Normal 0 This is a wonderful pair of B& H brass candlesticks. Manufactured by Bradley& Hubbard. Known as the"masters of Metal Work" Bradley and Hubbard manufacturing was in business from 1852- 1940. These candlesticks stand 8.5" tall with a cast iron brass on copper plated pyramid shaped base. The base supports a hollow. 1.25" square, brass column. They are topped with a square cap and cast zinc candle-holder. The candle-holder is bolted to the cast iron base with a long threaded rod. Which runs through the center shaft of the column. They are marked on the bottom with the raised"B&H" and the number"205" These are a vintage item and do show wear with fine scratches from previous cleanings. There is minor pitting to some of the brass exposing copper. There are no dents. French Art Deco Book Ends Pair of French spelter* bookends from the art déco era. Featuring lovely birds(most likely sparrows) in a nicely refined style typical of the 1930s. Each piece is mounted on a grayish/white marble base which is 4¾” by 3” wide. And measures 5½” high up to the tip of the elongated tails(by comparison. The tallest book shown in the 1 st photo is just over 7” tall) These statuettes are elegantly cast and finished with a beautifully aged golden patina. They remain in fantastic condition. Without any breaks or crackling. There are a very few tiny chips along the edges of the marble bases. But quite difficult to notice. Pair of 12" brass plates for wall hanging. Dutch boy facing left with large bell in window. Wooden fence behind him, sun rising over left shoulder.Dutch girl faces right, poking a chicken with a stick, windmill in background, wooden clogs and dirndl type frock. Carrying large basket.Both plates have what appears to be handwritten letters on back- CH CLN. Girl's plate has numbers 636 stamped in old-fashioned font towards center of back of plate;Boy's plate is probably 634, although it could be 684, stampe in same place on back. Both plates have a single handmade wire loop soldered to back for hanging. I can date these to somewhere in the mid- to late fifties, thanks to the previous owner, but have no idea who the manufacturer or artist was.

The candle cups appear to be made of copper and the rest of the base and arms appear to be of a combination of metals. These footed(3) ewers measure 11.5" high X 4.25" from handle ... moreto handle) Nice heavy solid pieces with decorative floral accented handles. Floral crest in the center of urn on both sides. Scroll work around base. Both ewers match in design but color is different on each. One seems to be much darker overall in color( possibly heavy dust) and the other lighter as if the finish is worn or rubbed off. The bottoms are a nice gold in color which I'm guessing was the original color and initialed in a raised J. L. I don't want to attempt to clean or polish them as I am unsure of the metal type. Both tops have a decorative finial on top which look like they could possibly be grapes. The darker of the 2 pieces seems to have lost the tip of its foot and the color inside almost matches the color on the bottom. The metal inside where the tip broke off is solid. These pieces are pretty heavy for their size weighing almost 1.25 lb each. There is a nut on the bottom as well which seems to hole the entire piece together. Vintage brass candelabra pair, circa 19th century w/ figural hounds
Beautiful pair of heavy brass or bronze vintage candelabras. They are each approximately 23" high. 9.25" wide, and 8.25" deep. The base measures 7" x 7" Their combined weight is approximately 27 pounds. I believe these are 19th century but I have no way of authenticating the age. They have interesting figural hounds near the top and are very well made. I have not been able to locate any makers marks on them. These 2 funny little plates were found in my Aunties basement(she's 90! They measure 10" across and are decorated with 2 little chefs performing different tasks in the kitchen and captioned in french. Use the zoom option to look at these guys as they bungle through their duties. The backs of the plates are marked with a crest and read" Daher Decorated Ware" Made in Holland" The one plate has a rusted spot where the plate has come off, its about the size of a quarter as seen in the photo.
