This is a stunningly rare antique late 18th century solid bronze detailed cherub figural French sculpture. The figure is made from solid bronze. Has nice weight to it, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. it is done with an abundance of intricate lifelike detailing and is a wonderful depiction of a young male cherub. he is depicted standing nude holding onto a branch wrapped in flowers. they are mounted to a circular base which also has nice detailing. it is in nice condition measuring 5 1/4 inches tall by 1 3/4 inches wide. very rare bronze.
