English fox hunting scenes ... moreare depicted in a very detailed manner. With lots of movement– as the chase is on! Long, thin, rectangular shape- with a slightly unexpected tall height. The tin has a hinged lid and once contained biscuits from Scribbans Kemp. It dates to circa 1954. There is generalized patina on the tin for an antique look. The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear. Some small scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and soiling, some small dents and dings, etc. Lid is a little more muted than base and has some noticeable soiling. Noticeable denting on front side and one end of base. Some sticky sticker residue on front side. A few more noticeable scratches here and there. Still fairly small. Much of inside is covered with dark patina. There is rust inside- around the interior crevice. And around the upper edges and around the lid, including at the hinge areas. Several reverse dings and some other normal wear on bottom. Hinges seem attached well enough and they move freely until they hit a kink when the lid is almost closed. So there is some wonkiness to the open/close situation. And a little coaxing is required. Again. Condition issues of note: NOTICEABLE DENTING ON FRONT SIDE OF BASE AND ON ONE END. Lid is more muted and has noticeable soiling. A few more noticeable small scratches here and there. Some sticky sticker residue on front side. Some rust inside– at crevice. Upper edges, around inside lid edge, at hinge area, etc. Some wonkiness to the hinges. Open/close requires some coaxing. Approximate size of tin is about 11.25” by 3.5” by about 4” tall. Beautiful Light Blue Vintage Baret Ware English Tin Box Decorated Knob
Beautiful Blue Baret Ware Tin This vintage English tin is a wonderful shade of blue– it’s bright and subdued at the same time. Lovely English floral designs. Slanted corners, the lid bevels up to an oval, and a decorated knob crowns the whole thing. The tin was made by Baret Ware. The tin has some vintage wear and patina. There are some small areas of wear. Some scratches and scuffs, handling marks and soiling, some small dents and dings, etc. The oval on the lid is worn dark. And the gold trim/border on upper base is worn very dark in many places. Lid is a bit more soiled/darker than base. A little bit of early rust around interior crevice, possibly starting elsewhere here and there on tin. Opens/closes fine with slight coaxing, as is typical with eight-sided tins. Again. Condition issues of note: Some dark areas. Including oval on lid and ... moretrim on upper base. Some early rust at interior crevice. Possibly elsewhere here and there. Rare Vintage Antique CWS Native Americans English Biscuit Tin Box Indian Chief
Rare CWS Biscuit Tin with Native American Scenes This CWS biscuit tin from the early 1900s doesn’t pop up too often. It’s beautifully decorated with Native American Indian scenes. I believe it dates to the 1900 to 1910 timeframe. But could be later. Noticeable antique wear and patina includes some small areas of wear. Some scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and normal vintage soiling, some small dents and dings, some small marks and stains, etc. Lid is more worn than base, particularly around edges, with lid lip totally worn. The lid can be popped in and out. With a noticeable dip/dent when popped down. There’s a noticeable dent on one end. Three corners on lid lip are split. Some surface rust on the interior. Bottom is dark with patina. Hinge is firmly in place and moves freely. Lid would like to stay slightly ajar. Needs some coaxing ... moreto open and close. Again. Condition issues of note: Noticeable wear and patina. L id pops in and out. Dents inward when popped in. Noticeable dent on one end. Lid is more worn than base. Lid lip totally worn. For your consideration is a pair of vintage Victorian style brass candle holders. Each candlestick measures 11 inches tall. One has a slight dent towards the top which I have also made known in the pictures. These are not perfect but they are very old and collectible. Each is impressed“U.S.A. 1959” T he candlesticks both have pushers that are used to eject the stump of the candle(though I do not know whether the pushes are currently opera ble. perhaps lubrication) The centre design of the candlesticks incorporates a beehive pattern. Lovely 1930s McVitie& Price Carnival Biscuit Tin Beautiful artwork decorates the lid of this 1930s English biscuit tin. The scene is entitled“Carnival. and shows several small children in circa 1800 attire. Pretty red base and lid border, with gold scroll accents. This tin once contained biscuits from McVitie& Price, dates to 1938, and is rather scarce. The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear. Some small scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and normal vintage soiling, some small/minor dents and dings, etc. Several light-ish scratches on the lid, with a cluster of scratches noticeable in the right light. Gorgeous vintage hand-crafted English footed copper pot. There are lions heads on each side with ring-handles in their mouths. There are 3 lions feet at the base. The brads at the seams of the piece and holding the lion heads in place jut out ornamentally on the exterior. And on the interior the brads are flat and flush with the surface. This is just a wonderful piece with lovely detailing. This pot could serve multiple purposes: You could use it as a wine cooler, as an ornate ... morewaste paper basket for your desk, or as a fancy planter. This item measures 7-3/4 inches high. It measures 7-7/8 inches across the top. The opening size is 7-3/8 inches. The bottom of the pot measures 5-7/8 inches across. The widest measurement from the tip of one lions claw to another is 7-1/4 inches. This pot weighs 443.7 grams. On the bottom of the pot it says impressed into the copper MADE IN ENGLAND and HANDMADE. There is glue remainder from an old label that is no longer present. There is also a gold foil label from the shop that sold the piece when it was new, that was Braukmans in Denver Colorado. I looked Braukmans up on the Internet and from what I could glean they closed many years ago. This pot is in overall very nice vintage condition. There is some minor age-appropriate scuffing and some small, light water stains, just the normal light wear that you would expect for an old piece of this type. There is one spot of verdigris above one of the lions paws, and it is not easily noticeable since it is so close to the bottom of the piece. The overall condition of the metal is very good.
