Up for sale is a leaded stained glass window. I obtained this piece from a friend and have no idea about its age or who constructed it. I can find no markings of any kind on the piece. Please use the photos provided to verify what I have tried my best to describe. I am no expert in these pieces but try to provide quality photos so that the buyer can make an assessment of the item. This piece is 13.25 inches by 11.5 inches and weighs about 2.5 pounds. There are no cracks that I can find anywhere in the glass. There are"bubbles" but they are mainly in the blues part of the glass. Some of the pieces will move slightly but are in no way trying to come out of the framework. Antique Framed Leaded Glass Window Pane From St Augustine Florida House
We bought this from a man tearing down a house in St Augustine Florida about 20 years ago. It was estimated to be from the 1850's. It was in a wooden frame beside the front door of the old house. We took it to an art gallery and they soldered some strips on the lead around the glass so we could display it. It is still in perfect condition would be great for any decorating of a home. certainly a great conversation piece considering where it came from and it's age. It is a beautiful tulip Red and Green colored with amber colored glass in the corners. as I say it is in perfect condition for it's age. Please feel free to ask any questions. Antique Wood Frame Reclaimed Stained Glass Door Window Pane Part
This is a beautiful reclaimed antique piece of stained glass. It is a larger piece and measures approx. 23 3/4" x 35 7/8" and 1 5/8" wide. The beautiful pieces of stained pattern glass have flowers and what resembles cornucopias. The interior side of the stained glass pieces are heavily embossed/textured and the exterior sides of the stained glass pieces are smooth. The colors are what I like to refer to as jewel tone and they are shown in the photos are pretty accurately. The exterior side of the wood frame has a flat black painted finish and the interior side is a natural wood color. None of the glass is cracked or broken and the clear pieces have the wavy look of old glass like they should. There are a few splinters missing from the wood that holds the glass pieces in place but they do not compromise the piece. They are ... moresuperficial. I do not have any way to know if this was originally part of a door or a window but I do know it is a great find for anyone that collects this type of stained glass or is restoring an old Victorian home. It is not from a pet/smoke free home. There is some dirt residue around the edges of the glass that I have not tried to clean/remove. Please ask any questions you have before bidding I am not an expert but I describe my items as accurately as I can and I do not accept returns/issue refunds. Antique Lead And Stained Glass Window Pane ( Knights Templar? )
Measuring 20 inches wide by 22 inches tall and formed from 35 separate pieces of stained glass held together by lead framework- it features a bold red"Knights Templar" style cross surrounded by squares and rectangles of blue tinted glass of various hues.age/ maker and origin of the window pane are unknown. But we suspect it is from a church or Masonic temple. It is obviously very old. There is one hairline crack in one small square if glass.we debated on repairing it, but because the pane is"all original, we decided it was better to be all original with a hairline( that by no means detracts from the striking beauty of this piece) than to have it" perfect" with a modern repair. No loose pieces.very very solid. Discovered at a Massachusetts estate sale. I don't even care if it sells or not as I wouldn't mind ... moremaking this window pane a part of my own home.
