VINTAGE THOMAS KERO SAFE RARE EARLY MODEL-1007?-ORNATE CAST IRON HANDLE
Up for auction is what I believe from research to be a rare early model of the Thomas Kero Safe Table Lamp/Lantern in overall nice original condition. The Model number I found from research seems to be 1007. But I stand to be corrrected on this. The handle is nickel plated cast iron, like the Kaufman table lamps and the font is also nickel plated and free of any dents or dings. I have done nothing to clean or enhance this lamp and it is being sold in AS FOUND, ORIGINAL CONDITION. All parts move freely and please note the most unusual generator. If anyone has any further information on this lamp, I would love to hear it. I cannot find any maker's name or marks of identification anywhere on this lamp or than the style of the burner. The lamp stands overall 20 1/2" high. Thanks

This heavy(7 ½ pounds) pair of bookends are made of cast iron and feature painted likeness of both John Alden and Priscilla. Since the back and bottom are covered. I was not able to find any makers marks, but quality for certain. The likenesses are in raised relief and the painting has a rich patina.

Antique bamboo umbrella stand with cast iron drip plate. This is the real thing not a reproduction. Probably from the 1940's-1950's. Cou ld be older. That is my best guess. Bamboo has the tortoise shell look with wooden turned finials and chains on each side. It is not in perfect condition and needs a good cleaning. Very usable and decorative for that special little spot. Stands about 32" tall and the triangle shape is about 14" on each side. Weight is about 9 pounds. Most of it being the cast iron dri p plate. LOVELY PAIR OF ART NOUVEAU NORTH AMERICAN NATIVE INDIAN GILT CAST IRON BOOKENDS
Why not have a look at my other auctions and store items for interesting militaria etc? Here is a lovely set of bookends. Likely made from the 1880's to the 1940's. They are certainly Art Nouveau style but then the Native romantic period approximately spans those years too. These are cast iron with a lovely gold patina, not unlike a Vienna bronze finish. Each is 4 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" tall. The pair is in excellent condition. The fellow depicted is wearing a chief's head dress of eagle feathers, a medallion around his neck and typical choker neckband. They're a great set of turn-of-the-century art and would make a nice addition to any Art Nouveau collection, as well as any library collection. Perfect also for an Art Deco book case. Antique Early 1900s Imperial Trouser Hanger Wall Hanging Cast Iron NICE Hook Too Lots of oldees for you this week- some very cool and very old primitives. Fabulous retro industrial, wonderful original artwork, and even some deco thrown in- there’s something for everyone! Here is a unique one- it calls itself a trouser hanger. With a patent date on the front of November 29, 1900, but you can really use it for so many things- hang it up on the wall, and it's a nice towel rack, linen hanger, or just a general hook from which you can hang your displays! The backplate that mounts on the wall is made of cast iron, and it identifies that it is called an"Imperial Trouser hanger, put out by Pynchon& Co. in Philadelphia. The looping tubes in the front I believe are made of steel(if not cast iron, too, a magnet sticks to them) and look ... moreto have a nickel plated finish- I can't be sure, but it sure looks like the nickel finishes of the early last century- it's still quite shiny silver, with very little wear. Most of the teenie dark spots that you may see in the photos are actually dirt or grime- it could use a good cleaning. It weighs a hefty 1 1/4 lbs, and it measures 9 3/8" wide at the hooks, 2 3/4" deep hook loops only, and 3 1/8" deep from the backplate to the very front of the hook. I did notice that the backplate- which the end of the back of the hook is threaded into- tilts just a smidge off center to the left- it's really hard to notice(and easier to see from the back in my photos- see photo 7- it's just a touch off straight) and very well may be original as it does not budge for me- it's on tight. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition. Aside from needing a good cleaning, there's a some small spots of white wall paint on the very edges of the backplate- from when the wall was painted, I'm sure. The mold has openings within the array flowers and are not white spots in the pictures. The back side of the mold is not flat and shows the casts of the flowers and basket. It stands 10" x 5-3/4" wide and weighs 5 pounds before packaging. It looks like it is marked on the bottom, but I'm not sure exactly what it says. It's either letters and a number or all numbers. This little girl is sometimes confused with the"Kitty Bank" They do sit next to each other in Moore's book. But they are different if you look closely. The paint shows wear, but her face is still sweet. She is rolling her eyes and has almost a smile. Yes cats can smile. The base shows her closure is missing. It was a slid or pop in. The base is NOT broken. Just missing the closure. Probably some little child decided to take out all of the coins, and just never replaced it. Since I don't do anything to any old items, this was as I found it. Shown in the Moore Bank Book M# 350 and rated a C. Original paint, and never repaired or broken. Very nice. Old antique cast iron doorstop! This gorgeous piece is probably Hubley. It features a beautiful English Bulldog or Boston Terrier which was mounted(years ago) on a thick wood back and base. It is in very good, antique condition with some expected age spots to the cast iron. There is still a nice finish to the dog and the wood base is very nice with wonderful aging characteristics. This is a unique piece as you don't find them mounted very often. The wood dimesions are 17" wide and 10.5" tall and is 4" from front to back. The dog measures 9" tall and is 8" wide.
