This silver plated beauty measures 9" from it`s four ornate clawed feet to the top of the spout and 9" from the widest part of the handle to the tip of the spout. The only flaw that it has is a little mark on the bottom where it says CRESCENT and the three markings which are a little faded. By looking up on the internet[ AMERICAN SILVER PLATE MARKS. There are strips of bright silver along the seam between the top and the bottom of the pot(difficult to see in the photos) It almost appears as if a repair was made at one point. But it is difficult for me to tell, even from the inside. Numerous scratches but no significant dings or dents. One of the feet is broken but the pot still sits level. Please see photos for a closer look. Measures approximately 10.5" tall and 8.5" spout tip to edge of handle The pot i tself is about 5.75" at its widest diameter. A n estate sale purchase from about 15 years ago. With the original intention of having it replated. I have had it di splayed in my formal living room for as many years. Beautiful EARLY Large copper + brass ewer with lid, excellent form, amazing size
This auction is for a beautiful antique copper and brass lidded ewer/water carrier. I purchaced this beautiful item out of a barn here in the Midcoast Maine area. Where it had clearly been stored and sitting for quite some time. This ewer measures 12-13 inches tall from base to the tip of the lid(the handle adds about 2-3 inches in height) 8 inches in diamater at the base, and about 10 inches in diameter at its widest point. This beautiful ewer has all the markings of being a wonderful early piece. It has a simple yet elegant design and form. The base appears to have been made to possibly sit within a brazier for warming. The condition of this piece is very solid for its age. It appears that there may have been some early work done on re-sealing the bottom of the ewer at one point in its history. The ewer only shows light dents and scuffs ... moreappropriate to its age otherwise. The seams appear to be watertight upon visual inspection. But I have not tested them any other way. Please refer to the images, or feel free to ask more questions for clarification. The ewer has a nice early construction seam down the back and clear turn marks and hammer marks throughout giving some indication of the age of its construction. I would estimate that the piece is turn of the century. 1900 or so in construction. The owners of the piece previous to me stated that they had believed it to be of Turkish or Persian origin, but there are no stamps or maker marks on the piece to give clear indication. Its design suggests Turkish/Ottoman revival, but I cannot be sure. I am starting this beautiful oversized ewer off at what I believe to be a low/fair price and with no reserve. You are bidding on a pair spelter urns. Most likely from late 18th or early 19th century. The urns. Ewers, pitchers looks like French origin, or may be from Ansonia Clock Co, I am not sure about it. Lots of patina. And looks to be original finish on the metal parts. Appx 17 inch tall, and 5-1/2 inch wide. It seems that one of the urns has repair on rear feet, slightly off balance, but holding good, shown in the last picture. Hard to notice, other wise good condition. Usual wear and nicks with age. Welcome to my auction. I am not an expert. I found this at an estate sale and am drawing my information from research. This wonderful piece measures approximately 15 1/8" at it's tallest point 6 3/4" at the widest tip to tip of the base 6 1/8" from the handle to the spout and about 5 1/8" at the center. I believe this is an antique ewer from the mid to late 1800's. It has beautiful ormolu decoration with a cherub on the face of the spout and acanthus leaves on the base. Amid the rest of the scroll and floral detail. I believe it to be brass or perhaps a combination of brass and other metals. And it weighs a heavy 3 1/2 pounds.

