Antique 1870's 19th Century Aesthetic Movement Era Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Quadruple Plate Urn. Has number 2112 on bottom by the hallmark. Wilcox went out of business in Meridian. CT in the 1870's, and they were bought out, and later made part of the International Silver Plate Co in the 1890's. This is an exquisite example of Aesthetic Movement and Art Deco Metal work. Extreme detail on the fisted handles, and ornate hammered metalwork pattern designs. Stands around 5.75" and has someones initials on it. Very good quality collectible item. See photo. Vintage Hinged Metal Pitcher Acorn Handle 8" Estate Sale Marked Sterling Silver?
Thanks for viewing my auction! This is a Vintage Metal Hinged Pitcher! This is a tall Pitcher of Metal Composition. It has a hinge at the top with a lever composed of 2 Acorns. In order to hold the handle with your fist and reach with your thumb to push the Acorns and spring open the lid. This piece has a very nice design. But I am not sure what type of metal it is composed of. The underside is etched with a flower-shaped mark. And the pitcher is non-magnetic. This stands aprox. 8” tall& 4” in diameter. Not including the handle. It is in Very Good condition for it’s age. But shows some discoloration of the metal and scuff marks. I have not attempted to polish this. As I have no experience with it, and there is part of a sticker attached to the lid. This is a very Unique Piece at a Low Starting Bid! Quite heavy for its size. It weighs in at about 1 and a quarter pounds. We don't see any markings. So we don't know its age, metal content or region of origin. It was already quite old when the current owner purchased it years ago. Black metal with what we believe to be silver plating, which is quite prominent and visible inside and on the bottom, but extensively worn on the sides and almost completely worn on top. Lid features an ornate country scene in high relief. A man ... moreand woman rest under a tree. His arm around her, it looks like she's blowing on a little flute. While he fingers the notes. This is a silver metal match safe. There are no markings but the metal polished up with silver polish. It is 2 1/2 inches long, 1 3/4 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick with elaborate embossing the main theme on the front is a face, sun with rays or lion with main. There is a striker on the bottom and the top opens with a hinge with an iron pin- there is a spot of rust. Near the nape of the stem is a ring of applied silver florettes. Very pretty repousse flowers with foliage pointing in each direction. The candlestick has a small knop and long. Here presented is an estate find of a beautiful vintage soup bowl. Pewter-colored Tureen/Serving Bowl + Lid* Silver Plated Inner Divided into 2-chambers* Bell Accents of Finial/ Handles. 8.5" dia. 11" handle to handle, 7" high to the tip of the lid. It's unusual in that the bowl is divided into 2 compartments! It's exterior is now evenly grayish pewter colored. Areas not exposed to elements(bowl interior and bottom) are still silver plated. I am not an expert on metals, I assume the bowl original was SP allover, not sure it is SP over what metal. Only marked"Hand Made" on bottom. From the style and degree of tarnish. I think this is an antique item at least 60 years old to over 100 years old. In excellent vintage condition with no structural damage. But a few small tarnish spots on the silver lining of the ... morebowl, while the underside of the lid hardly shows any wear/damage.

DETAILS* This interesting piece looks to be quite old. It weighs 4 oz. and when I look at it under a magnifying glass I see some glints of a copper color which leads me to believe that it may be silver over copper. It measures 3" tall not counting the handle and 2-1/2" across the bottom. The medallion on the front has a man on a horse. There is some sort of hallmark on the handle that I can't make out. STERLING ON BRONZE, and a Patent date of Aug. 2 or another date that we cannot read. About 9 and 3/4 inches tall. Well proportioned and very well made as usual for this company. Famous for their sterling on bronze metal patented manufacturing process. MANY PHOTOGRAPHS BELOW OUR DESCRIPTION We have not cleaned this item. It was purchased a few years ago from a direct descendant of US President Herbert Hoover. Who, along with his wife and family were known to love and show dogs. We were unable to find a reference to this particular Chow Chow being owned by the Hoover's. Though the name Hoover is written on the bottom of the trophy. It was won in 1922 at a dog show in Toledo. Ohio at the Hotel Secor. The ... moredog's name was Lu Cheng. We did find the following two references: Dogdom Monthly vol.21 March 1920, Lu cheng. John Richardson's very attractive young stud. This is an wonderful antique Sterling Silver on Bronze desk accessory set crafted by the Heintz Art Metal Shop(H.A.M.S. early 1900's. The set includes the following: 1) Letter Holder. 2) Hand Held Rocking Ink Blotter and(3) Inkwell. Please look at pictures for general dimensions of the individual pieces. This set is in overall good condition with the original patina. There are general minor surface abrasions, loss to the finish, surface scratches, and small scattered dings. Also, the Inkwell is missing the glass insert well and the Letter Holder is missing a screw and one screw is not the original screw. The Letter Holder and Inkwell are both stamped with the H.A.M.S. There are 2 shallow indentations low on the back- I don't know if these are deliberate or not. Gorgeous Silver Crest 1078 Mixed Metal Vase-sterling over bronze, heavy patina

Heintz Art Metal Silver Overlay Ashtray and Match book holder Hunting Scene
Up for auction is this vintage Heintz Metal Art ashtray and match book holder. This is one of many items I will be selling from a large collection of Heintz Metal Art. Silver Crest and other bronze with silver overlay items. This collection was housed in a beach house for many years and the salt air has caused a green oxidation to the patina in some areas as well as pitting to the metal in some cases. All of the pieces are being sold as found. I will do my best to point out the damages in the description and photos. This ashtray, measuring 9” across and 4” high, is decorated with a sterling silver overlay of a hunting scene. There are trees, a deer and a hunting dog all in an arts and crafts style. The reverse side of the match book holder has a three letter monogram that I believe reads LAK. The ashtray has no dents but does have all over ... moreoxidation. There is a roughness associated with the oxidation that may mean some slight pitting. There are four rough spots on the base that is probably more pitting.
