I have up for auction a very nice Roycroft arts& crafts hammered copper tray with handles. This tray does have some discoloration on the back. But it does not detract from the tray itself. There are no breaks in the joints of the handles, this is a beautiful tray. The tray measures 11 1/4 across with the handles, or 10 3/4 without the handles. Good luck and thanks for looking. Fantastic Arts & Crafts Hammered Copper Tray!
Up for auction is a great hammered copper tray from the Arts& Crafts era! Unfortunately it is not marked. But it is still a fantastic display piece for your bungalow! It is all one solid piece! I had some antique leather gloves displayed on this for years and they left that weird black spotting. A lot of it came off with a light wash, but I didn't try anything else to remove the rest. I'm not familiar with what to try and I didn't want to ruin the beautiful patina that this has. It is not as shiny as the pictures would suggest, but was photographed directly under a light. Huge Antique Copper Egyptian Motif Tray with Silver Overlay/ Inlay(TESTED) 31 1/2" in diameter.3/4" high. Weight: 24 POUNDS! There are seven scenes framed in silver overlay/inlay depicting artwork from the tomb of King Tutankhamen. Including profiles of Nefertiti, King TUT and his wife. All of the images are outlined and highlighted with 1/16" to 3/16" overlayed/inlayed silver wire. In all the photographs. Everything that appears as white is actually the silver inlay/overlay.There are other areas that the silver inlay has been chemically oxidized to create a contrasting black shiny patina. Some of those areas are the pyramid at the bottom of the tray,the hair of the sphinx, the chair and clothing of the two figures in the center circle, headress and jewelry of the figure in the left circle, the headress of King Tut in ... morethe right circle and various areas in the portrait of Nefertiti in the top circle. The repeating motif of spreading wings on the outer rim are all overlayed/inlayed with silver as well as all the other figures and every other design element on the tray. The dark background of the copper tray has also been chemically treated(darkened) to allow the artwork to stand out.The color appears black in some of the photos. But is actually a dark bronze hue.Only the skin areas of the figures are the natural copper color. The back of the tray has two copper loops that are welded on. When one melts silver one can lose as much as 5% of the weight in the smelting process and I can not be held responsible for weight lost after melting. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. Antique Manning Bowman Co. Samovar.This set was given to my dad years ago. This comes with 6 copper demitasse cups and also the copper tray. The samovar measures approx. 15" in height. Has the lid which is topped with glass and also the inside stem and basket. Parts of the spout and handles are brass. Each cup is copper with a handle and have porcelain Buffalo China inserts. Each cup with insert measures 2 1/2" One cup has hairline and one fleck on another. The serving tray is copper and measures 18" x 13" Patent dates on the bottom of the samovar are 1910, 1923,1935. This is an electric samovar. But. does not heat up. I do not know what is wrong with it, and do not know how to fix it, so that is up to buyer. There is a removable piece on the underside that houses a fuse and heating unit, so I assume that is what needs ... morerepair. The electric cord is unique for this piece and in good shape, and of course included. I have cleaned this the best I could, but it does need more polishing and reviving. Antique copper clad figural bookend incense bowl coin jewelry tray art statue
Rare and unusual figure of a seated man. Dressed in robe and turban, holding a large bowl. Not sure what he represents, as the bowl seems awfully large for a beggar. Also not sure what this was meant to be: a bookend? a paperweight? a decorative art object? The size of the bowl suggests it may have been designed to hold something. But its inner surface is unmarked, not even rough to the touch, so I don't think it ever was used as an ashtray or incense burner. But possibly it was shined up so well that all traces of such cigarette or incense use were eradicated. But I do know that it is copper-clad(electro-formed) As evidenced by the"wick" indentation on the bottom. No maker's mark, probably Galvano Bronze, early 1920s. Condition is very good. No actual breaks in the cladding. But there is a dent in the front edge of the ... morebowl, a few wrinkles on his neck, and gentle mashing of a few corners. And clearly the piece has been cleaned with a copper cleaner- no way the finish would still look like this after almost a century. Stunning Antique Brass/Copper Victorian Tray with Pewter Accents & Handles B&F
An absolutely stunning tray marked LB silver plate although we are not sure the silver plate is still there. Nevertheless it is amazing and in great condition for its age and very unique. It is quite heavy weighing 6 lbs. I believe the tray was made in England. I have found a couple of maker marks for LB that specialized in silver plating. I have only found 4-5 tray even close to this one. It is a must have for someone who loves outstanding metalware. It is intricately etched through the face of the tray. The handles and design have all been welded to the piece. There is no hardware at all. It measures 17" x 13" and 21" from handle to handle. It is marked on the back Silver Plate and LB. Good luck bidding, you will not find another one like this. I am assuming early 20th century.

This is a very cool little tray with lots of little details. Please use all photos as large part of description and measurement. I could not find another one like this on ebay, definetely not with this much detail, copper and sheffield. Even where the handle meets the tray there is a small design hammered out! Silver plate on copper 17x13" oval tray w/raised bunches of grapes decor 1800's
A large and heavy tray with bunches of grapes all around the edge and handles and with ornate design in the surface. It is a 17 by 13 inch oval and is 21 inches including the handles. I think is is silver plated on copper. I can see copper exposed in the design on one part of the tray. I did not clean or polish it so you have the old silver tarnish to clean or leave as is. There is no maker's name or other info on it. I keep thinking of as it used to serve glasses of wine on it. I guess it to be from the later 1800's. It is heavy at 3-1/2 lbs.
