Up for consideration is this Beautiful Antique Hand Hammered Brass Pitcher by Ezio Casagrande son of Egidio Casagrande of Borgo Valsugana. Italy. Ezio Casagrande was the son of Egidio Casagrande born in Borgo. Italy. He and his father worked specializing in manufacture of iron, brass and copper objects. After the war the father became known throughout Europe, participating in many festivals and exhibitions. The father became known in the U.S. market. His work was used in the movies Ben Hur(1959, The Fall of the Roman Empire(1964) and The Ten Commandments(1956) He passed away in 1962 at the age of 51. After his fathers death Ezio also continued the art. We can honestly say with first hand knowledge based on the work we have seen. It is our personal opinion that the sons' work is much more polished than his father. We have seen how he expanded on his father's concepts and went on to a much higher level of quality than that produced by his father. It is in excellent condition and is in it's original condition with the beautiful patina of the brass. It measures approximately 9.3 inches spout to edge of handle. 7 inches in diameter at pot belly, 4 inches in diameter at the base and 8.2 inches tall. Antique Ewer Decorative Pitcher Urn Brass Enamel Ormulo with Cherub
Welcome to my auction. I am not an expert. I found this at an estate sale and am drawing my information from research. This wonderful piece measures approximately 15 1/8" at it's tallest point 6 3/4" at the widest tip to tip of the base 6 1/8" from the handle to the spout and about 5 1/8" at the center. I believe this is an antique ewer from the mid to late 1800's. It has beautiful ormolu decoration with a cherub on the face of the spout and acanthus leaves on the base. Amid the rest of the scroll and floral detail. I believe it to be brass or perhaps a combination of brass and other metals. And it weighs a heavy 3 1/2 pounds.

Old Rare Asian Dragon Brass Inlay Pitcher - Origin Sino-Tibet or Mongolian?
OLD RARE ASIAN DRAGON BRASS. COPPER OR BRONZE PITCHER WITH DRAGON AND STONE INLAY I have reached out to experts for an opinion as to the origins of this piece and have received conflicting opinions. This piece could be Sino-Tibetan or Mongolian and is about 100 years old or the piece is from the Meiji Period and probably Japanese made in the early 1900's. I have researched Tibetan further and see more evidence that this pitcher probably has its origins in Tibet. The Pitcher has Brass Inlaid Dragons along with Stones attached as Decoration to the Piece There appears to be multiple metals used for this Piece and I am not certain if the body is Copper. pitcher copper antique matching pair graduating 1800s 19th century brass wood
For auction is a pair of matching copper pitchers. One being slightly larger than the other. The pitchers appear to be handmade of copper and tin lined. I think they have rolled seams, but I’m not sure about that. The handles are riveted onto the sides of the pitchers. The wood on the handles and single lid is very dry and needs to be oiled. The handle of the shorter pitcher is slightly loose. They both hold water. I think they both have what’s called a large flanged lip. The pitchers are slightly flared and tapered from bottom to top. In nice condition generally, they have minor dings, dents and scratches from normal use. The tall pitcher shows some discoloration near the top edge and near the neck especially. I think that the handles are of brass and wood, but I don’t know the type of wood. I don’t know if these could be considered flagons ... moreor not. I’ve seen listings for similar looking pitchers claim that the items are from the 1800’s, but I’m very unsure if that is true in this case. The pitchers have a sort of a warm patina. It seems they would have more of a patina, or at least a darker patina being that old, but perhaps they were polished sometime in the past 100 years or so. I don’t see any markings on these. The taller pitcher measures about 4 ¾ inches at the tallest point and is just under 3 1/4 inches diameter at the bottom. The shorter pitcher stands about 4 inches tall at the tallest point and is also about 3 ¼ inches diameter at the bottom. The lid can fit either pitcher. Together, both pitchers and lid weigh 7.2 ounces alone with no packaging. As I understand it, copper pitchers of this form were often found in American kitchens in the 19 th century and were available in sets of graduating sizes. They were usually tin-lined. As these pieces are, so that they could be used for consumable liquids. They are very decorative and are often assembled by collectors to complete a set in different sizes. Here is an interesting decorative Eastern piece. This vessel stands 12" tall and 7" in diameter at the widest point. It solid brass and weighs 2 lbs 9.5 oz. It is in very good overall condition. The lid does not snug down tightly as seen in the pics. It does not bear a maker's touch-mark that I can find. I am told this is of Eastern Indian origin. It has a beautifully detailed etched Peacock Feather type design all over.

Purchased at a estate sale, A elderly man's father brought it over to the United States, From France, Germany? each piece of wood is individually cut and pieced together and held by brass bands. Which one is missing, there is some speck of paint on it, mostly on the top, It has a flip top lid, and all Hand made. Beautiful patina, and would made a wonderful addition to your collection.
