We are pleased to offer this wonderful. Old, antique pair of candlesticks. This petite pair dates to the 19th century. They are a beautiful representation of French ormolu. They are Rococo in style and feature very detailed and ornate design. The pair are gilt bronze which has a nice thickness. They have beautiful bases with"plant stem" center columns. The stems lead to a large opened bloom that rests under the three, ascending height candle holders. The candle holders have very detailed leaves and vines that seem to wrap around them. There are two large flowers on the top sections; one faces front, the other faces the back. The candle wax drip cups are also in the form of multi petaled flowers. The pair is very ornate and extremely detailed. They are quite old and they take a smaller circumference taper candle as traditional tapers ... moreare too large to fit into the cups. The pair have screw thread that holds the cups in place and that runs down the center column. The pair are in very good condition for their age. Antique beautiful French lady sculpture on marble plinth 19th Art Nouveau
This is a lovely sculpture of a beautiful French lady sitting on a marble base or plinth. The woman is made of white metal and gilded and is in the art nouveau style. The sculpture is perched on a green and black marble plinth. The sculpture itself is 4 ½ inches high and it is 5 ¼ inches on the plinth. The sculpture likely started life as an ornament on a 19 th century French clock. The base was chipped in order to make the woman sit properly. The chips can not be seen when the sculpture is in place. There is some gilding loss to the woman. The woman may have been holding a spear or something when on the clock.

Overall they are in good condition for their age. Both have one jewel missing on base, missing felt bottom on one, one bobeche missing, one bends slightly, can be straighten, each segment un-screws-together. Expected Wear. Base stands on four legs, with each featuring a great Griffon face with an open mouth, quality and details of the bronze chasing are great. Top rim has two large handles and is reticulated all around. Large bulbous body. Having a large floral decoration laying on the net of gold strokes. Antique 19th C. French Copper Ladle/Saucepan/Pot with Spout and Wood Handle In this listing we offer a unique 19th Century copper pot with a spout and a copper& turned wood handle. It may have been used as a saucepan. Ladle or pot. For the three years our family lived in Paris. France in the very early 1960's. We usually went out for a drive outside the city on Sunday afternoons. My parents' purpose was not to go shopping. But to get their children out into the lovely countryside once a week. On one occasion. However, we stopped in a small town where there was an interesting little antique store. My parents saw a set of ten copper pieces. Some of which matched and some of which did not. And were told by the shopkeeper that everything was 19th Century French in origin- not much more than that. My parents made the poor shopkeeper ... moretake them all out back and fill them all up with water just to make 100% sure that none of them leaked, and then they bought them all. The items have never been used for cooking since. They have been hung on a wall in various places we have lived, with only a little polish once a year. Or so. This piece is one of those interesting pots. Most of which my parents have decided to place on the market at this time. This beautiful piece is in very good condition. Though it would require retinning before it could actually be used for cooking. The wood handle is very slightly loose where it is joined to the copper portion of the handle by two copper round-headed nails. A triangular plate with three rounded projections is attached to the pot by three copper rivets. And the handle is soldered to this with brass. The underside of the copper portion of the handle shows a brass soldered seam. There is a little green oxidation on the inside of the pot. Please note: This pot does not stand flat on its own and I am certain it never did. There is no evidence of scorching on the wood handle. ANTIQUE FRENCH STYLE ENAMEL CUSPIDOR / FLOWER VASE-SIGNED-LATE 19th CENTURY
