It has A LOT OF DENTS. AGED PATINA and discolored areas around old solder seams, enough to call it rough. Please look at photos to be sure to see dents and discoloration. I believe it adds to the magic of it's history and the many kitchens it has traveled to. I can only imagine the stories that were told as the pot was continually filled. The kettle definitely shows it has been used a lot but it would make a great decor piece for that primitive decor. To find such love in a teapot of this age is rare. I love it but the new owner may wish to clean the bottom, as the photos show I have not cleaned it as each owner has their own style and wishes as to products they prefer. The kettle measures 10 1/2 inches wide and 15 inches wide if you include the spout. The kettle measures 11 inches from the base to the top of the lid and 14 inches to the top of the handle. The wooden handle measures 4 1/2 inches and the metal of the handle looks forged. The handle measures 9 inches wide. The spout is 6 1/2 inches long and is goose neck style. The lid measures 5 inches across. At the base of the handle there are the letters"GS" I do not know what this stands for? Any info on this would be appreciated. Early 19th c. antique handmade copper tea caddy
Early antique handmade copper tea caddy I happen to love old copper and brass pieces that have that feel of satin from having been polished over and over and over. This sweet little tea caddy is possibly very old. It measures 5-1/4” tall 4-1/2” wide and 3-1/2” deep. It has some marks on the bottom– the number 12 in the middle and near the edge. The number 3 with the initials JM under the 3. There are also letters scratched into the bottom but they may have been added later. Possibly even scratched by a child. Hard to tell. Condition: Although this has quite a few dents to the surface including bends to the bottom rim and the edges around the top. It still looks good. But be aware that there are lots of dents and dings to this piece. The bottom is copper and seems to have been welded on at some point as there is a weld line all the way around the bottom. Antique Chinese Tea Kettle Pot Brass On Copper Scenic Old China Motif Bat Bamboo
Antique Chinese Brass Kettle Teapot 8 1/2" wide/ 11" From Spout/ 7" Deep/ 11" to Top of Handle Wonderful old brass tea kettle decorated with people in oriental garden setting with bamboo. Clouds, bats and lotus flowers etched, engraved, pounded and hammered with nice texture and beautiful detail. This has a dovetailed cover with notched turn and lock style lid, there is an applied Bat with 4" wide wing span surrounding the spout and it is marked with writing that says Made in China in fancy old style wide lettering. There are thick calcium deposits and build up inside, the bottom is a little warped at the base so it wobbles slightly, the black swag handle may have repairs and is attached with rivets. This was an estate sale purchase in the early 1970's from an antique dealer that passed away years ago, it has ... morenot been polished for at least 10 years and does show the age with light oxidation and natural patina. There are minor dents and dings around the lower section and base is pushed in a little on side under spout, maybe from tipping when full and some copper is showing through on base. Cute Copper Tea/Water Kettle--Antique?
I don't know much about this little Tea/Water Kettle other than it looks old and is made of Copper or Copper plated with a Silver color metal on the inside of the pot. There are no markings anywhere to give me a clue. I had thought that the blue and white design handle and lid knob were porcelain at first but now I am thinking maybe bakelite or perhaps something else? It's very cute sits approx 6.5 inches tall including the lid knob and with the handle up about 9" Fat part of it's body measures approx 22" around. Please look at my other items!

Antique Islamic Signed Copper Tea Kettle w/ Applied Medallions
Up for sale is a beautiful antique Islamic copper tea kettle or teapot from Persia or the Ottoman Empire. At least 100 years old- has patina that takes years to form. Made of fairly heavy copper with applied copper decorations on both the kettle and lid. Measures 12" to the top of the fixed handle and 12" to the tip of the spout. Signed on the bottom in Arabic script. Guaranteed old and authentic. An unusual piece with the applied copper medallions. In very good condition- there are a few tiny green specks on one side. The light purple spots on photos 1& 6 are glare from the flash and not on the piece. Kettle is water-tight and usable. A great old piece.

Original, as-found condition. Shows great color and patina to the exterior surface, with the tell tale signs of this piece once being used in 19th Century America. Has very light dings and dents in the exterior surface from use and storage all these years. Very heavy piece at about 3-1/2 pounds in weight. Comes with the original top cover, but it is missing the original wood handle/ finial. Inside of the pot also shows light tarnish, but nothing too bad. The burner stand is copper lined over a weighted iron base. Shows tarnish and rust on the bottom. Comes with the original cover for the burner and appears to be complete. It comes untested. Antique Dovetailed Gooseneck Copper & Brass Tea Kettle Pot Early English (?)
