No Reserve! This is a beautiful antique heavy metal sculpture made by Jenning Brothers in the form a hunting dog with a rabbit in his mouth. Jenning Brothers was founded in Bridgeport. Connecticut in 1890 and continued production through the early 1950s. They are known for their highly detailed and lifelike sculptures as well as Art Nouveau designs. Although this piece is heavy and looks like bronze, it is probably not as Jenning Bros often used a spelter or other metal and colored it to look like bronze. Really doesn't matter ~ the piece is still gorgeous! This lovely old piece measures 5-1/4" long and stands 3-1/2" tall. It is clearly signed on the inside of one leg"JB 1619" and is in perfect condition with no breaks or damage and has a marvelous patina. You'll love it! Thanks for looking!

Exquisite antique vintage 1920's Art Deco French sculpture by L. Bruns. This is an old original NOT a reproduction. Beautiful subject of a young girl and dog which was originally cold painted silver. You can still see traces of the silver paint in the crevices(my photos turned out golden in color but there is no gold color to the figures at all they have aged to a soft grayish patina) The sculpture rests on a beautiful black and butterscotch marble base that is 1 1/2" high. There have been no repairs or flaws to this lovely piece. It measures approx. 22" long by 9 1/2" high by 6" deep, the figures measure 20" long. This bronze is in the manner of Christophe Fratin(1801- 1864) Well known French animal sculptor. Reason for stating'manner of' is because I have not been able to find exact bronze sale record even though it a ppears to be a 19th century casting and subject is common to the artist. Last photo shows a monkey bronze by Fratin with many common elements such as a larger and smaller animal. Basket on the back, lantern, stick in the hand. Larger dog is wearing aristocrat jacket/ shirt and is Bronze offered for sale may have been a study as it is made of many pieces and was not cast at once. Bronze is not visibly marked. There is an area along the border shown in the next to the last where it looks like it could be a signature. This auction is for this Magnificent Metal Sculpture Figurine Child with DOG. I don't know much about this piece. My grandmother received it as a gift many years ago. It is signed on the bottom but its hard to make out, it might say"Hunter" The leash on the dog is made of metal wire. This Gem measures approximately 6 1/4 high and 4 inches long. It is very heavy solid piece. It would look very cool in a modern shelf on a bookshelf, at the office on a desk, really anywheres you can imagine. Its definitely a conversation started. It has an old re-soldered repair to the tie of the tail. A small spot of corrosion on the plinth, small typical indentations, light glaze and surface scratches and scuffing throughout, as well as other signs of light wear consistent with age. Albion Antiek Bronze French Bulldog Signed Antique 1920/30's German Art Deco Sculpture Offered here is a fantastic original antique art deco large(life size) bronze sculpture of a French Bulldog. This magnificent piece is signed by Hans Panzer ca. 1920-30. Hans Panzer(1892-1964) was a student of Theodor Kärner. One of Germany's most important animal sculptors of the 20th. century. Panzer, a successful sculptor in his own right. Taught at the Munich school of Arts(Hans Achtziger was one of his students) This beautiful patinated bronze is mounted to a marble base and is very heavy. It measures 13-1/4" high in total(33,5 cm) and 7" wide at the widest(17,8 cm) Condition is very good. There is one small scuff in the bronze behind the dog's ear(see close-up picture) and the marble base shows some wear and chipping along ... morethe base edges and corners(The marble base could be replaced by a new marble base) One the back of the marble base you can see 4 small holes where once a small plaque was attached, probably removed by the original owner for privacy reasons when it was sold in the past. Antique FRENCH Bronze BULL MASTIFF BULLDOG Statue Dog Sculpture LECOURTIER
I have a wonderful Bronze dog sculpture signed LECOURTIER. Prosper Lecourtier(1855-1924) was born in France and is best known for his sculpture of dogs. Although his work encompasses all forms of animals. I have seen similar sculptures by Lecourtier which refer to this breed of dog as either a Bull Mastiff or Bulldog. I feel that this is most probably a BULL MASTIFF. I have not found another example of this particular sculpture, which represents a dog in a playful stance with his ball. Therefore I believe this piece is not only impressive but rare. It measures 5 1/2 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches tall at the tallest part. This piece is in excellent condition other than a small dent along the base which does not detract from its overall appearance. The bronze appears to be in original condition.
