Welcome to my auction! Up for bid is a vintage 1940's Art Deco JB Hirsch metal figure of a girl with ivorine face on marble pin or coin tray. This ... moreis not marked Hirsch. But believe that it is. Girl's face is nice, in ivorine, to look like ivory. The marble at the front measures about 4 3/4" wide, the back of the marble is about 2" wide. The sides of the marble measure about 5 1/2" long. The front brim of the hat to the base of the marble measures about 5 3/4" tall. The top of the girl's hat to her feet is a gold painted metal- I believe it is a pot metal or spelter. The marble tray is a beautiful variegated ivory colors. The marble has very nice graining through out. Please look at all pictures CAREFULLY. I am selling this item as is. PLEASE READ MY DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. As I try to list every flaw I see. I don't see any cracks in the metal. The marble is in good vintage condition. In picture#12, I do see on the left corner on the top of the marble a minor scratch. Also on the left corner the marble seems to have a scraped corner, it doesn't look like a chip to me. Looks like it could have even been cut on the grain of the marble and not polished. Sorry I can't tell even with a magnifying glass. The paint shows some wear and chips, and an old patina in spots. The girl is very sturdy on the marble. The bottom has an old felt bottom on it, but I am not sure if it is original. This would be a nice addition to someone's art deco metal and marble collection. I take PAY PAL ONLY. No e-checks, and ship only within the continental United States to your confirmed address. Item will be shipped within two days AFTER payment clears by USPS Priority with tracking. Buyer is responsible on handling problems with the Post Office. I will send you the receipt from the Post Office, if you need it for a claim. If you have any questions, please contact me. If you feel that I did not describe this item satisfactorily. Refunds are accepted and are made for the purchase price only, shippi

1920-1940 Art Deco JB Hirsch Spelter Figure with Ivorine Face & Marble Base
Welcome to my auction! Up for bid is a vintage 1940's Art Deco JB Hirsch metal figure of a girl with ivorine face on marble base. This is not marked Hirsch. But believe that it is. Girl's face is nice, in ivorine, to look like ivory. Lips are painted red and eyes are painted blue. The top of the girl's hat to her feet is a nice bronze color painted metal- I believe the metal is pot metal or spelter. The marble base is a beautiful variegated green and rust colors. The marble has very nice graining through the center. This figure is just about 7" tall from the brim of her hat to the bottom of the marble base. The round base measures about 3" in diameter. Please look at all pictures CAREFULLY as they are part of my description. I am selling this item as is and as found. PLEASE READ MY DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. As I try to ... morelist every flaw I see. The left side of her face has a very slight discolorization. The girl is holding an instument, maybe a mandolin in her right hand. At sometime, the neck of the instrument broke off. Picture#12 shows a detail picture of the broken off piece. I don't see any cracks in the metal. The marble is in very good vintage condition- no chips or cracks. The paint shows some wear and chips around the ankles, which seems to be the place people pick it up. A few more paint loss chips throughout but not bad. There is a nice old patina in spots. The girl is very sturdy on the marble. The bottom has an old felt bottom on it, seems old but I am not sure if it is original. This would be a nice addition to someone's art deco metal and marble collection. I take PAY PAL ONLY. No e-checks, and ship only within the continental United States to your confirmed address. JB Hirsch Spelter Bookends c.1926 Wait Here Seated Lady with Celluloid Face
These are a pair of J.B.Hirsch seated lady bookends circa 1926 titled"Wait Here. Bookends are cast spelter/grey metal figures with celluloid/ivorine faces and chests and are attached to marble/polished stone bases. Both bookends are in good used condition with no breaks or repairs. Both ladies have a small amount of flaking to paint and a little chip or two on their bases. But are in overall good used condition with beautiful shaded blue dress coloring. Lady shown first in photos has a section of paint missing on her hand as well, I am also not sure if either of these pieces should be holding an item that is missing since they both have a small nail in their laps. Each bookend measure about 6.5 inches tall, about 4 inches long, and about 5 inches across. Please see photos for condition. Shipping on these items will be higher due to their ... moreweight and fragile nature and will include insurance. I also have other J.B. Hirsch pieces available in separate auctions. I received a message from an eBay buyer that the nail in her lap was there to hold a fan. My bookends must be missing their fans then. Thank you for the helpful information! Item sold as-is. As-found. No returns. No international or APO shipping or bidders please, continental US shipping and bidders only. Please contact me with any questions. Thank you and good luck!
Art Deco Figural Bookends Metal w/ Celluloid Ivorine JB Hirsch
Great old art deco figural bookends. They are as seen. A female dancer of some sort. I believe they are a JB Hirsch or artist, as they are the metal material with the celluloid or ivorine face and belly. One of the figures belly has a crack showing. There are area to this ivorine material with dirt or stain. I do not think the hands are the same material, since they do have two broken fingers they appear to be a plaster like material. Even with these flaws they are really unusual and show well. The metal dress and hat and shoes are painted gold. They are attached to a marble 3 layered base. There is no signature that I see. They measure to be about 10 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Thanks for your interest. I am not an expert on all the items I list. So please email me with any questions or concerns for the item or items in this listing. ... moreI try to describe each item as accurately as I see them, and I will be happy to send additional pictures to help you in your buying decision.
