SPRING EXTRAVAGANZA& NO RESERVE SALE- Items starting at a fraction of their value. This auction is for a beautiful pair of Art Deco bronze and sterling candlesticks by Heintz. They are incredible with their original patina. There is no evidence of damage or repair. Except the presence of wax where they were used. The petals around the candlestick holder are slightly moveable as the item was made. They cannot be repositioned that much. All of the sterling is in tact with no loss. You can tell by looking that these are just quality items. Each candlestick measures 6 3/4 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches diameter. Every part is sturdy on these pieces with the nice wide base. It is 8 1/4" tall. 4" wide at the base and has some dents and scratches. The candle holder is the rare one. It is 5 3/4" tall by 4 1/2" diameter at the bottom. In the very center of the bottom it looks like it might have been partially hallmarked but you can't make it out. It does not look like the Heintz logo. This one also has scratches and dents. Rare Heintz Silver on Bronze Covered Urn
I've never come across this particular pattern in all my Heintz collecting. It is devoid of patina(on the outside. At any rate) and has an ionic border around the top of the jar just under where the lid fits onto the lip of the urn. The shape is pleasantly simple, between art noveau and art deco in design. I think that this urn had a brown patina at one time, but that it was polished off by someone over the years who was trying to polish the silver work at the top of the jar. Other than this there are no apologies whatsoever. Priced to move- It's very large for the price due to the lack of patina that many collectors prefer. But it's large and well formed at 9.5 inches and no damage to speak of- it's very well priced. Lovely Silver Cast Bronze Letter Holder marked Deponirt with a filigree design featuring two young angels or cherubs. Roses and a bird. The letter holder is in Good Condition, although at one time it had a circle over the bird at the top. The piece weighs about two pounds. As found in an estate sale. Has not been cleaned. Deponirt" old writing form of"deponiert" is a term used in Germany. Switzerland and Austria. It is based on the French"deposer" to deposit" and states that the item had been locally registered(at a civil court or such in the region in which the manufacturer resided) Such a marking says nothing about the manufacturer. And does not identify which of the three countries the item was made.

Hello I am offering this BEAUTIFUL pair of HEINTZ STERLING ON Silvered BRONZE BOOKENDS. They have a classic raised. Soaring Seagull design of solid sterling silver. They measure 5" high and 5 1/2" wide. They are in good vintage condition with minor marks, normal wear, I have not polished. They are numbered 7114 and marked with Heintz diamond device.Here is some background: Otto Heintz was born into a family of manufacturing jewelers established in 1875 in Buffalo. NY. By about 1902 he had purchased a small company, renamed it the Art Crafts Shop, and began design and manufacture of copper items with colored enamel decoration. He was granted three patents. By 1906 he changed the name to Heintz Art Metal Shop, and shifted to bronze as the base material and sterling silver as ornamentation. The Art Crafts Shop hammered“look” was replaced ... moreby a series of machine-shaped bodies with sophisticated patinas. The definitive patent for applying sterling silver to bronze without solder was granted August 27, 1912. Heintz’ line consisted of vases and bowls.
