These still retain about 60% of their original copper flash finish. The condition is good with a few darken age spots and a few dabs of old paint. These are getting increasingly hard to find in this condition, when you consider only a few Victorian homes had 2 or 3 of these you then can understand why. Although these were originally used as handrail brackets they also can be used as a unique and interesting small shelf brackets. A friend of mine used ones similar to these for that in her bathroom and I must say they looked good. The circular attachment base is about 2 ¼” diameter and they would extend from the wall about 3 ¼” I also have a pair like these listed that don’t extend out quite as much. Circ. late 1800s– 1920s. What looks like hand-hammered, brass bucket. The bucket has a nice rolled rim and a loop handle made out of a ferrous metal(it sticks to a magnet) with hooked ends inserted into brass eyelets situated on both sides of the bucket. The eyelets are made of brass and are attached to the side of the bucket with copper rivets. The bucket has a slightly rounded circular base with flared sides rising to the rolled rim. The sides and base of the bucket shows marks of hammering to form it. The inside of the bucket has incised concentric circles in the bottom and incised lines running around the sides near the top and close to the bottom. This is a nice size and substantial bucket weighing almost ... more1 3/4 pounds. Just a beautiful piece of older brass, which would look great in your collection. Antique French Hand Forged Iron Hammered Copper Dovetail Pot Kettle Cauldron
This is a fantastic original VERY OLD antique copper cauldron that came over from France with its previous owners in the middle of the 20th century. Although it is much older than that. It is in good condition with obvious wear from age and use with a gorgeous aged patina with verdigris. The dovetail construction is evident on the side under the hand forged iron handle. There is also an iron band around the top. All of the seams are tight, nothing is separating, there are no holes or cracks, and the damage is limited to a few dents and dings along with some scuffs and scratches from use and some charring on the bottom surface from use over a fire. There is also some residue on the inside from use. It measures 13" in diameter x 11" H, not including the handle. It will be packed very well and insured during shipping.

This hung ouside the saw mill in Massachusettes for almost 150 years with touchups to the sign portion. The 75 year old former owner remembers it hanging out there when he was a kid and said it was there forever before that. Great vintage metal most likely cast iron(a magnet sticks to it) cat or kitten hand painted bank- great colors and form. I have no idea the maker or when it was made. It stands about 5" tallest at left ear x approx. 3 and 3/4" wide x about 3 and 1/2" thick. The hand painted type colors are very nice over a white or off-white base: black eyes and brows. Baby blue ribbon with some pink and pink ears.The kitten's nose and mouth are red. Condition is nice for age but does show some wear as seen in pictures- you can see some rust and paint loss along the seams that hold the bank together and sporadically through. The bottom also has some rust and scratches on it. Overall, it still shows well but that is my opinion as I do like this look of age to it. However, there are no holes on the bottom to attach it to any secure surface.I did considerable research trying to find one close to it bu t with no success. It is exceptional in both its design and workmanship. The curled feet and similar designed center section along with the twisted bar at the top and nicely curved ball ends on the sides attest to both the makers talent and ability.It measures 7 5/8" wide through the middle,13" wide at the top, 9" tall. And 6 1/4"in depth at the bottom. It is in excellent as found condition. Made from very thick cast iron, has a wonderful patina from age, and is extremely heavy. it has a beautiful heavily embossed floral scene on the oval face and trimmed with a nice ribbed design. Hand Done Vintage Hammered Copper Discus Vase Planter Wrought Iron 14" Tall
Up for auction is a rare vintage"discus" planter. Vase, decorator item. It's a beautiful piece. All the wrought iron is hand done. It measures 13" at the base and 14" pretty much every where else. The opening is 7"x3" It weigh 3& 1/4 lbs. I didn't touch the patina, there's plenty of new shiny ones out there to be had. The underside of the base was sprayed with tan primer at one point. I hardly ever find these. I'd you put the right flowers in it, looks really cool. People only brought their most precious things with them from The East Coast to Hawaii and people tend to take care of them. That's why I can sell these items for less.
