Offered at auction is this great piece of late 19th century culture! This piece was in my aunt's possession and displayed in her house until she passed one year ago at the age of ninety-four. She always told me that when she was a child she remembered seeing her father use it to remove his work boots before he would enter the house after working on his farm in Atwater. Ohio. After doing some research, I believe it is called a"Naughty Nellie" boot jack. It is cast iron and measures 10 3/4" in length and 5" in width. It appears to have been painted in a glossy black with accents of red on her hat, lips, belt and boots. Other than paint ware, I see very little, if any, rust even on the back side. Really cool rusted iron black cat taken(NOT stolen) from the top of a fence. It's about 16 inches long tail to head. The tail is about 11 inches to the ground and the head about 8 inches. I have for sale a genuine antique Dachshund boot scraper. It is made of heavy cast iron—as one piece. Not two pieces held together by a screw. The dimensions are: 16" long. 6 1/4" wide, and 6" tall. The blade on the back is 8" long. All the features including the face. Muscles, and the tail, are well defined/carved. The patina and the old flaking paint suggests that it's a very old piece. This is a hard to find item. That is in very good vintage condition structurally. Thanks for looking!

This is a matched pair of solid cast iron boot scrapers. Each has raised design identical on both sides. Aside from the myriad experiences in their antiquity and the grime and accumulation over their years they are. To my eye in beautiful condition with no chips, breaks or cracks of any kind. They are solid cast iron each weighing approx 4 lbs. There are traces of degraded old paint which in some areas tend to obscure the design and make them less sharp. A cleaning bath will surely remedy this condition. I have done nothing to clean them as many purists prefer them in as found condition. The only wear associated with these is a polished appearance at the very edges where hundreds if not thousands of boot scrapes have polished the cast iron which ads to their character. The antennae are slightly different in width. Too, perhaps to fit different size boots? But the difference, again, is small: 4.25" vs. 4.5" I think of them as: One male and one female! It is possible that one is an actual antique and the other a reproduction.but I am not sure. And if one is a reproduction I am sure it was done a long time ago as we have had these in the house since the 1950's. One. ANTIQUE CAST IRON LARGE LYRE HARP BOOT SCRAPER WITH MUD PAN This very old large cast iron boot scraper was found in an estate in central Virginia. It measures 11-1/2" long x 9-1/4" wide x 7-1/2" tall and weighs 8 lbs. It features a lyre design with a 4-1/2" wide scraper bar. A 1-1/2" deep oval mud pan with fluted sides, and four 1/2" long feet. The feet are evenly worn so it sits level and steady on any flat surface. It remains in very good condition showing general wear and remnants of old black paint. It is signed VM on the bottom. I debated about removing the green moss but I like the way it looks without any restoration and you also might like it that way. There is some rust but it is very light. There are no cracks. This little guy is very solid. He weighs 26 pounds. He is 21" long and 7" wide. He has a wonderful expression on his face and I believe he could hold a door open in a hurricane.

These are VERY collectable and I haven’t seen this particular model before besides this one. The Bootjack is in good condition. FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. The surface finish is 100% original- there are no cracks. Chips, breaks of any kind other than any stated. 10” long x 4 1/8” wide.
