Up for sale is a nice Antique Bronze Horse I bought from an antiques dealer. It is in great condition. Has some lovely spots of green patina coming through on some of the detailwork making it stand out beautifully, will grow even more beautiful with age. Was made about a hundred years ago. Cast bronze, it is approximately 8" from nose to tail and 7 1/2" from feet to the top of the ears, it is heavy and weighs almost 3 lbs. This would look great on any mantel, bookshelf, nightstand, desk, in a curio cabinet or on a dresser. Would make the perfect accent for a library, office, den, or living room. Antique statue of horse and rider Napoleon? Custer? Price reduced!
This was purchased from an antique shop where we were told it was a statue of Eugene Louis Napoleon depicting him when he was fighting the Zulus. The marble base has a plaque proclaiming that(see photo) However. I think there was a mix up, because this really looks like General Custer! I have seen a similar clock topper which was Buffalo Bill. The interesting part is the crest on the saddle cloth(see photo) It looks more French than American. Well, whoever he is, he looks quite handsome and the base has great appeal! The plaque on the base could easily be removed. It seems to be stuck on. No screws. It could even be replaced with the correct name if we ever found out who the rider is! The rider is gold colored metal, the horse is silver metal. Extremely rare pair of large. Heavy, Bradley and Hubbard antique bookends featuring a thoroughbred horse standing in front of a fence gate. Circa 1920. This set is exquisitely detailed from the horses saddle, bridle, reins, stirrups to the wood grain and latch on the gate. The rear has the classic dimpling from the sandcasting technique used for the cast iron. Nice old sculpture or bookend featuring a horse standing calmly with a halter on. Circa 1930. The horse is mounted on a pale green onyx base. This measures 6" tall. 7 3/4" long, 3" wide and weighs 3 lbs. 4 oz. It is in good original antique condition. The horse has some finish loss and a chip off the tip of one ear. The onyx is in very good condition with minor flaws. This shows nicely. The horse is level and firmly attached to the base with no wobbling.

It looks like brass or bronze with a darkened patina and some green and white corrosion. Figure measures 10 1/2" x 7 7/8" x 3 5/8" and weighs 2 lbs. 11.5 oz. There are some surface marks. Corrosion-like marks on the figure, no breaks in metal. There is something rattling around inside horse when its moved. Horse is screwed to base, both screws show rust, underneath the base. This wonderful statue comes from an estate sale in Mississippi. The family had lived in the house for generations and just recently liquidated all of the treasures collected there. Measuring 10-1/4" tall. 9-1/8" long and 3-3/4" deep, this statue is made of metal that does not hold a magnet. Notice the wonderful detail on the horse, boy and dog. I'm sure this piece is over 100 years old! It appears to have had a rein going through the holes in the horses bridle and the boy's hand. At some time in the past. I purchased this beautiful bronze horse with side saddle last summer in an antique shop in Albuquerque. The owner did not know who the maker was or anything about it. I brought it home and found out more about this piece. It seems to be in excellent condition. I'm in love with this piece but am also engaged with my major summer house projects here in the Pojoaque Valley. New Mexico so I am putting this fabulous piece of artwork on the auction block. The base seems like hollow bronze with a wooden like fine graining on the sides. Smooth top on bottom base. The base is NOT made of wood. It is Bronze as is the entire statue. Description A fabulous late 19th Century bronze study of a striding stallion with excellent hand finished surface detail and rich deep brown lightly rubbed patina. Signed on base. It measures approximately 8-5/8" tall and just shy of 11" long. There are uniform small holes- one on the top of the head. And two near the mouth where reins would normally be placed, one on the back of the tail, and a larger, more crude hole under the tail. Not sure what they are for. It is signed Milo. The process of bringing a bronze sculpture to life using the lost-wax method is something you'll appreciate after taking this tour- Enjoy. Antique Horse Statue Mantle Clock Topper 8” Long x 8” Tall
Here we have an Old Antique Mantle Clock Topper. It features a horse with rider running thru some vines and grass. It measures approx 8 ¼” long by 10” tall and is made of spelter medal. The base measures 8 1/8” by 2 7/8” wide. The weight is a little under 3 pounds. The statue has some worn paint otherwise it is in good shape(not cracked or broke) The rider resembles Buffalo Bill and there are some round holes in his hand indicating he may have been holding a rope or maybe a flag at one time. Gilt Bronze Russian Horse & Sleigh Statue
Listed here for auction is this solid gold gilt bronze Horse Drawn Sleigh with Rider. Cast in pieces and hand tooled finishing to the whole thing. The horse and man are nicely finished with metal chisels to give them good details. No mark or signature that I can find. It weighs about 6 or 7 pounds or so and is 10 inches long not including the whip end. There is a type of glue residue on some of the bottom contact points as though it were glued down to something. It has a factory drilled hole through the floor of the sleigh most likely for attaching this to a marble base or some other base. Like to be all complete and original parts.
