Antique Pine Step Back Cupboard w/ 3 Drawers, Shabby Painted Primitive Furniture
This is a wonderful Primitive Antique Cupboard. It would date back to the late 1800's and this stately piece is unusual because it steps back with a nice ledge and has 3 drawers. the surface is old white paint with the doors shabby craped down to the older green color. It really has a great LOOK! I like it with the doors open for displaying my collectibles. It is 77.5" tall x 50" wide at that middle shelf. The shelf is 9.5" out which is more than most stepback cupboards. At that area it is 22" out from the wall. It has been used as you can see with a mouse hole here and there. Old tin lids cover a few of them. It is really heavy and all one piece so I found it hard to move. Very. Very Heavy! Great patina, and very practical. It measures 39" wide x 17" deep x 52-1/2" high with the splash, 49" high to the flat top. The top overhangs a little on 3 sides. There is a latch for each drawer, but just one catch works. The other is missing the slide and white handle. I ... moremight find one to replace it. A nice old antique furniture table with a two toned wooden top. The base has a nice finish in what appears to be the original paint. The top is made in strips of alternating different colored woods. The table has some wear from age and use(see photos) The table has one drawer. This is a great early American Primitive table. The table measures 2 feet 3 and 1/2 inches high. 2 feet + from the front edge of the top to the back and the table is 2 feet 10 inches wide, I would date the table to be 100 +/ years old. In a sandstone building that was built before the Civil War. The sale was the final liquidation of an antique store(they‘d had one previous auction- so much stuff, they had to have two) that used to operate out of this location- but the building has been closed, as well as the business, for over 20 years following the passing of the previous owners. Now, we’re talking two stories, an attic and a basement PACKED with antiques- it’s hard to imagine, and all of it just sitting for two decades. These folks had amassed a huge antique collection- many many items dating back to the early 1800s and before. There’s some gorgeous pieces of primitive Americana that I found. 2 Primitive Antique Turned Wood Posts Black Finish Furniture or Architectural? I had an opportunity to go down state Illinois recently for the homecoming of my Alma Mater and shopped the wonderful sales. Barn sales and antique shops along the way. I have a huge variety of oldees for you this week- from 19th century primitives to 1950s kitsch- there’s something for everyone! What can I say- I just loved the look of this antique dynamic duo. The old black paint is shabby and worn. With the wood showing in all the right places, and the wood is turned into a lovely and interesting shape. Now, I don't know if they were an architectural detail, or if they were part of a piece of furniture, so I have listed them in both. Made of solid wood, you can see they were affixed to whatever on one side of each piece. There's two holes on the top, ... moreand one on the bottom. Both of the very top holes still have parts of the wood pins that used to affix them inside of the holes, as does one of the bottom holes- see my photos. Each one measures 17 1/2" long. One end is 1 3/4" square and they are painted, the other end looks more like a foot, they are unfinished and measure 1 5/8" diameter. The widest part of the pieces is one of the round areas and it is 2 3/4" wide. They are both in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally with minor nicks, scratches, nibbles and scrapes to the wood. There's a little chipping up by the holes at the finished end where the pin inserts. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they may be oak, from the peeks of wood that I see. They are both barn fresh dirtydustydirty and could use a good cleaning. I have one word for these: prettyprettypretty! Please ask if you have any questions. Large Antique Wood Furniture Finial. Pineapple Up for your consideration is this nice unusual antique wood furniture or architectural finial. Measuring about 6 1/4" tall. It is a rather pretty piece with a ball top to a bulbous center with carved leaf design coming off the bottom to the midsection, it has a peg dowel at the base, it has a flat section on the back at the center and at the base, I think the wood is walnut but cannot be certain. Nice piece with a primitive pineapple look.the peg has a diameter of about 3/8" the base is about 2" in diameter excluding the flat area, the flat area on the back is 2 1/2" tall and about 1 3/4" wide, the ball on the top is about 1 1/4" in diameter. Antique Hooded Baby's Rocking Cradle Primitive Crib Furniture Old Blue Paint
