Vintage Haida Indian Shaman's charm beaver w/Dragonfly wall figure by Thorn Arts
Shipping will be very slow as I’m working out of town during the week doing a double shift and coming home on weekends and I sometimes fall behind on these packages and answering questions. Please keep this in mind when bidding and leaving feedback and hopefully you are understanding. Just giving you a heads up on the lengthy delay to your shipment. Thanks for looking. Check out my other listings. I try to pick items I know people will benefit from. New/NOS/Pre own. Project items and more… Went picking and came across a very kool item. I don't usually pick these type of items but the patina and decorative art was astounding and caught my eyes. this haida indian shaman's charm has a unique combination of a beaver and dragonfly both key figures in their culture. please make sure your pay pal address matches your shipping address. I ... moreonly ship to pay pal addresses, if the item returns because your address isn’t correct, you will be responsible for the additional re-ship charges* Greetings, I started doing ebay as a side venture since I do have a full time job. My goal was to help provide for my daughter as I am a single parent. Please understand I am an amateur picker so ask questions before bidding. Look at the photos, research items online. I don’t offer local pick ups and I only ship to domestic usa unless otherwise stated. I work a full time job Monday through Friday so I may be slow to respond to emails. Please consider this when bidding. If there are multiple items pictured but only one item listed in the lot/listing; this means you are only getting the item listed and the other extra items in the photo(s) are not included. Please remember I don’t control the shipping time as I am not the shipping company. Typical rule of thumb since I’m in California is: 3 to 5 working days excluding weekends to the east coast on small items and 6 to 9 working days excluding weekends to the east coast on larger oversized items. Please look at the ebay shipping time listed on the item you are bidding on. Keep in mind.
1950's Vintage Almar Metal Arts Indian Chief Souvenir Ashtray!! Free Shipping!!!
Free Shipping! Despite some paint loss and corrosion in spots. This piece screams 1950's Western Tourism, white socks& bermuda shorts, and'50's station wagons and still displays great. This either came from when my folks drove west to Yellowstone, The Tetons, and The Snake River areas in 1952; or when my Dad was in Utah 1937-39. It's most likely pot metal and is marked on the bottom edge"The Almar Metal Arts Co. Point Marion, PA. and"N.B. about an inch to the right of that. It measures about 5 1/2" by 4 3/4" It's decorated with an Indian chief, a brave on a horse and three tepees on an open plain. The banner beneath the chief is blank; either the label fell off(I believe place names were painted on these, the ones I've seen- which run around $25) or it was never marked. This leaves it open to ... morecustomization and creativity. Also, it wouldn't take much to retouch the paint loss. Hate to part with it, but am downsizing to move back out West, ironically enough. Need to lighten my load, so this should make someone happy. Here ya go! Free shipping! Please note: Paypal only. Please. Price includes shipping. I charge no handling fees. I don't ship outside the U.S. Usual item processing time is 1 business day. All shipments are packed securely and come with tracking. Payment is expected at end of auction. Or at time of purchase, please. Prompt payments keep shipments on time. Late payments may experience delays. If you're a buyer& have an issue or a problem. Please contact me and I'll try to make it right: I want you to be happy and satisfied! NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN ANTIQUES & ARTS, PEABODY MUSEUM EXHIBITION CATALOG
Gifts of the Spirit. Works by Nineteenth Century& Contemporary Native American Artists” By Dan L. Monroe. Et al. Published in Salem by the Peabody Essex Museum in 1996. description continues below the picture- DISCUSSION: The Library Journal notes- The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. Massachusetts, has only recently made its notable holdings of American Indian art accessible to the public. The celebratory first exhibition also produced this permanent collection catalog. Masterworks were chosen by five curators(several of whom are well-known Native American literary figures) to show the affinity between 19th-century and modern artistic expression. While the works are superbly photographed, the text is less consistent, with some anecdotes more cogent than others. Attempts to unify dialog about artifacts from many cultures and all media vary, ... moredepending on the writer's point of view. Still, the book offers invaluable historical documentation. Most useful are the quotes and perspective based on Native thought, exemplifying a trend toward interpretation of Native art objects by Native Americans that is welcome. Although this is an important addition for specialized library collections, the rich range of text and images will also interest general readers wanting to