Another heavy embossed gargoyle Is under the lip of the spout and another is on the upper handle. Stunning painted roses adorn this Victorian beauty. Antique Art Nouveau Ewer With Cherubs And Cool Face Near Spout
Nice art nouveau ewer. I believe it is spelter- if its bronze. You win. There are a pair of cherubs on each side- one with a horn and the other with a lute( On the underside of the spout, there is a face- not sure if this is Poseidon, but it is pretty cool. The ewer is 10.75" at its highest point, about 6" from handle to spout at its widest and 3.375" wide at the base. There is a separation between the top part of the handle and the back of the spout portion as shown in the picture. There also appears to be some metal missing near the base, which i think someone filled in with wax. Not sure if the hole goes through as it looks like someone tried to perform a repair on the inside. Art Nouveau Girl with Swan Silvered Bronze Ewer A lovely young maiden is cast as the handle of this lovely little ewer. She gazes back at a beautiful swan.gliding through lilypads. Although it was originally"silvered" Only traces are still visible, but the bronze retains a fine patina! A small indentation on the lower rim appears to be a manufacturing issue and is not visible from above. Under the base the numerals 425 are impressed. Holes necessary for the manufacturing process are cleverly hidden in the back(see pictures) The vase exceeds the 600 gram capacity of my scale.not sure exactly how much it weighs, but it is heavy for its size and is just over 6 1/4" in height. Very Rare--Antique very old Metal Spelter Decorative Faux Ewer
Beautifully painted and finished in brass. It measures 15 1/2" tall. Is in very good condition. 3 of the leaves on the bottom of the pitcher, just above the base, are missing but not noticeable. No dents or dings. I believe this is made between 1850 to 1899 and it is made in france but I can not confirm it. This ewer looks beautiful and will add a nice antique to your collection. This is a beautiful old large french Victorian hand painted ewer/urn decor piece. The body of the ewer is all a very well executed limoge style hand painted floral motif on glass or porcelain. The ornate sculpted metal used in making this piece is very solid and heavy. But is undetermined, possibly a bronze or gold gild over cast iron/metal? There are four mythical facial figures surrounding the base. As shown in pics) The base shows some signs of discoloration and wear. The gilt-copper mounts in the form of a dragon-shaped handle and makara(mythical water creature) spout are also Nepalese in style. The jug may have been made in Nepal or by a Nepalese craftsman in Tibet for a Tibetan patron. This vessel was most likely filled with wine during a libation ceremony to trick the evil spirits. Neither the monks of an established church or the holier Llamas of the other sects may drink any spirituous liquor. However they would offer it as libations to the devil to get him drunk. Large Repoussé Gilt Copper Ewer Rococo Style with Napoleon III 1854 Gold Coin
Superb decorative piece depicts two classical allegorical scenes of Rococo cherubs. Holding grapes and a cross with two allegorical faces under the cartouche, a large Satyr face in front, a female face with plumed headdress at the spout and an elaborate handle of acanthus leaves. Chased details of acanthus, applied grape garland fill the entire body and neck of the pitcher. On the bottom there is a 20 Franc 1854 God Coin Napoleon III. The patina is gorgeous with copper showing on the repoussé. Gold and few darker metal spots on the bottom. A dent on one of the cherub cartouche gives it more character. The spout has a bend showing the gilt and copper sheet used to repoussé the piece. I am not an expert in metals. Antique Victorian Mantle Ewer Pitcher, 3-D Lady Head, Heavy weight over 2lbs
This a Victorian style mantle ewer. Pitcher. It has great 3-D detail. The weight of it is a little over 2 pounds. It is a very heavy piece. I can not determine the age of this piece nor the material it is made up of. I am not sure if it is bronze, titanium, pewter, silver coated by some other material. I took a magnet to it and it would only attach to the bottom of the piece, and that may have only been because of the screw in it, because it did not stick to the rest of the piece. It has a beautiful lady on the with a pearl necklace around her neck on the handle of the ewer. It is 12 inches tall. It is for decoration only. It does need to be cleaned, and polished. Since I was unsure of the material used to make this piece, I did not try to clean.

Vintage solid brass etched feather Eastern India jug vessel ewer pitcher teapot
Here is an interesting decorative Eastern piece. This vessel stands 12" tall and 7" in diameter at the widest point. It solid brass and weighs 2 lbs 9.5 oz. It is in very good overall condition. The lid does not snug down tightly as seen in the pics. It does not bear a maker's touch-mark that I can find. I am told this is of Eastern Indian origin. It has a beautifully detailed etched Peacock Feather type design all over.

A Beautifully ornate French Antique Figural Ewer with Dragon handle and Figure of a Lady or Cherub with ornate designs throughout. The base is a solid piece of marble. The piece is approximately 17 inches tall and quite heavy. Material is non magnetic. I believe it to be spelter as it is heavy as bronze but the finish doesn't appear to be bronze but rather a finished non ferrous material.
