She measures 7 1/2" tall and is in excellent condition- one leaf in her hair is chipped. I took these photos a few months ago. Since then, I touched up the chip with some water-soluable paint I had that matches the leaf, so you can not see the chip now. There is also some wear to the enamel around the inside rim of the sugar. The leaf pattern has beautiful color with teal and rust colors against the porcelain white background. Tea pot stands approx 9" tall x 8" wide from spout to handle edge but tea pot is approx 5" wide. This unique vintage round brass box was used by my late Grandfather to store his cufflinks. I do not know anything about the origin of this piece but it appears hand made and constructed with much skill. The lid fits very nicely albeit with some cosmetic damage to one edge(see pics) The paint is beautiful with rich colors and textures. The weight of this box is 5.6 ounces. Vintage hand painted FRENCH POODLE dog Ransburg toleware waste paper basket can
This is a MUST HAVE vanity. Washroom, bedroom, wherever trash can! It's so chic, it just seems wrong that it's for trash! Made by Ransburg of Indianapolis(as embossed on the bottom of the can) this is a metal/ toleware oval waste paper basket of the sweetest sort! Would fit into so many decors- French apartment, Shabby Chic, cottage, Victorian or anywhere you see fit! When these are found. Which is rare, they are normally in bad condition, this one is in quite nice condition with minor flaking of the paint with surface rust at the VERY bottom seam(see photo 4- lower left) and as shown, the inside is not bad, with a light rim of the same. That's it! Normally, these are either rusted through, or so scratched up, etc. This is missing a few rhinestones, which you could easily replace if desired, but really, not necessary as it is"perfect" ... moreas is, to me at least! The body of the can is an off- white- the umbrella is silver with a nice shine to it, that I couldn't capture properly without"bleaching out" the rest of the photo. Raised HAND paint on the flowers and the dogs fur. French writing in the background, in gold. The poodle is taking a walk along the small shops of Paris while holding a parasol besotted with pink flowers, rhinestones and is oh so CHIC! I know that there are matching Ransburg tissue boxes as well out there, there may be other accessories that I'm not aware of! But this is the best, just SO FRENCH! yet, made in the USA) from the 1940's and in very good to excellent condition with NO dents either! 13 1/2" tall- oval shape is 11" x 8" should you need more photos. This lovely Hod has a beautiful hand painted Mint Green Porcelain/Enamel Scene painted on the top features lovely Bird and Flower details in an array of rich colors. This is quite the piece I would date the Coal Hod right around the turn of the century you can see the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Influence in the hand painted scene. For auction. From a Tennessee estate, is a Pair of Gilded Metal and Hand-painted Glass Ewers. The Ewers are gilt metal mounted and appear to be Hand-painted. The Ewers have a Gilded Scroll. Floral design and a Flaring spout. The Ewers are Turquoise, Yellow, Green, Burgandy, and Pink in color. The varnish appears to have turned dark on top of the yellow paint. It is trimmed with green which has some chips in the paint. This is a very nice and unique tray. WOW! Antique ART NOUVEAU Gothic HAND PAINTED BRASS Bronze TULIP CANDLESTICKS Vtg
For sale is a nice old antique pair of hand painted brass. And maybe bronze, Art Nouveau Candlesticks. Nice detail and patina to these pieces from the pawed feet, the hand hammered metal stems, to the Art Nouveau style in which these pieces appear like tulips or flowers. Base appears to be cast brass when looking underneath, and was welded to the stem. Old paint has aged perfectly overtime giving these pieces a timely character. I'm not sure if they were meant for a church alter, but they would look great with one. Also would look great anywhere you want to put them! I believe these pieces are 19th Century. As the home I bought these from is full of 1800's to early 1900's pieces. Overall these pieces are in great shape with very little wear. Sorry for the outdoor photos, these candlesticks did not picture well in my lighted box ... morefor some reason. Please ask questions before buying and thanks for looking!
