Brass and Copper Extra Large Coal Bucket with Turned Wooden Handles
For your consideration is a larger than usual brass and copper coal bucket. I have seen similar coal buckets before and I don't recall ever seeing one this large; also the ones that I have seen had white stoneware handles with blue decor and this bucket has turned wooden handles. Not counting the brass& wood rear tipping handle. This brass& copper coal bucket has a length of 21" not counting the ornate brass apparatuses that hold the main wood and brass carrying handle this coal bucket is slightly more than 16 1/4" wide, this coal bucket has a maximum height of approximately 18 1/2" and the brass base is approximately 12" in diameter. Coal bucket were used inside to store fuel for wood/coal burning stoves and fireplaces. Most ordinary people had a steel bucket or even wooden box. This is an Original 1890's Old Green Painted Wooden Wash Tub in Good Original Condition. Measures about 23" in diameter at the top. 19" in diameter at the bottom, and 12" tall. Has the original wood and wire handles, bottom is hand chamfered. the metal rings are original. The boards are a tongue and groove construction. I am listing a few of these different metal, aluminum trays and dishes. Owner said they thought they were all older maybe vintage pieces. I'm guessing this is chrome, not sure, bid knowing not sure of metal. I will not be cleaning these up. Because I know different items need different attention, so I'd rather not risk the chance of messing them up in any way. You are bidding on an Antique Cornish Company Pump Organ Wooden Decorative Lift Handles Ca. 1900's. Each piece is 7" across and about 9 1/8" from top to the pointed bottom. These are the handles that are on the side of the organ so it can be picked up. They are decorated and have the original patina. The finish has come off on one of the block pieces see pic# 3&4. I do not see any cracks. Breaks or chips. There is a name on the back of one of them J D Scott- could be the guy who made the organ or maybe the owner? I have other pieces if there is something you might need for your Cornish Organ. This is from an old piece and shows some wear from age.