Nice large oval copper and brass tea kettle. This is an area that I honestly do not know much about. But I try to describe all items as accurately as possible. The kettle stands about 11 inches tall, and is almost 12 inches from spout to back. The outside portion is copper, with a brass handle and a brass ring around lid portion. The inner portion seems to be copper, but may be tin lined. Lid is copper with a brass knob, and the inner portion of the lid is tin lined. This kettle looks exactly like a lot of the early English kettles that are circa 1700-1800's, although I surely wouldn't attempt to date it. I do know dovetailing is an art, and this kettle has true dovetailing around spout, on the bottom, and a vertical seam on the back portion. There does seem to be a makers mark on the handle closest to the spout(see pic) that looks ... morelike a whimsical T. There are no holes and it holds water. This kettle does have some dings that show it's age and character, but no major damage. I have not attempted to clean this item myself, and chose to let patina show. I am confident that someone has attempted to clean it at some point before I received it. As I stated earlier- this is an area I do not know much about so Please refer to all photos before bidding! Antique Lg. Copper Tea Kettle that holds a full gallon. It is 10 1/2" tall and from spout to back it is approx. 12 3/4" long. I listed it as between 1850 and 1899 but it's very possible it is pre 1850. The style indicates it is English Colonial or Country with no markings. Dove tailed construction. Great patina. It is oval with a gooseneck or serpent style spout. The tin lineing is very clean for this age.last photo) The 2 worse dents are on the top and I made no attempt to get inside and tap them out a little. The patent date on the brass plaque on the front is 1882. It is complete with the tinned inserts, which look like they are for tea, vast amounts of tea. It is lined with porcelain. The glass level indicators are both intact. It is extremely well made, more like a piece of engineering than kitchen ware, look at the quality of the brass fixtures in the close up pictures. I am happy to do local pickup on this piece because of the size and weight. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. SIZE: It is huge. Incredible. Antique copper tea kettle. It is hand forged with handmade rivets. This would make a great display piece. Shows wear, there is a small hole on the bottom from use(see picture#11) and deposits on the inside from hard water. This kettle was definitely used and is definitely old. There is a mark on the bottom, but it is pretty well worn off(see picture#12) I am guessing the piece is from the early 1900's. Antique Swedish Copper Tea Pot Kettle with Side Handle Very Rare MINT Tin Lined
This is a beautiful old hand forged Swedish hammered copper kettle. It stands on 3 iron legs with an iron handle and has a gooseneck spout. The top has a curled ribbon finial. Representative of the King's crown, and typical of all Swedish copper kettles. This kettle was purchased in Sweden in the 1950's and never used. It is like new, tin lined, hammered copper detail, 100% hand forged. It is a beautiful and rare piece, one we hate to part with. Has original sticker on the bottom, says, Svensk Kvalitetsprodukt" which just means that it is a Swedish quality product. ANTIQUE COPPER FLIP COFFEE/TEA POT with' L C' and fouled anchor marking. The anchor is said to represent the French Naval Medical service but similar mark appears on many items for the domestic market. From my inquiries. It is from late 1800's to early 1900. It is in very good condition. I have not cleaned nor tried to alter its appearance. As you can see the patina is shown. All the parts are there and does not seem to have ever been used. This is all of the information I have on this pot. I acquired this. And have enjoyed it in my home, but it's now time for downsizing and someone else to enjoy. Antique Vtg Copper Tea Kettle Kettle #222 Hand Hammered Copperware 1 Galllon
This is for a beautiful large copper tea kettle or water kettle that is in very nice original condition. This is hand hammered and has no dents or dings and doesn't leak. 222 is stamped into the bottom. I do not know the maker. This has some dried water in the bottom. I have not cleaned this. This measures 12" from one end to the tip of the spout. It is 11" to the top of the handle and the pot itself is 8" across without the spout. This is just very nice. I just put 1 gallon of water in this and this filled it up about 2" below the top. This is quite heavy, it weighs about 5 pounds and will be packed well for shipping.
