Antique bamboo umbrella stand with cast iron drip plate. This is the real thing not a reproduction. Probably from the 1940's-1950's. Cou ld be older. That is my best guess. Bamboo has the tortoise shell look with wooden turned finials and chains on each side. It is not in perfect condition and needs a good cleaning. Very usable and decorative for that special little spot. Stands about 32" tall and the triangle shape is about 14" on each side. Weight is about 9 pounds. Most of it being the cast iron dri p plate. Antique Cast Iron Ashtray / Smoking Stand - Art Deco Figural Dragon - 25" Tall
Antique Cast Iron Ashtray/ Smoking Stand- Art Deco Figural Dragon- 25" Tall: Up for auction is a fantastic Antique/ Vintage Cast Iron Ashtray Stand that I came across on one of my recent'picking adventures' The ashtray/ smoking stand is in excellent condition as it is very clean and it is free of any cracks. Chips, breaks or repairs. The heavy ashtray cup sits perfectly between the body and curled up tail of the dragon, secured in place by two small slotted groves on the cup itself and the cup is easily removed from the stand for cleaning. The inside of the cup is very clean, showing only the slightest area of surface rust(easily cleaned) and this light surface rust is not penetrating nor is the cast iron pitted in any way. What is missing from the the ashtray cup is the lid which would rest on top and hide the contents of the ... moreashtray. This is not a major concern as these lids can be found from time to time and the absence of the lid takes nothing away from the wonderful look and appeal to this stand. The entire stand is painted in a way which resembles that of copper with a perfectly aged patina. Initially I had photographed the stand outside under the natural sunlight but I was finding that the sunlight was too bright, giving the coloration of the stand a more golden yellow toned color versus the actual copper toned look that it has however I found that the natural sunlight brought out the fantastic details of the stand so I decided to keep them with this posting but please know that the coloration is best represented in the photographs of the stand against the plain white sheet of paper. The paint is also in excellent condition having only a couple of small chips in it, all of which are hard to notice unless closely inspecting the piece and the ornate base raises the stand slightly off of the floor while balancing the piece perfectly in a sturdy manner. The pot measures 11 1/2 inches tall. It sits on a rod iron stand and the coffee pot sits on it and tips for pouring. I am not sure of the year. We found it in my Uncle's shed with most of his camp items. He was a logger from the 1930's 40's and early 50's. It was cleaned a few years ago. Machine age. Mid century modern, industrial umbrella or cane stand made of cast iron and brass. The base is an unusual shield or triangle shape. Very heavy solid decorative and unique piece. I purchased this piece at an estate sale about 10 years ago. It is marked on the bottom with a G and an E inside of the G. Below it is the number 2. At the opposite side it is marked ges.gesche which I believe means there was a German patent involved. The G may stand for the Giesserei Foundry in Germany. The rust is all surface and could easily be cleaned and painted. As you can see in the photos there is still quite a bit of the original silver metallic hammered finish remaining. A very common finish for the machine age era. One of the three circular brass rods occasionally pops out of the center sprocket but just needs to be pushed back in place. The ... morebrass is a thick 1/4" across when you measure the rod from side to side. Total height to top of the handle is 26 inches. The triangular base is approximately 8 inches across. This piece is very much in the style of Bosse. Hagenauer, Auboeck(Aubock) etc. but I am not an expert so do not know the exact age or to whom the design may be attributed. Up for bids Antique 1920s Scroll Art Studios Co. Iron Smoking Stand. I believe this to be a floor smoking stand. However I am not positive that is its true purpose. Made of iron with a dark brown patina and original hints of gold paint. Stands approximate 31" to handle top with 10 1/4" four footed base. Upper tray is a 6 3/4" square within a 8" diameter circle with two 2 7/8" x 1 1/2" recessed holders. Top cup measures 2 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide x 1 1/2" deep with open bottom& sides. The center upright is six sided bar stock and threaded with nut on the bottom. The top is probably also threaded and removable but will not move for me. I did not want to force it. This is a very high quality antique 19th century solid cast iron and bronze floor ashtray smoking stand. It is extremely ornate and made from thick material making it extremely heavy. 19th Century Wrought Iron Table BRIDGE Lamp Candle Stand bird adjustable light
I am not an expert on this item so please look at the photos and make your own decisions and ask any questions you may have. My father found this 20 years ago and now due to him being Ill we are starting to sell some items. I love the bird carving on the top. It is about 26 inches tall and about 12 inches wide It is rusty and shows no sign of paint. Fully adjustable to any height UP TO 26 INCHES And very heavy probably around 5 to 10 lbs The cup portion under where the bulb or candle would go seem to have some heavy rust damage. This area is very fragile and I just hope it can withstand the shipping process. Antique Vintage Cast Iron And Brass Cherub Plant Stand
A lovely antique or vintage plant stand. I think it could be late Victorian but I'm not sure. It's very old. The base has beautiful detailed work and the cherub is just adorable and the brass bowl on top is very nicely done. It's in good shape a little pitting as shone in the pictures. I think is normal wear for something this old. He measures 16 inches high and the bowl on top is just the right size for a small plant. The brass bowl measures 5 x 5 1/2 inches.
