DESCRIPTION This auction is for an early metal daisy or other flower basket doorstop. If I had to guess the age. I would guess pre-1900. It has been painted over, probably more than once. The mold has openings within the array flowers and are not white spots in the pictures. The back side of the mold is not flat and shows the casts of the flowers and basket. It stands 10" x 5-3/4" wide and weighs 5 pounds before packaging. It looks like it is marked on the bottom, but I'm not sure exactly what it says. It's either letters and a number or all numbers. I used steel wool on the back and bottom to locate the mark. Has had paint added. Some light surface rust. LOCAL PICKUP IS ALWAYS WELCOME. White spots or glare is from the camera flash. This lovely is 13" tall with original paint and a great looking old patina. It is not marked. But from the base, it looks to be a Hubley design. Very heavy of course. Great size, to use or display! The outer part I guess you could say is wrought iron– the inner container appears to be hand shaped and then tacked together– a magnet sticks to all parts of this. I’m also sure both the leaves and the roses were hand made. This stands 14 ½” tall to the top of the wire wrapped handle– is 14” to 15” wide or long– is 10” deep from front to back– and the base has a 4 ¼” diameter. The removable inner liner or container is 6” tall– measures 8 ¾” wide– and is 5 ¾” deep. Hi. Offered here is one. Very heavy, antique/vintage cast iron doorstop. Flower basket with multi colored flowers. There is an Angel with wings( might be a cherub) on the from of the basket. I did a little research and the Angel could be referred to as the Angel of Death. Paint does have some wear and tear. There is a glued on piece of green felt on the bottom and am pretty sure it is not original to the piece. I was unable to find a makers mark. My best guess is there might be one on the bottom of the piece. This might be a true collectors piece! If not, with as heavy as it is, it is going to keep pretty much any door open! Item has many, many more years left in it. Appears there are no breaks or repairs. Great vintage cast iron flower pot door stop. Colorful pastel paint with silver highlights has various spots where it is chipped or worn away. Some corrosion. But has a wonderful overall appearance. Weighs a hefty 5 lbs 3 ounces, stands approx 9.25 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide. Unknown maker as I do not see any markings at all. Vintage 1920's VANTINES Incense Burner FLOWER GIRL WITH BASKET OF ROSES No 1280
Hard to find Vantine Vantines incense burner. About 5 1/2" wide, 6" tall& 3 1/8" deep, made of a gold washed color pot metal, marked on the bottom with the Vantines(in cursive) signature, No. 1280, Made in France. The oblong stand has four tiny feet(one of which has the tip broken off) with an indented border decorated in roses. On top is a standing girl in flowing dress with a bouquet of roses tucked in one arm and an outstretched arm with a single bloom clutched in her hand. She has a typical flapper bob hair, and wears socks and shoes. Behind her is a suitcase or box, with some more flowers on top. Beside her is a oval woven basket, in which the incense is placed, with a removable vented lid that is a mass of rose blooms. In good used condition, with the broken tip of one foot as mentioned above, a couple places which ... moreare blunted-her nose and a spot on her chin(most probably from a drop)as she is very heavy for her size. The girl figure and the basket are mounted on the stand with screws. The incense burner has residue from use in the flower pot from burning incense, and the lid is in perfect condition.

2 Antique 1920s HUBLEY'Dew Flower Basket Urn' 1151 Painted CAST IRON DOORSTOPS, 2 ANTIQUE HUBLEY FLOWER BASKET DOORSTOPS Wonderful pair of matching antique cast iron floral doorstops. Each measuring about 7" tall by 5-1/2" wide. Featuring a charming basket overflowing with a variety of flowers and framed by a fence bracket with dome shape top. Marked 1151 on the back of each, these were made by Hubley- both bear the original cream paint which has darkened with age- condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or damage other than lots of scuffing to the raised flower edges, paint loss, and bite through rust and discoloration on the right bottom edge of one- does not detract a bit. I think these were designed as bookends- that's how I've been using them all these years- they are heavy, sturdy and ... morewill hold a large stack of books- I've also used them on a set of interior porch double doors.
