for auction is a wonderful hall tree or bench. more apt to be called a hall bench due to its size. this is a masculine piece or more fitting for a man's taste i would say. it is very heavy. Well constructed, thick, and strong. it has wonderful quartersaw oak used in its building. the hall bench is 48 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, and 78 inches tall. it is a true antique, built circa 1890-1910. it has a lift lid with three hinges and has a lot of storage space. as i said it is very well built and has no wiggles or wobbles. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay together. as far as i know it is all original, has great patina with a nutmeg color to it from age and wonderful and abundant quartersawn flake in the boards. the front feet have a spider like appearance to them, ... moresomething not seen often. it has lots of molding and trim all over it as well as a nice shell crest with neat carvings on either side of it. the mirror is probably original but has been resilvered. hall trees this size are hard to come by and are usually pretty pricy. i am starting this one for what i paid years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of benefit to anyone. good luck. i can supply more pictures should anyone desire to see something in more detail.

Red, royal blue and pale blue. The beads are sewn onto fine netting and some of the original brownish paper it was sold on is still attached- so it's definitely unused! It is, obviously, pretty heavy and as I don't know what else to say, I'll finish with- it measures 3+ yards- exactly 110 inches in length by 1/2 inch wide. Vintage Heavy Duty Fly or Centrepin Reels, wide spool, 4+ inch diameter
Vintage for Spares or Repair Two Heavy Duty Fly or Centrepin Reels This auction is for a pair of vintage.Heavy duty reels,i cant decide whether they were made for fly fishing or general centrepin work. They are both hefty.Heavy examples of probably 1950s reels. No manufacturers names although looking at the photo the left hand reel has a lozenge shaped logo on the back,maybe missing a makers sticker?and the initials AKW inscribed also upon the back. Both reels need a degree of attention. But in their most basic mode both reels turn with no apparent wobble and could be used today. The left hand reel has a 4 inch diameter spool and inner spool width is about 1 1/4 inches. Spool capacity is quite shallow. This reel has an on/off rachet(working) and an adjustable brake lever. This appears to be working although maybe not to its full capability? ... moreThere is also a sliding line guide. Which although present is broken. Internally things are pretty clean and the mechanics quite complex. The second reel has no markings upon it. This spins more freely than the first reel. However. It is missing its brake lever and also missing its adjustable drag mechanism. Internally it is clean. But as mentioned a bit bare of parts. It is 4 1/4 inches diameter.And has a 1 3/8 inch wide inner spool. Overall. An interesting pair of reels suitable for restoration. I offer a 14 day guarantee on the item. This is a Thomas Clark Signed American Brilliant Cut Glass Bowl It was made in the USA c1900. And is a rare item. It has an engraved script"Clark" in the center of the bowl that proved impossible to photograph Dimension(s) 9" ACROSS x 2 1/4" DEEP Condition: We do not see any cracks. Stains or repairs; note, there are a few typical rough spots and flat nicks to the teeth and on the outside beveled edges, quite minor really(one is shown in one of the last photos, and it is one of only two spots we could honestly ever find more than once) Also there is one tooth that seems flatter than the others. Caprice ,Cambridge glass Co.Crystal 13 1/2 inch 4 footed. bowl 10 inches wide
You are looking at a Caprice crystal bowl with two handles and four feet. This has no cracks. There is a scratch about half a inch in the center of this bowl and it has some other fine marks from being used. There is also a ding in the bottom side like if something would have hit it like a windshield if it got hit by a stone but this is only the size of a pen head. This could have been there from the factory. This is 13 1/2 inches long and 10 inches wide. This is in the Caprice Pattern from the Cambridge Glass Company 1940-1957. Please email any questions.
