Brass Dog Bed Stencil - Antique Primitive Iver Johnson Boston
Offered is a neat old brass stencil for the Iver Johnson Dog Bed manufactured by E. Salow Co. of Boston. Massachusetts. Iver Johnson was a maker of guns, motorcycles, and bicycles from 1871 to 1993. Whether these dog beds were made for them by another company, or if the dog bed was just named for the famous gun, I do not know; but this piece would make a wonderful decorative item in a primitive setting. Ezio Casagrande was the son of Egidio Casagrande born in Borgo. Italy. He and his father worked specializing in manufacture of iron, brass and copper objects. After the war the father became known throughout Europe, participating in many festivals and exhibitions. The father became known in the U.S. market. His work was used in the movies Ben Hur(1959, The Fall of the Roman Empire(1964) and The Ten Commandments(1956) He passed away in 1962 at the age of 51. After his fathers death Ezio also continued the art. I believe these are walnut and are certainly fine pieces dating t o circa 1830. The brass tops have a slightly raised foliate design. These sticks are b eautifully turned and shaped. Wonderful Antique Brass Samovar
This auction is for a wonderful tall antique brass samovar with the original tea pot. This samovar is quite rare due to the burner at the bottom which was only briefly popular near the turn of the century due to the risk of explosion. This is a very tall piece at approximately 21" x 10" and im great overall condition with only a few minor dents here and there. This Samovar would look stunning in your kitchem. VINTAGE ANTIQUE BRASS WALL HOOK PAINTED BROWN CHILDREN SAILING ON SHIP
This is an unusual brass wall hook that is painted brown. It looks to me like children sailing on a ship(but I could be wrong) The hook part is a figure of a man in robes and with a staff in his hand. I can't find any markings on it. It is 4-3/4" long and 2-1/4" wide. It is in nice shape. A little bit of paint has worn off. I also added some computer enhanced photos which show a little more detail but they do change the color of the hook.

Antique Decorated Brass Bowl w/ Heavy Patina
I was very tempted to dip this to see how it would come out. But some people like the patina. I put the scratch in the bottom to be sure it's brass. The bowl has a beautiful pressed design that repeats around the outside and measures almost 5" round and 1 3/4" tall. We are buyers. Sellers and traders. RARE Polish Poland antique LION silver plated candlesticks candle holders brass
This is an antique pair of Polish/ Russian Shabbat candle holders. They are silver plated on top of brass. This pair is very rare. And are signed by the maker FABR. WOLSKA inside each of the bobaches. I consider these to be in fine condition. Over the years I have had only a few pairs of this design. But never a pair in such condition. They have full-bodied lions on each of the four sides. The lions are facing head to head with a snake that winds itself onto each of the feet. This pair is very lightweight. Perhaps one pound each. I would say that they retain about 99% of their original plating. I cannot see any traces of brass showing through. The bobaches are original. Each has a slight wobble to them. From over the years having one or two of the feet being bent. But I hesitate to move the feet as I like to keep my antique metalware in as-is ... morecondition. They stand about 13 1/4" high. This listing is for two Vintage Bezalel/ Israel/ Judaica/Middle Eastern Engraved Brass bowls. Both with image of a man wearing a robe/ shawl on the bottom of the bowl. Which seems to be the same portrait, one inscribed in Hebrew, and one in Arabic, neither of which I have been able to make out or translate. If you can make out or read either of the writings, please let me know. 4 7/8 inches diameter by 2 inches height. And 4 7/8 inches widest diameter by 2 1/16 inches height. Both of the bowls have a turned lip and a patina on the interior. Both have details done in engraving/ etching and in Repousse. Old Antique Heavy Cast Lead, Bronze or Brass Wash Horse Figure Doorstop Bookend
Here's an interesting old or antique mystery item we don't know too much about. It is clearly very old and has acquired a very nice darkened aged appearance. Our best guess is that this is a doorstop and less likely but possibly was a bookend. It is made of thickly casted metal we think is probably lead or a lead alloy with a bronze or brass finish. Wash or plate. At one time it has a bottom piece hand soldered to it that probably stabilized it better for it's intended use. The piece still stands very well for use as a doorstop or decorative knick knack. It is about 7 inches tall about 4.5 inches wide and about 1.125 inches thick at the base. There is a slight curvature to the casting at the top of the horse head and ears we try to show in the pictures. The casting quality at the back shows some rough areas with slight pits, somewhat ... moreprimitive in appearance that seems to also imply great age and the manufacturing methods of earlier times. The piece is surprisingly hefty at about 4.5 lbs. That's about all we know. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. We'll start this old cast metal horse figure door stop or bookend low so enjoy the auction. When packed this will weigh about 5 lbs so we'll use one of the USPS Flat rate boxes at a fixed rate of $5.80 as the lowest cost postal alternative to the buyer. Attractive Antique Large Copper Sieve Strainer Colander with Brass Hanger
Here is a beautiful. 19th century copper sieve that measures 11" in diameter with a depth of 2 1/2. It is tin-lined with a lovely r olled rim. A sturdy brass hook for hanging, and an attractive hand-punched design on the front. The strainer holes have a stylized scroll and flower design that really catches the light! In good condition. Those two little w hite spots on the right side of the strain er are just part of an old sticker and will rub right off. P lease note. The shipping quoted is for the lower 48 states.
