It has a pewter lid and the side of the stein has an image of a man with a winged helmet and it says his name is Hermann. It measures about 10½" tall and the stein is in excellent condition with no damage– the lid is pretty loose. But no physical damage. Bottom is unmarked, but it’s guaranteed old and original! Antique European Heavy Pewter Tankard/Stein Embossed with Hunting Scene
This is a very old tankard. Most likely dating to 19th century, perhaps even earlier. It is made of very heavy and thick metal which I believe to be pewter and the surface is embossed with hunting scenes featuring hunters and dogs and this appears to have been done by hand. From what I have been told this tankard originally came from Europe. It is definitely quite unusual and it is obvious that it had been well used over the hundred years of its existence and there are signs of use. Marked with some kind of maker's mark or hallmark on the bottom but cannot decipher it. Please look at all the pictures to judge the condition. Size is 7 1/8 inches tall measured at the highest point on the lid handle. Width at the base is about 4 1/2 inches. In great condition, nice patina. Three touch marks on the bottom. Here is a lovely modern Pewter Liberty Bell tankard style sugar and creamer set. I believe it is from about 1972. The oval Liberty Bell design is in an oval on the front of the pieces. This vintage set is from the Plough Tavern series. T his vintage heavy cast metal set was made in Columbia. PA by Wilton Armetale. Their logo is stamped on the rim of the creamer and the body of the sugar. The sugar bowl and creamer are 4" tall and in very fine condition with a nice patina. Antique Pewter Half Pint Measure This measure has several marks. But I have not been able to identify who the maker is. I've attempted to describe the markings below and have provided photos that show all of these marks. Stamped: 1/2 Pint" Imperial" Also, poorly stamped but legible is"Suffolk" as well as three letters/numbers inside of a circle. The first letter is clearly"D" the second is questionable, and the third is"3" Stamped on inside bottom: A crown. With an"X" underneath. The measure stands 3 3/4" tall. And measures 2 3/4" across the base. It appears to have seen a good amount of use during its life. It is very sturdy, but has a faintly lopsided posture and asymmetrical feel.

W R Loftus 1 Pint Brass Rim Pewter Potbelly Mug / Tankard / Measure 19th Century
This is a late 19th century pewter tankard crafted by W R Loftus of London. This tankard features a brass rim with the"W R Loftus" makers hallmark. A capacity mark reading"pint" and the"F R" verification mark. Script writing encircles the underside, but I am unable to decipher what it says. This piece has nice patina and is in as-found condition. There is no evidence of repairs, not does it appear to have been bent. There are very small stains, pits, and scratches, none but are significant. Please contact me with any questions, and happy bidding!

This auction is for a very nice antique English pewter tankard. This wonderful 1 pint tankard measures approximately 4 3/4" tall. It has a wonderful detailed handle and is stamped"VR(Victoria Regina) 396 Pint 4" there is a crown mark over the number"396" Queen Victoria ascended to the throne in 1837. So this was made sometime after that. There is also a makers mark on the inside bottom of the tankard. I have included several images of the mark. I have been unable to decipher what it says. It also has writing on the bottom which I am unable to read(see pictures) This tankard is in very good condition. There are no cracks or loses to the pewter. Very nice pewter tankard. It was bought from a lady who bought it 35 years ago in an antique shop. We think it is a tankard for hanging in a boat. I could not find one like it, nor could I find the mark. The mark is dates 1700's but it looks too nice to be that old. It does have some use, as there are a few dents but nothing major. Very substantial and heavy.

It also has a fabulous patina with copper tones throughout. The age of the stein in unknown but is marked G.S. India 13 13 on the bottom. There are 5 tin flowers each with leaves on the stem and their own unique design. They also have a great patina to them with minor rust throughout. The stein is in good condition with the exception of a dent as depicted. It also looks as if the bottom rim has a repair to it measuring 2" long. The stein measures 5" tall and the base measures 4 1/2" across. The top opening of the stein is approximately 2 3/4" The flower lengths range from 14" to 15 1/2" long with the stems straightened. Early Antique London English Pewter Lidded Tankard Stein Hallmarks
Here is an early antique lidded pewter tankard. It has several hallmarks on the bottom including a larger one with a crown and plumes on the side. I believe this hallmark indicates it was made in London. Below are 4 smaller marks one I can tell is a lion. The tankard stands about 7" high to the top of the lid. The base is about 5" wide. It has a unique shape to it and added rings for decoration. There are a few minor dings. But I suppose that is to be expected on an older piece like this. Shipping is available Monday-Friday.
