Vintage Copper Bowl - Arts and Crafts Style - Blue Enamel Interior -Signed China
Here is a vintage copper bowl with teal blue enamel on the inside. The bowl is formed with vertical"panels" all around the outside. Which give it an Arts and Crafts feel, in my opinion. It is 5.5 inches across the middle of the top, 3-1/8th inches across the bottom, and sits 1.75 inches tall. It has a nice ring when pinged. There are no dents in the piece, but one fleck of enamel is missing on the inside(see in picture one, upper middle right) The bottom is stamped"CHINA" It weighs eight ounces, and just needs a good cleaning.

Nice vintage perpetual desk calendar. Marked on back it reads"SIlver Crest/ Sterling Decorated Bronze" It also has the logo of Smith Metal Arts(S. M. A. Co) and the number 108. Made out of bronze with sterling silver decorations. It has all the original 7 inserts for the calendar(I don't think the plastic is original) Circa 1920's. The bottom is covered in brown f=elt. It measures 3" 1/4 h x 4" w x 1" 1/2 d. Approx. It's in very good condition. Bronze has nice color and patina. No dents. Scratches, etc. Silver has some stains and some scratches(check photos, please) Inserts show some yellowing and one is missing a corner(check close up photo) it really doesn't affect the reading of the calendar. Not marked as to maker but has the letters' K-X cuo' and vague numbers scratched into the bottom.Also marked sterling at the base of the tree pattern. This indicates that this piece was made prior to the patent being granted. So this dates to between June 7. 1911,and the date the patent was applied for August 27, 1912. It has a very thick patina and a good overall condition with a small area at back that has slight indentation. Measures at 6 1/4" tall.

It also has a sort of hammered& carved look to it. I have never seen anything quite like this. I would say this was handmade as you can see the way it was made around the spout and handle. I think it is copper, it does not hold a magnet, also could be brass but it has a reddish copper finish, so I am thinking copper. Tall narrow old mailbox shape, it is marked"MAIL" on the front in raised letters. On the top is a small lid that opens to the mail slot, below that lid is a larger lid that has a lock(sorry, no key) that opens to get the mail out. There is one hole near the bottom that would be used for hanging though I think it would need another way to attach to a wall. It stands about 4 1/2 inches high and is about the same in diameter where the pot would go although it is slightly larger is measured from the knees of the legs which stick out a bit farther. As mentioned above in the condition box. There appears to be a very clean repair to one of the the legs just at the knee in the stem of the clover symbol.