NO RESERVE! LOW INITIAL BID TO ENCOURAGE BIDDING! Up for auction we have a wonderful antique primitive baby’s wooden hooded rocking cradle or crib. It measures 39“ in length. 23” wide and 27” tall and roughly 24 lbs. I am not sure of the type of wood used, but only one board was used on each side and end. Three pieces of wood make up the top of the hood and two boards were used on the bottom with the outside being roughly hewn. It is in very good shape for its age with the following items noticed: 2 ½” split on front of hood. 5” light scratch on outside of end(baby’s feet) piece off of one runner and 3 ½” ship in base of other runner. The nails appear to be hand wrought and rusted except for some copper nails which years ago were used to attach a horsehair fabric to the bottom(to make it quieter perhaps? The runners are stabilized ... moreby a staff that is held in place with a wood splice(no nails! This fact and the old blue paint indicate to me that this is handmade and an antique of consider age. Also note the nice patina on the wood and wear on areas of usage, as well. Please e-mail me with any questions you might have. Here is a wonderful set of primitive doll furniture circa 1900. Includes a bed. A table, a chair, a bench, and a settee. It is made of small nailed together sticks. The chairs have ribbon woven seats. The ribbons on the bench are coming undone and are frayed and deteriorated. The bed cushion is made from an old Lee Mercantile jeans bag. Antique office file cabinet1840's Chest vintage Primitive Apothecary Furniture
Here is a unique find a 36 drawer apothecary cabinet or what looks like it could have been an old school house filing cabinet dating back to the mid 1840's. The unit stands very heavy and sturdy at 79 and 1/4 inches talk. It's 25 1/2 inches wide and 10 inches deep. The drawers measure 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and are nailed with those tiny old nails they are very sturdy as well. The piece does show two drawers with chipped corners and the sides of the cabinet have been painted and distressed a antique dark yellow almost almond mixed. It's a very nice find there are several dates on the drawers I am saying at least date the drawers back to the mid/ late 1840's shown in the photos are examples of ones I could capture on camera others are faint and hard to see without a magnifier or better light. Many coats of a beautiful hand rubbed varnish, it showcases the gorgeous pine grains and many imperfections and character marks such as chipped/rough edges, nicks, screw holes, worn areas etc. They all give it an outstanding naturally aged patina and unique look There are several ink stains which I finished over. This is an antique wooden adjustable hand screw clamp. There is a makers mark. Underneath the owners stamps- hard to tell from the picture, but I can make out the letters NORS? BROS. The wooden jaws of the clamp are 14" long, and the wooden screw are about 12" long, not including the handles. In good condition with some nicks and chips from use.

Primitive Hand Made Antique Rocking Doll Cradle Furniture possibly 1800's Amish
1800's Rocking Doll Cradle from Virginia I've looked at many primitive and antique ebay cradles in an effort to provide an accurate description. I found nothing exactly like it. The closest I found was an Amish cradle from the 1800s. I'm almost certain that it is hand made. The floor appears to be southern yellow pine and has saw cut marks on the upper side of it(see pics) The bottom of the floor feels like it is hand planed. It has a couple nail holes on the bottom that don't go all the way through. So I suspect it is a repurposed board. There is a very faint signature-like mark and two other marks on the bottom(see pics and judge for yourself) The sides and ends also appear to be southern yellow pine. The top edges of the sides appear to be hand cut. They and the foot end also feel like they've been planed by hand. The ... morehead end has been repaired with a strip of modern soft pine on top(see pics) The rockers appear to be made of oak. The Cradle Frame Measures 22-1/2” Long x 8” Wide x 9” High. The original paint was a light gray. Based on both wear and fading. The barn red paint on top of it appears to have been there many years. Take a close look at the pics and draw your own conclusions. I have only enough knowledge to make educated guesses. So I'm not an expect. Ask questions and consult others who may be more knowledgeable if you are not.

I pulled these nails out of a very. Very old stool. I peeled off layer upon layer of upholstery fabric and the final. Original layer was secured by these nails. I honestly feel bad because I think I inadvertently destroyed a piece of American history by going to town on this stool. If I had to guess. These nails are at least 100 years old.
