Vintage Art Deco Hotpoint Space Heater Jadeite Green Copper Steampunk GE Edison
Vintage Art Deco era Hotpoint space heater by General Electric. It measures 18" tall. The cage is 14" across. The plug is a little crusty. But the cord is good and it does work. I only kept it on for 15-20 seconds and I could hear and feel that it was working. The center has a ceramic or enamel flower which has a few chips. The back side has an art deco lightning bolt design. There is general wear to the paint. The copper as well shows surface discoloration from use. There are 10 photos. This is beautiful pair of 1940's Chase Brass and Copper Co. Art Deco, Brookfield" brass candlesticks. They stand 6 3/4" tall, 2 1/8" across the top and a 3 3/8" base and they are weighted. Marked, Chase USA on the bottom. They do have old patina, and could be polished and buffed to there original sheen if so desired. There is a small flat dent on the edge or side of the base of one candlestick, I have tried to show this in pic 3 to the left where it is not quite round, Not bad or distracting, but mentioned for accuracy. Karl Raichle hammered copper kettle. Bauhaus. Meersburg. Moholy-Nagy Art Deco
Hand hammered copper kettle with brass strap handle by Karl Raichle of Meersburg. Raichle had an eccletic education. And trained for a time with Moholy-Nagy at the Bauhaus when it was located as Dessau. Raichle was active in the 1930s, and he worked primarily in pewter. His workshop was a small one, and he and his wife did most of the work. During the war, when pewter became unobtqainable, he turned to copper. He continued using copper after the war because it enjoyed a much better market than did pewter pieces. Raichle's pieces do come up for auction from time to time. But this is the only kettle I've come across. The kettle is in excellent condtion. It probably dates to the late 1940s. I found two shallow dings on the surface of the vessel. But only by rubbing my finger across the surface. Otherwise, they are not visible to the ... moreeye. The strap handle could stand a bit of tightening. It is securely mounted, however. The weld where the spout is joined to the body suggests that there may have been some resoldering later in its life, possibly to patch a leak. The interior is tin lined. The vessel is quite heavy for its size weighing about Two& One-Half[ 2.50] pounds. The kettle is Eight& One-Third[ 8.33] inches hight with the handle up. Or 21.00 Cms. With the handle down. It measures Six& One-Half[ 6.50] inches. Or, 16.50 Cms. From the tip of the spout to the back side of the handle measures Nine[ 9.00] inches. Or, 16.50 Cms. The circumference of the body at its widest point is Twenty[ 20.00] inches. Or 51.00 Cms. When packed the kettle can be sent by First Class Mail International. For buyers outside the United States. This bowl is from Louise Arnaud Limoges as it has all the attributes of others from that company. This large three-sided bowl is over 8" across and 1.5" deep. Antique Yugoslavian Repousse Copper Art. Traditional Woman & Folk Dancers.
These two copper repousse pieces are from Yugoslavia and are from the mid-20th century. They came from the estate of American historian. And Antioch College professor, Irwin Abrams(1914-2010) who traveled extensively. Abrams, a Quaker and World War Two conscientious objector, was known as perhaps the foremost authority on the Nobel Peace Prize. Including the frames, the folk dancers measures about 16" by 11" and the woman measures about 10" by 6" The writing below the folk dancers is"Narodne Igre Jugoslavia. The burlap fabric backing is worn and discolored. The frame of the traditional woman is loose. Still, they are fine pieces and remind me of a traditional, almost medieval, way of European life.

old Arts & Crafts Table Lamp copper & brass art deco design- recently rewired
original old arts& crafts table lamp in brass and copper art deco design. the lamp is 28 1/2 inches tall. The base is 6 1/2 inches square. it has recently been rewired so it is safe to use. there are 2 sockets for light bulbs with pull chains. no shade is included, there is a square hole at the top(see photo 4) for many years I used an old large screw to attach a lampshade onto the lamp. there is the original old felt on the bottom, I didn't want to completely remove the felt so I don't know if there's a makers mark on the bottom. when I first bought this from a dealer 35 years ago, I thought it might be Heintz but that's just a guess. there's a bit of white brass polish residue in the grooves, it could be polished further. quite heavy so it can't be knocked over easily. great looking design and a rare lamp.