know more about the arts within Indian culture. DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 8.5"x12" 239 pages, color and black& white illustrations, dust jacket. CONDITION NOTES: The dust jacket has some wear and soil(please see the photos. Above and below) The book itself has some minor soil, but otherwise is clean and nice, with a tight binding. OVERSEAS BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Our International shipping charges are based on the weight. When boxed for shipping, of each book-please check the postage chart for the cost of shipping to your country. We offer“combined shipping charges” for orders for more than one book–this often means the shipping cost for the books is less than it would have been if they had been purchased and shipped one at a time, so

New Indian Splint Manufacturing Company Rare OOP Book - Arts & Crafts Furniture
I am selling a hard to find softcover book. Indian Splint Manufacturing Co" Geneva, N.Y. It is brand new, but please note there is a small round price sticker to front cover as shown in photo. 44 pages. Too many black and white photos of their furniture to count, really unusual pieces of typical mission furniture forms, but created using galvanized steel straps and interwoven wood splints. Wedgwood Indian pattern Aesthetic Movement Christopher Dresser Arts & Crafts
This is a beautiful and extremely decorative polychrome transferware plate. Manufactured by Wedgwood and attributed to Christopher Dresser. From what I can find, the pattern, Indian, is rare when it is rendered in 4 colors on a white body. The registration of the colors is unbelievably precise and there are no signs of wear, or in fact use at all. It is in perfect original condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. It is marked on the back as shown. Along with the following: A 1300 F" in red, which I take to be a glaze color or number; 4AKF" impressed into the body of the plate; WEDGWOOD P( also impressed; and"S" printed in black. I am not a Wedgwood expert by any means, so I'm not certain what all these mean. Perhaps someone can share their knowledge? The plate measures 10 1/2" in diameter. And was first offered ... morein 1878, according to the label on the back. I have owned this for 25 years or more, and bought it from a dealer in Chicago who specialized in Aesthetic Movement pieces. He closed after only a few months in business, sadly, as I would have been one of his best customers! Please bid with confidence and aggression. This plate is guaranteed to be as described. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Good luck. And good bidding.

NATIVE AMERICAN & ESKIMO INDIAN ARTS & CRAFTS - RALPH T. COE COLLECTION
The Responsive Eye: Ralph T. Coe and the Collecting of American Indian Art” By Ralph T. Coe. Published in New York by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2003. description continues below the picture- DISCUSSION: Published in conjunction with the exhibition"The Responsive Eye: Ralph T. Coe and the Collecting of American Indian Art" Over the past three decades. Ralph T. Coe has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada to assemble this collection of Native American art, one of the finest in private hands today. Immersed in the cultures of Native America, he has come to know artists and artisans, traders, dealers, and shop proprietors, selecting the very best they have to offer. The Ralph T. Coe Collection includes representative pieces from most Native American geographic regions and historical periods, beginning ... morewith objects dating back to the fourth millennium B.C. Many examples-men's shirts with ermine fringe, weapons, and button blankets-evoke the heroic lifestyle of the past, while small objects, such as tipi and kayak models, dolls, and tiny moccasins, speak to a more intimate significance. Ritual objects imbued with spiritual meaning-masks and katsinas, tablitas and medicine bundles-as well as utilitarian objects, such as pottery and baskets, also have a strong presence. This catalogue tells the stories of nearly two hundred of these objects, combining art history with personal reminiscence, and reveals the role Coe has played in bringing about awareness of the artistic heritage of Native America. The preface notes- The principle of selection was to represent the traditional arts of the Native Americans north of the Rio Grande(except for Casas Grandes) And while concentrating on artistic values, to show modest objects that shed light on their culture as well as outstanding examples which are also here in abundance. In fact the exhibition extends beyond 2000 years, several works dating from 1500-1000 B.C. having been selected as a preamble, while the latest works were made by living artists within the last few years. ... moreIt includes many unique and superbly important pieces which may never be seen[in England] again. Mr Coe has included many categories of American Indian art which he feels are insufficiently known to the public, and has sometimes deliberately stressed these less familiar aspects" DESCRIPTION: Softcover. 9"x10.5" 252 pages, many black& white and some color illustrations.
