It measures approx 2-1/2 inches wide and about 5 inches tall. the figure is unmounted. There is a pin in the right foot and the let hand for mounting on a base. This is an extremely rare. Original, solid bronze set of antique Hubley bookends featuring a bear standing on his hind legs at a moorish style door. This is a set you are unlikely to see again. Each bookend stands 5" tall, 3 1/8" long, 3" wide and weighs 3 lbs. 6 lbs. for the pair) They are in very good condition. Fabulous set with excellent detailing. Hubley Manufacturing was based in Lancaster, PA and is considered one of the most collectible companies of metal arts of the 19th and 20th centuries. Extremely rare pair of antique French Art Deco solid bronze bookends featuring children having a snowball fight. Circa 1915. The children have a snowball in hand with extras resting on the other arm waiting to pelt. They are sitting on sleds which were molded to resemble wood. They are wearing sleeveless jumpsuits and booties with a gathered collar. Pointed hats with a feather. Delightful. Each bookend stands 4 1/2" tall, 41/4" long, 2 1/2" wide and weighs 2 lbs. 4 lbs. for the pair) They are in very good condition. The bronzes are both fine, one feather is closer to the cap than the other and appears to be the way it was made. The marble has a few chips. Both are marked with the number 670 under the sled frame. This is an old original European set.

For sale is an antique. Or vintage, solid cast brass or bronze statue sculpture of a Victorian lady. I am not exactly sure the age or origin of this piece, but it did come from an estate sale where most of the stuff in the home was of the Arts& Crafts era. She was a pretty big collector of old early 1900's pieces, or styled like pieces. I gave this piece the magnet test and it did not stick, so I am figuring it is either brass or bronze. There is really no patina so it is hard for me to distinguish. This piece is solid all the way through and pretty heavy for its size. I could make a great bookend, doorstop, etc. There are no cracks, breaks, or chips to be found. Nice ornate detailing, but not too ornate at the same time, having almost a uniquely crudish artistic appeal(in my opinion) All around a great piece of art! It is my belief that it dates to the mid to late 1800’s Part way around the bowl both on the inside and on the outside it has a gadrooned finish. Which imitates a shell. Where the angel is situated the bowl is smooth and the bowl lowers in size at this end. The angel has been situated in a cheeky pose. Resting its head in its hands. This is a fabulous, rare and charming piece. The measurements are: It stands 4.2cms or 1¾” tall at the tallest end and 3.7cms or 1½” at the angel end. An awesome rare find this morning at a local Flea Market. Somewhat ironic that the piece was found in a Church Bazar knowing Falloux was actually ex-communicated by the Bishop of Angers in 1876. The bronze plaque rests in a nicely carved piece of Victorian oak. The frame measures 11 1/2 inches square. The solid bronze plaque disc measures 8 inches in diameter. I was able to photograph the inside of the plaque by removing 3 tiny nails which held in it place. Originally the plaque would probably been cemented in place judging by the dust particles found inside the details of the plaque. The inscription reads"Alfred de Falloux. Nee a Angers le 7 Mai 1811.