Guaranteed to be original and as described- RARE antique old early 1900's hand hammered hand wrought Southern American figural folk art copper moonshine pitcher/jug with a pig( or Hog) head. The antique pig pitcher was most certainly used for liquor.Moonshine or alcohol due to the small pouring hole for controlled serving. The pitcher was dovetailed down the backside and has wonderful hammering marks throughout. This is a rare piece of American history that was originally purchased out of a Alabama barn estate sale about five years ago. The family's history went back to the civil war, the pitcher itself is from the early part of the 20th century( perhaps even earlier, I am being conservative in saying early 1900's) The base was dovetailed in as well and there is lead in the base to give it a steady weight. DODGE TROJAN HORSE HEAD BOOKEND COPPER COLOR ART DECO 1930 1940 OSCAR MAKER
I found this at a thrift store. It is about 7 1/4" tall and weighs over 2 1/4 lb. It doesn't have the original tag that says Ford but if you look at others in listings that do. It is the same. It is cast metal with dark and light copper color. It is from the the 1930's or 40's going by other listings of these. I don't see any real damage but I think it is discolored from it's original color in places. I didn't try and clean it. Dodge is know for making the Oscars and Emmys.

Antique copper clad figural bookend incense bowl coin jewelry tray art statue
Rare and unusual figure of a seated man. Dressed in robe and turban, holding a large bowl. Not sure what he represents, as the bowl seems awfully large for a beggar. Also not sure what this was meant to be: a bookend? a paperweight? a decorative art object? The size of the bowl suggests it may have been designed to hold something. But its inner surface is unmarked, not even rough to the touch, so I don't think it ever was used as an ashtray or incense burner. But possibly it was shined up so well that all traces of such cigarette or incense use were eradicated. But I do know that it is copper-clad(electro-formed) As evidenced by the"wick" indentation on the bottom. No maker's mark, probably Galvano Bronze, early 1920s. Condition is very good. No actual breaks in the cladding. But there is a dent in the front edge of the ... morebowl, a few wrinkles on his neck, and gentle mashing of a few corners. And clearly the piece has been cleaned with a copper cleaner- no way the finish would still look like this after almost a century. Offered for Auction: 3 Piece Copper Tea Set In the Art Deco Style with a nod to Arts& Crafts workmanship. The coffee pot is stamped with the maker's mark on the bottom. However it's illegible(it looks like two deer in front of a hearth but I cannot tell if I'm just seeing things) The coffee pot has an offset wooden handle and a diamond shaped spout on a tapered fluted body and a wooden finial on the lid. The covered sugar has the same tapered fluted body with a brass finial on the lid and the creamer is fluted and has an applied handle. The lids fit snugly. The interiors of each piece are tinned, however the finish has worn so these are being sold for decorative purposes only(copper toxicity is a concern in un-coated copper holloware) The seams are so precise that it's difficult to know if the set was hand crafted or manufactured ... morein a factory. Condition: Fair given their age and use. The wooden handle on the coffee pot is loose as the wood has shrunk over the years and holes have enlarged one brad is missing and as small brass screw has been substituted. There are small dents and dings and surface scratches and discoloration on all three pieces. The tinned interiors are worn and the copper is exposed and there are few dark spots in the coffee pot. There are finger prints on the surface. The coffee pot measures overall 7 5/8" H x 4 3/4" W(with spout) x about 6 1/2" with the handle. The opening is 2 3/16" in diameter and the bottom is 4 1/4" in diameter. The covered sugar is overall 2 7/8" H x 3 3/8" in diameter at the bottom and the opening is 2 1/4" in diameter. Antique Copper Woman Flapper Head Art Deco String Holder Dispenser
Metal ladies head string holder dispenser. Looks like Copper. Measures 7 inches tall. Pat. App is the only marking. I removed the 3 screws on the bottom and the inside mechanism is a metal wire with a ceramic piece that holds the string through the mouth. Interesting piece of Art Deco era metal work. I acquired this at my store with some other estate pieces. Very Unusual. Please look at the photos and ask questions if you have any. I have not cleaned it up it is in the same condition as I bought it.