This pretty enamel piece measures 7" 17.8 cm) in height. 7" in diameter at the mouth and 5 1/4" 13.4 cm) in diameter at the base. For a piece of enamel the condition is pristine. It is a pretty, deeper blue, with hand-painted in gold rose with bud designs, a 1 inch band encircling the top, and 10 smaller thin bands. There are two sets of initials on one side between the main designs, and a five letter mark opposite the initials. All the marks are made with a stippling design. The interior and exterior are pretty much perfect. There are few tiny places under the upper rim and on the base rim where there is loss of enamel. It was probably made for use as a cuspidor, It would also make a great flower vase. The provenance of the piece explains it's great condition. I purchased it from a dealer who was featured on the cover ... morewith an article in the 1990s"Country Living" in Adamstown, Pennsylvania. He had inherited a warehouse of unused enamel from his grandparents, who had purchased a large amount of enamel pieces in the early 1900s to open a shop, but never did. Old, bronze tazza with a raised pastoral scene[a shepherd, a woman clipping a sheep, a person picking apples and a bull& a barn in the background] by French sculptor Emile Picault- a large size, almost 19" from handle to handle and about 5" high- each handle has a neoclassical scene of a man& woman with winged tips- the 4 feet on the base have an animal head design- stamped on the bottom are the initials B.D. and numbers under that[546? when viewed from the side the top looks a little uneven[see photo] and there is a small ding along the edge[see photo close-up] an old, uneven patina, could use a good cleaning- a striking piece! ITEM: Antique 19th C French Bronze Box Casket Medieval Relief Patina This 5 1/4” L X 4 3/8” W X 2 3/4” H solid bronze antique box ... moreor casket is richly covered in medieval-themed relief sculpture. The two sides of the width. The two sides of the length, and the cover have genre scenes in relief within a barley twist frame reserve. Each of the sides has a split scene divided by a barley twist column. The reserves on all four sides have a gallery of rosettes above, and rosettes and curlicues below. The reserved scene on the cover is surrounded by an alternating ball-on-arch(Gothic) pattern. All surfaces have been considered for rich attributes, including the inside and outside of the cover’s edge. The box sits on 4 little bracket feet. The top is hinged on the outside on the two back corners of box, and is in excellent working order. The inside and underside of cover is lined with what appears to be mahogany. The surface of entire box has a deep back/umber patina, with a few highlights on some of the high relief surfaces, especially on the top. This bronze box appears to be in great shape. Modelled as devilish little musicians playing fireplace tools as though they were instruments: one figure playing a griddle like a guitar, the other playing tongs and a shovel like a violin(a bellows in his waist band) The figures standing atop circular mound plinths, their heads forming the candle cups(one with original cover/cap) Not visibly marked, the surfaces with original polychrome painted finish. Perhaps depicting characters from a children's book. The maker has not been identified; however, a similar pair was sold at Christies in 2009 for just over $800. I am selling a family estate and will be listing many fantastic antiques. Art and jewelry items. These are a wonderful pair of mid 19th century brass/bronze 6 light candlesticks or candelabras. They are in beautiful antique condition. A couple of the arms are a bit loose but can be easily tightened. There is a wood cover on the bottom of one and not on the other. see photos) They weigh a whopping 13 pounds each and are extremely heavy and solid. They will have to be carefully packed in two separate large boxes so the shipping cost will reflect the weight and size of the boxes. These would make quite a statement on any dining table. I guarantee that all items are as described or a full refund will be given minus shipping costs. Shipping includes signature confirmation. Packing and handling, tracking and insurance. Antique 19th c French? Gilt Bronze Art Nouveau Inkstand w 2 Inkwells - Desk BR
Offered for your consideration is an Antique Gilt Bronze Art Nouveau Inkstand with 2 Inkwells from the late 19th early 20th century. It is in overall good condition with some rubbing to the high points of the gold throughout. The inkwell tops have replaced pins and a small crack to the top left. The glass inserts are lacking and there are light surface scratches and scuffing as well as other signs of expected light wear commensurate with age. Measurements: 11 3/4" W x 7 1/4"D x 2 5/8" H. Pair of Antique 19th C FRENCH EMPIRE Style CANDLESTICKS Porcelain § Gilt Bronze
A pair of small. Very elegant and feminine French 19th century Empire revival style footed candlesticks. Gilt and hand painted square porcelain bases and tapered columns, mounted with exquisitely cast gilt bronze mounts designed with typical Empire elements like acanthus and laurel leaves. These candlesticks were probably part of a larger dresser set or a ladies desk set. They are unmarked. Excellent condition throughout with no damage to the porcelain or the metal. One candle ring. However, leans and the same candlestick also wobbles a little bit. The column of the other candlestick is possible to rotate, probably due to a replaced nut.
