auction I have a cute little miniature scotty dog or some type of terrier in the cold painted bronze Vienna- style. This little guy. However, was made in Japan, as embossed on his underside. I cannot make out what the maker's mark inside of the diamond shape says. This piece is about two inches long. I can get better measurements if needed. I assume it is bronze, but it could be a different metal, I am not entirely knowledgeable about types of metal. There is a loop on the dog's collar which may have held a leash or something. There is an unusual hole in the dog's mouth. Where he must have held something, or perhaps where he is meant to hold something(almost the size of a pencil or cigarette) Some paint is flaking off, as is usual for an old piece like this. The bottom indicates the mark of Thomas Abbott of Birmingham, England- well-respected for his detailed and high quality bronze work in the mid-1800's. Here is a handsome three branch candelabra in brass and pewter finished ormolu/spelter. Measuring 20 inches tall without candles, branches span about 10 inches wide. Finely detailed with classical harvest motifs. A very decorative and substantial candle stick for mantel or table top use, probably dating from late 19th or early 20th century, but not certain of this. Bottom bears"Pat Pend" mark. This cast bronze inkwell is done in the Renaissance Revival style. It is decorated with horns and other musical instruments. The cover to the well is decorated with acanthus leaves. It has an attached gallery on the back. It is 10 ½ inches long. 7 ½ inches deep and 3 ¼ inches high. It is likely French and dates circa 1880. It does not have a well insert. There is some polish residue on the inkwell. There is also a couple of spots that are brown, possibly from a stain.
