The statue is of an Art Nouveau stylized woman in a long flowing gown with partially exposed breasts. The woman has flowers in her hair and is admriing a butterfly which is down on her side. A very beautiful antique Gilt Bronze Jewelry Box. The box is decorated with a hand painted Limoges Enamel Plaque depicting a beautiful woman. The portrait is depicts Jean-Jacques Henner's image of Saint Fabiola. The original painting was painted in 1885. The plaque is signed"TR" HR" or something similar. The plaque is surrounded with tiny seed pearls and the interior has the original velvet lining. Overall dimensions are 4" x 2 3/4" x 1 5/8" high. The Jewelry Box is in very good overall condition with no damage to the Enamel Plaque. The only thing to note are losses to the seed pearl border which you can see in the images. Antique E Jullien/Paris (1880-1900) French Gilt Bronze Tray/Dish/Valet
This is a beautiful antique french gilt bronze that was made by the E Jullien Foundry in Paris between the years of 1880 and 1900. The foundry was only active then. There is a mark engraved on the bottom that says"E Jullien/Paris/12 Rue Pasquier. I have already mentioned the flaws- the gilt is missing from most of the woman's body. There are some nicks and scratches, but it is still very beautiful. I find especially charming the fact that the woman's hair goes down the side of the dish, and you can also see her arm resting there from the side. I am selling this for a friend(this belonged to her aunt) And neither of us know anything about antiques, but I did look up the foundry and found some very good prices for the objects made there. It is approx imately 5 1/2" long by 3 1/4" wide. And weighs 15 ounces. I haven't ... moretried to clean it. DESCRIPTION: I am pleased to offer for your consideration this superb antique circa 1900s French Bronze Gilt over solid brass jewel casket keepsake trinket box. This box is ornately decorated in high relief on all four sides and the cover with fabulous Naked Children. Cherubs or Putti in different poses. Please view and enlarge photos as the casting in this box is truly magnificent. This is a fairly large and very heavy jewel casket. The box measures 7" in length by 3" wide and stands 2 3/4" in height. It has a working lock on the front and is complete with working original key. The candelabrum measure 32 inches or 81 cm high. And are 16 inches or 40.5 cm at their widest. The candelabrum features a footed and stepped base which supports the tall flower stem. The stem has a series of arms which support the 6 flower form candle cups. And one at the top. Also decorating the stems are gilt bronze and white opaline glass flowers. BARBEDIENNE PARIS French ART NOUVEAU Gilt Bronze Urn
Offered is a fine gilt bronze Art Nouveau urn by the Barbedienne Foundry in Paris. It is an art nouveau interpretation of a classical form. With finely modeled, pierced loop handles that continue down the sides ending in raised anthemion motifs. Realistic, high bas relief sculptures of blackberries adorn the front and back of the body. It is signed just under the rim, finely hand engraved, F. Barbedienne Paris. You can see from the photos how it retains most of its original doré bronze finish. It will clean up beautifully, I have not even washed it, but I am leaving it in estate found condition as everyone likes their own level of cleaning on gilt items like this. At some time this took a header and dented the rim on one side, and probably at the same time knocked off part of one of the berries. Exceptional Ormolu Gilt Bronze French Empire Dolphin Hoof Figural Candelabra
This beautiful Empire Bronze Candelabra measures about 14.75" tall. The one candle holder on the outside seems a bit roughed up and mounted differently. It can be seen in the pics. The sticks really are absolutely exceptional. Figural elements from top to bottom from the hoof feet to the faces to the acanthus leaf branches. A fantastic piece of bronze work. The wood mounts that are holding the base together seem as if they are about to give up as can be seen in the pics. Not bad for 200 year old wood.

And are of exceptional quality. The figural women are made of bronze. And are mounted on marble column stands. Each woman is holding a gilt bronze curved horn shaped holder. ITEM MEASUREMENTS Lady figures measure about 17 1/4" high. 3" wide and 3 1/2" deep, stone base 6" high by 4 1/2" wide. There are small holes in the sides. some with small round headed screws) but I don't know what they were for. Above is a modern little nail I used to hold the horn in place for photos. This listing is for an antique. Circa 1860s French bronze of the Greek god Zeus holding his son Dionysus also called Bacchus. The bronze sits on a two color marble base which in turn sits on a carved wood base. The whole measures just over 17 inches high at 43 cm. The bronze itself measures just under 13 inches tall at 32 cm. The bronze depicts a very handsome Zeus dressed in his lion headed wrap holding his naked equally handsome young son in his arms. The detail on this bronze is exceptional and so is the finish. The finish is in it's original ormolu gilt gold. This finish is bright and all original. This ormolu gold finish was made by mixing pure gold into liquid mercury. This mixture was applied to the bronze and heated evaporating the mercury and leaving the gold adhered to the surface of the bronze) The bronze sits on a red and ... moreblack stepped base. Up for auction is a beautiful antique 19th century French bronze ormolu cherub mounted to a marble base. This would have probably gone onto a lamp base or casket box. There are two exposed screws on the bottom of the marble. Very fine. Exquisite detail, down to the individual feathers and floral headband. Winged cupid is playing an aulos. In very good condition with one half of the double pipe is missing, looks like a stress fracture to the wing which does not appear to go all the way around, repair to the marble on the back side. Antique French Empire Gilt Bronze Neoclassical Statues Greek Muse of History& Writing ~ Clio ~ ~* ~ Scarce and very hard-to-find pair of gilt bronze statues mounted on exquisite granite marble bases with bronze bead trim and original four gilt bronze bun feet on the bottom of each ~ from France in the 2nd quarter of the 19th Century(1825- 1850) and from the personal family collection. So these have not seen the market in a very long time ~ Fantastic and very detailed casting work on both figures and are cast in separate pieces. For example her downward arm holding the wreath and his front advancing leg are separate pieces, as are the torso upper and lower garment portion. ~* ~ Special Notes: Further research indicates that this is the French 19th Century sculptor's clever gender ~ bending play on the Greek Muse Clio, the Muse of History ... moreand Writing. And that this represents the Male and Female Aspects of History. The symbols for Clio are the Wreath of Victory and the Scroll ~ look at the items these two bronzes are holding. the French sculptor also"modernized" them and made them relatable by keeping the Old World symbols of Wreath and Scroll. But gave them"modern" bound books that they are looking at. Of course, the Ancient Greeks only knew scrolls and tablets, not the modern bound book that the French of the Empire period were making History in and of. The number 9 is most closely associated with the Muses. As there were 9 of them, and the female bronze of this pair bears 9 flowers in her hair. ~* ~ The Condition of each is Wonderful and Excellent ~ no problems with the bronzes save for some very minor spots of aging to the gilt gold finish ~ Each statue has a small corner nibble on the back of the marble base. Not major and you really can't see them because they're in the back and the just disappear(see photos 7& 8) ~ a few of the nuts on the bottom seem to have been replaced a long time ago. Perhaps the old ones wore out.but both figures are solid and tight on the bases
