BEAUTIFUL MOREAU STATU This is a lovely metal statue of a man and woman and its signed and stamped L&F Moreau and Made in France stamp mark. Its a very nice size at 19" high to the top of her hand and about 12" wide. There is lots of paint loss and I think this was once a lamp because there is a hole in the back in the metal. See photo#8. Also I think her pinky finger is missing a little piece off of it. Its got a great shabby look to it and is great for just displaying. For your consideration is a vintage art nouveau spelter figural statue with the most impressive size nearly 3 feet tall. This would make a fine statement for any room. The lovely maiden dressed in a flowing gown is just stunning. She would work perfect as a newel post or as an entrance piece on a pedistal. She is double signed on base as shown- Ranieri. These statues were blanks that were then electrified which one can easily wire up to her hand and use as a torch lamp. The statue shows wear typical of age and use to the patina easily touched up. But as you can see displays beautifully with its aged character. These are so hard to come by in such a rare size. One could very easily convert her into a torch lamp if you chose. Its also signed"Ludot" on back, see photos. She is quite big and measure about 20" to top of her hand with base, the statue itself is about 17" to top of hand. Her thumb is missing- other than that not sure I see anything else but I am no expert, please ask questions. The lamp base is a lovely lady, super features, made of either cast iron or a heavy type cast metal substance, painted an antique white, standing on a very decorative ornate base. The very top has a predrilled hole as well as under the bottom part of her dress in the back where wiring can be inserted. I am offering for sale this beautiful Art Nouveau or Art Deco piece: she's a beautiful antique bronze of a nude woman with flowing hair covering her privates. She's on a bronze and onyx(type of marble) base and she is quite beautiful with her hands holding her hair back. The onyx is a celadon green with a cornelian color line that goes through it. She's 9 1/2" tall and the diameter of the base is 4 1/4" We paid a lot for her years ago. But as always we offer a low starting bid so enjoy the auction and bid early and often. Large Signed French Art Nouveau Patinated Spelter Figure Statue Lady Flower Girl
Beautiful signed art nouveau allegorical figure. La Fleur des Glaciers" or"The Flower of the Glaciers" by French artist, Julien Caussé, circa 1900. Quite large at 31" high, on a 9" diameter marbleized plinth with a brass cartouche, engraved with the title and artist name. The plinth features shades of green, complimenting the greenish patination present on the maiden's robes& the stylized base, which marvelously represents the icy glacier upon which the woman is posed. There are a few minor spots of wear to the patination, primarily on the arms, but I find them relatively minimal, especially when compared with other pieces I've seen from this period. They could easily be touched up, but I prefer the original finish left as-is. No other condition issues to report. Top-quality piece. If you are the ... morewinning bidder. From a Local Estate we have a Lovely Antique Art Deco Lady Statue! It has the Foundry Mark embossed in the metal. Fabrication Francaise, Made in Paris, France. This lovely lady looks to be a white metal underneath, perhaps spelter, her body a bronze and attire green to match the black marble with green veins. Coloring looks to be all original. The base measures 9 7/8" in length and 4 7/8" across at its widest. The lady's arm extends about another inch over the 10" base. From base to top of her head is 7" This piece is quite heavy weighing 6.5 lbs. It is in wonderful condition! There are felt pads on the bottom for protection of furniture. Can find no breaks or cracks with in the metal work. There are 4 holes in the back(photo) Do not know what these were for. A lot of these pieces have holes as such in the back, so ... morewe are not sure if these are normal to the statue or if perhaps it was once a lamp. Found a small chip to the bottom base of the marble, far right side towards the back, you can see it if you look at the bottom of the base photo, not really noticeable when displayed due to the veining in the marble and a minute one to the marble rim across from her right foot. All the photos were taken with a flash for detail. She has a lovely patina throughout of a dark bronze and green. Although her coloring is showing to be a bit shiny in the photos. Signed A. MAYER bronze statue of the Blind Justice figure of a Woman with blindfold on her eyes. A sword on one hand and a scale on the other as she stands on top of a book and a snake. I guess all these symbols represent Laws and judgement, etc. Nicely cast and a very ornate statue with a clear signature of A. Mayer on the base. It sits on top of a marble and the total height is about 12" high. Great desk item for a Lawyer or a Judge.
