LOVELY PAIR OF ART NOUVEAU NORTH AMERICAN NATIVE INDIAN GILT CAST IRON BOOKENDS
Why not have a look at my other auctions and store items for interesting militaria etc? Here is a lovely set of bookends. Likely made from the 1880's to the 1940's. They are certainly Art Nouveau style but then the Native romantic period approximately spans those years too. These are cast iron with a lovely gold patina, not unlike a Vienna bronze finish. Each is 4 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" tall. The pair is in excellent condition. The fellow depicted is wearing a chief's head dress of eagle feathers, a medallion around his neck and typical choker neckband. They're a great set of turn-of-the-century art and would make a nice addition to any Art Nouveau collection, as well as any library collection. Perfect also for an Art Deco book case. Pair 1860s Cast Iron Rivets Cast Iron Architectural Capital Corinthian Victorian
Each of these finely preserved Civil War era cast iron elements is composed of 4 separately cast pieces joined by blacksmith rivets. They measure app. 6 ½” x 13” square and have 7 3/8” diameter center holes and are free of cracks and weld repairs. One tiny upper corner(near the rivet hole) on one face is gone. Otherwise there is no loss. The outer surfaces are pitted and rusty with warm brown naturally aged patina. The insides were painted red for some reason? Many of the original hammered rivets have been replaced with old round head machine bolts as an attractive form of repair. They have richly scrolled volutes and deeply cast egg and dart details on all 4 sides of each. These have a total packaged weight of almost 90 pounds and will ship in 2 packages. Each one features a nice raised relief of iconic Free Mason symbols. Each one measures about 5 7/8 inches tall by 2 1/8 inches deep by 6 inches wide, overall. They have a great aged green verde patina. Are very sturdy and heavy, weighing nearly 3 lbs each! Each one has the# 9753 on them. There is some minor surface oxidation and one has a very old back repair that was wonderfully done. These would enhance anyone's book collection. these measure 5 1/2" tall and on oval base long side is 4 1/2" then side to side its 3 3/4" looks like someone else has cut away the felt probably to try and figure out who the maker was but it say's nothing underside.you can see some surface rust but nothing severe. they are painted black with brown eyes and red collars. my guess as too the type of dog could be off but seemed the closets to me. they have a lab appearrance but longer hair. these were an Estate piece.

Beautiful matching cast iron panels of sunflowers. Cattails and greenery with an Art Deco/Nouveau flair ~ Each piece measures 12 x 10.75" and their combined weight is just alittle over 7 pounds. The design is done in 3D relief with paint in the lower levels. Green, yellow, brown and gold. Original purpose is a mystery to me. decorative wood stove parts perhaps, not sure. There are holes on the back for a finial type screw and bolt set up. The panel only has one on each ~ 2 total. But they will show you what is suppose to be used. Additionally. One corner on each panel has a bad weld repair along the upper left hand corner. So the hole needed to secure those same corners is no longer there. Although the corners are a heart breaker. The majority of this old iron is still amazing. Shouldn't be terribly difficult to find a new use for ... morethem or a way to anchor them into place. There is a marking on the back/center of a Sun with an'M' in the middle + 5958 59 on both parts. magnet is drawn to it ~ metal is a silver pewter like color. Description A previously owned pair of Old early 1900s Brass or Bronze Vases or urns. No chips. Nicks, cracks, or repairs I can see. No makers marks I can see. Embossed flowers and leaves around top sides and base. They have been used. They are thick heavy metal, weigh about 3 pounds each before being boxed for shipping. They have been painted at least once with a gold or brass colored background and green leaves and orange and red flowers. They are 9 1/2" tall, the base is 3 7/8" wide and top rim is 3 5/8" wide. MATCHED PAIR ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CAST IRON BOOT SCRAPERS
This is a matched pair of solid cast iron boot scrapers. Each has raised design identical on both sides. Aside from the myriad experiences in their antiquity and the grime and accumulation over their years they are. To my eye in beautiful condition with no chips, breaks or cracks of any kind. They are solid cast iron each weighing approx 4 lbs. There are traces of degraded old paint which in some areas tend to obscure the design and make them less sharp. A cleaning bath will surely remedy this condition. I have done nothing to clean them as many purists prefer them in as found condition. The only wear associated with these is a polished appearance at the very edges where hundreds if not thousands of boot scrapes have polished the cast iron which ads to their character. Check out my other items! AUCTION DESCRIPTION: Hubley Manufacturing Co. 1894-1964 Libery Bell& Minuteman Circa: 1922 Guaranteed to be old and all original Hubley. It is again my pleasure to bring to Ebay this wonderful solid sand cast iron pair of a lovely coppery gilt Hubley signed 338 and 339 wonderful and historical set of bookends. This set is one of the rarest and hard to find that Hubley Manufacturing Co. produced. It is only the second set I have acquired in my 43 years of collecting cast iron items in this wonderful condition. I am not absolutely sure why this set has been so hard to find in good condition other than possibly there were not that many actually produced and being of cast iron they may have been disposed of because of being badly oxidized over the years. This set depicts a single end with the United States Liberty ... moreBell embossed with script along with a standing United States Minuteman. The original casting has been bronze plated and then a wonderful old brick red monochrome finish was applied over the fronts and backs but leaving the bell. Minuteman, and high point area a wonderful honey bronze color. The script writing saying 1774 Minuteman and Liberty Bell are also highlighted with the golden finish. They would have to be rated as excellent to near perfect with very minor thinning of the brick color and ever so lightly worn bronze finish to the edges. I have seen a few of these listed on Ebay over the years and not one pair was close to the wonderful condition as this pair. These are nearly duplicates of Griffoul productions. Specifications: Height 5-25” Width 4.00” Depth 2.5” each Weighs 7 lbs. Condition: No oxidation. No breaks or missing parts. You could add replacement felts which is very easy to do or I can add upon request at no charge. Upside appreciation is excellent and are considered a very rare matched pair. Exceptional 19th century gilted, cast iron Native American Indian statue pair
Exceptional. Ca. 19th century cast iron Native American Indian figural statue pair Offered at 7 day no reserve auction is this finely detailed pair of Native American Indian cast iron statues. They most likely date to about 1880 or 1890. Made of cast iron and painted in a gold. gilt' type of paint, this pair measures 10 inches tall and approximately 4 inches wide at the base. After being evaluated by a couple of experts, they feel strongly they are most likely Tobacconist countertop cigar store figures. For clarity, I should also point out they have also been described to me as Stove Finials. I feel they are more likely countertop cigar store displays due to the tobacco leaves in the hair of each, and what appears to be a cigar in the waistband of the Native American man. In either instance they are extremely ornate and beautiful. Condition ... moreis equally exceptional for their age as you can see in the high resolution photos. There is a minute amount of gilt wear at some of the extreme edges as pictured. I would say easily 98 to 99 percent of the gilt is intact. Pair Antique Art Deco Nude Lady Dancing Figure Cast Iron Doorstops Bookends Each of the two doorstops measures approximately 9-1/4"H x 7-1/4"W x 3-1/2"D. Each weighs over 8 pounds. Both are marked on the back with what appears to be numbers, but this is very hard to make out. The bookends are made of solid cast iron and look like they were plated to resemble bronze. The plating has overall general wear which is more extensive in some areas. There are some spots of surface rust. Exact age is unknown. These could also be used as bookends. This beautiful set of bookends or doorstops are a perfect addition for the dog collector. Made of of cast metal. But I am not sure what kind of metal. They are very heavy weighing in at over 3.5 lbs each. Measuring approximately 6.25" tall. There is one blemish to the side of one of the bookends. Please see picture 5.
