Vintage Suede Table Runner Arts&Crafts, Mission Style, folk art
Up for sale today is a one of a kind table runner. This was purchased from the estate of the original owner apx 20 years ago. My understanding is that it was made in the 1910's- 20's for the mans wife. This is hand crafted one of a kind item. The background is green suede. The condition is very good shows very little if any wear the colors are still very bright. It measures apx 42" long and 21" wide. I used this on top of a Mission Style Oak Buffet. OLD AFRICAN Fine Primitive WOOD SCULPTURE CARVING vintage folk art artwork arts
Up for sale here is a vintage circa 1960s or earlier African carved wood sculpture depicting a Nude Seated Figure of a Woman. The sculpture measures just under 15 1/2 inches in height by 5 1/2 inches across by about 5 1/2 inches deep. There is no maker's mark or artist signature on the piece from what we can see. There does not appear to be any paint or finish on the work either it is just bare carved wood. The piece has some nice facial details and the extra carving on the boarder of the seat is a nice feature. For condition there is a split through the center of the face and through the leg of the chair. There is some minor natural handling wear and a few light scratches and nicks to the wood but not bad overall. We are not sure what region in Africa that this piece was made. The overall condition is decent, but the linen backround is a bit yellowed due to age, and there is some browning throughout, as can be viewed in the pictures. Hi. You are bidding on one very unusual chair. I looked for hours trying to id this chair. From what I can tell it may be an old bank teller chair or some other work chair. Well built. No makers mark that I can find. I count a total of 7 old flat head screws used on the chair. Its still in great usable shape. I can ship it in a large box. In my experience of shipping items like this, I figure it will cost around $50.00 so keep that in mind when bidding. It is a really neat chair. Vintage Bali Indonesia carved wood mask folk arts red devil monster 13"x10"
You are looking at a vintage Indonesian folk art ritual mask. It is hand carved out of wood. it does have a crack down the right side(see photos) It does not effect the structure of the mask and I think it actually gives it character. There is a lot of faded color On the mask. I'm not sure how old this is but I'm thinking that it could be over 100 year old. The faded color and some of the wear and tear doesn't just happen overnight. it does have a partial wax stamp on the back side that also looks very old. I am offering for your consideration today a very unique and handsome vintage table lamp. I am categorizing this lamp as Folk Art. Done in the Arts& Crafts style, as it appears to have been artistically crafted together from various vintage sources. As you can see, the center part of the lamp is brass and is marked Miller& The Juno Lamp. The base appears to be made of brass and wood and is stamped L.A. Bacon on one side. The shade is crafted of 4 panels of green and caramel stained glass, accented by a cutaway metal frame. The lamp is electrified and is in working condition. The table lamp, which stands approximately 18 1/2" tall is in good shape, though it would benefit from a cleaning. The copper is unpolished with a few spots and a beautiful natural patina. This piece is most likely mid-20th century. Perhaps a little earlier. Total size is approximately 16 x 5.75 inches. Each copper panel is 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Height is around 7 inches. This is a nice. Sturdy holder(non-adjustable) with a weight of just over 2 pounds. Good Used Condition: Minor signs of overall wear and age. A few small scratches to the wood. One of the copper plates has come loose from its nails on the left side.this is not very noticeable. RARE COUNTRY TOY PRIMITIVE VINTAGE PAIR OF FOLK ARTS PRUNED FACED DOLLS CLOTH
A very unique/rare set of dolls. That I got the chance to have it verbal appraised from Appraiser Sean Morton(shown in the last photo) when an antique displays were held in Tempe Az. Library. He said it was"FolkArts" Doll. Unique and rare. Especially that they were a couple. It was about over 40 years old and faces were made from potatoes. He said these dolls were hard to find anymore. Brief description of the dolls- faces were potatoes.
