The weight of this majestic statue is 10 lbs. This antique elephant features a highly decorated saddle cloth and ivory-colored tusks. The body and head show amazing detail and accuracy. A statue of an elephant with a raised trunk is a symbol of good luck in some cultures. The paint is original and has aged very nicely. The only major flaw that I can see is that the elephant’s right tusk may have broken off and was reattached using metal welding methods. It appears to be solidly attached. Some of the original finish is missing at the base of the tusk were it was reattached. There is also a paint chip on the tip of the trunk that appears to have been retouched with black ... morepaint. This piece is in very good condition and From nose to Tail it is 13& 1/4 in long. The height is close to 6 in The width of the base is over 2& 1/2 in. and the weight of this piece is over 5 lbs. My Grandmother had this piece sitting in a display cabinet for years and we do know it was purchased in the 1940's other then that I do not know much more about this Nut Cracker.

Unusual Antique Tin Box Late1800s Navy Blue Black & Gold Lion Crest Coat of Arms
Unusual Antique Tin. Navy Blue with Gold Scrolls and Crests This unusual antique tin has a wonderfully curved base. Hinged lid, and is decorated with metallic gold scroll motifs and crests. At first look, the background appears to be black, but I believe it is a dark navy blue that has aged to a darker appearance. The tin looks to date to the late 1800s. There is no branding information, however, I’ve seen several Gray Dunn tins dating to 1892 to 1895 with this same shape. The coat of arms on the lid looks somewhat Scottish, and the coat of arms on the front side is the Royal Arms of England. On the back is Ireland’s coat of arms. On the Ireland coat of arms it says“Registered No. 30?899. The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear. Some scratches and scuffs, handling marks, some soiling, some small dents and dings, etc. ... moreCrest on the front side is rather scratched up. Some pink stains on the crest on the lid. A more noticeable dent on the back side near the crest. One side is detaching at the top– see photo. Some early rust starting here and there. Including a few spots inside. Some larger worn areas on bottom, and some sticker residue here. Hinges are well attached and move freely, and tin opens and closes fine with slight coaxing. The inside of the tin(including lid) smells a bit like canola oil and is a little tacky to the touch. Perhaps someone attempted to clean the interior with some sort of similar oil. Again. Condition issues of note: Crest on front is rather scratched up. Some pink stains on lid. A more noticeable dent on back side. ONE SIDE IS DETACHING AT THE TOP– SEE PHOTO· Inside of tin smells a bit like canola oil and the inside areas are a little tacky to the touch. Antique Small Covered Urn w/ 3 Bronze Dragons on Black Stand & Cherub Lid, Great
This is an absolutely fabulous older piece which dates back the the early turn of the century; early 1900's. The small urn portion by itself is a heavy black metal. The stand is a black metal as well. The piece is very well made. The ornaments, dragons and cherub, are bronze. The urn is in excellent condition, with no flaws whatsoever. Adorning the bowl of the urn are 3 winged dragons with clawed feet, which have a great attention to detail. The lid is beautifully made with a cherub standing on top, the angel is holding and playing a small harp or mandolin. None of these metal adornments are attracted by a magnet. The urn weighs about 4 pounds and stands just under 10 in with the lid on. The lid itself is just over 4 and a 1/2 in tall. When measured all the way around at the widest part, it was just about 14 in. This is a wonderful piece ... moreof metal sculpture, very different, and quite beautiful. I haven't seen an urn as nice as this one before, the way it was made, and how it was made. The smaller size of it makes it very desirable as does the exceptional condition it presents itself in. Wonderful little Austrian bronze figure of a baby black bear with his hands up high and stand on a light yellow onyx base. The bronze is very well detailed and extremely cute. It would look beautiful as a home or office decoration. The bronze is authentic Austrian and is antique early 20th Century. The bronze is in excellent condition but the onyx base has been damage and re-glued together. Please look at the pictures carefully. The height of 1 1/4 inches tall with out the base. Antique and Unusual Cast Iron Doorstop Having a Heavy Lead? Base Mythical Bird with Red. Black, and Gold Colors For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection Details Description: An antique and very unusual doorstop cast in the form of a tall mythical bird that is flat. The bird. Which is cast iron, has a red colored head with a gold colored beak and feathers on top of its head. The bird's neck is gold colored, while its body is red in color. The bird's wings, which are raised up has black, red and gold colored feathers as does its tail. The bird is flat and has no thickness(it is 1/16” thick) but has a thin cast iron base, which is attached to a heavy metal, but not cast iron base that has a stepped shape. The heavy base is colored in gold and appears to be made of lead, but we are not certain. The back of the bird is colored in ... morea black coloring with some wear. The back of the base is colored in gold and has some wear to the coloring. The edges of the base show some bumps suggesting a soft metal and hence our suspicion that it is lead. Just a very unusual piece, which is undocumented in the many reference books we have. It is very interesting and decorative. The colors are not as bright as what you see in the photos, which were taken with flash photography. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain but most likely early to mid 20th century. Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern. Pennsylvania, USA. Size: Measures ~8 15/16" in height. The thickness of the bird is ~1/16" and the base measures ~8 1/4" by ~1 15/16" The doorstop weighs about 5 1/2 pounds. Maker: Unknown. Marks: Unmarked.
