Victorian Relief Cast Gilt Bronze Brass Box Old Testament Figures
This is an old and very beautiful heavy cast relief box with religious figures. The ornamentation is very well done and the arches suggest a Gothic Revival influence. There are Tudor rose and fleur de lis details as well as robed religious(old Testament) figure.There is a lock but no key. The interior is lined with blue velvet although there is no lining to the inside of the lid. The piece is in very good condition for its age. No markings were found. Weight is about 3 pounds and measures 6 inches by 3 and 1/4 by 3 inches tall. Please email with any questions.

It came out of a great upstate New York 1800's estate. There are no cracks, damage, or repairs. It has a nice patina consistent with it's old age. FINE BRONZE VICTORIAN CALLING CARD TRAY INSECT & FLORAL BAS RELIEF
This is a high quality cast Victorian footed tray with the delicate bas relief of insects and flowers. The vertical handle in a classic oval leaf form finial. The tray measures about 8 1/2" W x 9" H at the finial. The surface has not been polished and has an older natural soft patina, no scratches or dents. ITEM: Antique 19th C French Bronze Box Casket Medieval Relief Patina This 5 1/4” L X 4 3/8” W X 2 3/4” H solid bronze antique box ... moreor casket is richly covered in medieval-themed relief sculpture. The two sides of the width. The two sides of the length, and the cover have genre scenes in relief within a barley twist frame reserve. Each of the sides has a split scene divided by a barley twist column. The reserves on all four sides have a gallery of rosettes above, and rosettes and curlicues below. The reserved scene on the cover is surrounded by an alternating ball-on-arch(Gothic) pattern. All surfaces have been considered for rich attributes, including the inside and outside of the cover’s edge. The box sits on 4 little bracket feet. The top is hinged on the outside on the two back corners of box, and is in excellent working order. The inside and underside of cover is lined with what appears to be mahogany. The surface of entire box has a deep back/umber patina, with a few highlights on some of the high relief surfaces, especially on the top. This bronze box appears to be in great shape. This is a really unusual cast relief very old plaque. It looks to be from the Victorian era not sure if it's 19th or 20th century. I have taken pictures close up so you can see the detail and fancy embellishments and ornamentation. It is quite lovely. it is either bronze. Brass or copper with a green patina in places.
