Very nice impressive size measuring approximately. 10 1/4" across, 6 3/4" wide and 6 3/4" tall. Charming Rococo style. Central is an adorable Mermaid/Cherub/Putto arising from a pink. Ruffled petal, holding a shell above her head. Flanked on either side by an inkwell and another"well" meant to hold a drying substance to sprinkle on the newly composed missives. The front quill/pen holder part is a large scalloped shell embellished with a bouquet of flowers. The"vessel" holding the drying substance has a"butterfly" finial/handle. The base is curvaceous with gold detail. In remarkably good antique condition. The colors are bright and vibrant. No chips or stains. Minor paint loss commensurate with age. There are two firing cracks on the front"pen shell" And one small hairline on the left side which I believe occurred during the firing, since it appears to be an extension of the firing flaw. I think the cover of the inkwell originally had a small finial, but is not distracting. This really is an exceptional Inkwell- quite unique and even rare. An objet de vertu! Thank you for stopping! A nice inkwell made of bronze from the turn of the century France probably since the figure is a young girl from Bretagne/ France according to the sticker from the bottom. Inkwell is about 9 inches long and 6-1/4 inches tall. A very nice piece No dents. Glass insert is missing and girl could use a better screw to make here more tight.

Tiffany Studios bronze large octagon shape inkwell in the Abalone pattern. The four large side panels are each decorated with a central medallion of eight abalone discs set within a leaf and vine design which is surrounded by a framed border. The lid is decorated with a matching design. The narrow sides have a coordinating design of a scrolling tendril decoration within a framed border. In the original gold dore' finish with nice original polychrome highlights. Signed on the bottom TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 1157. In very good condition. All forty abalone discs are firmly attached, the inkwell with only light signs of use, the clear glass ink insert with only minor roughness to inside edge. Antique English Bronze Inkwell - Cauldron, Crossed Pens & Wedgwood Plaque c.1860
A really unusual inkwell in beautifully polished bronze. Having been professionally re-polished to gleam, by my silversmith. The inkwell is actually in the form of a Cauldron supported by three crossed dip pens appearing like a campfire. Underneath in the centre of the base, is a set classical Wedgwood or Jasperware plaque. The inkwell contains a removable glass liner, for easy refilling and cleaning. A handsome and most unusual piece with a base diameter measuring 6 1/2" x 7" tall. A few minuscule dints, insignificant and mentioned purely for accuracy. Excellent condition. 19th CENTURY VIENNA BRONZE TURKISH SOLDIER& DRUM INKWELL ON MARBLE BASE W/ ORIGINAL PORCELAIN INSERT Measures approximately 4 ¾” high by 4 11/16” wide by 3 ¼” deep Excellent original condition. The porcelain insert has been broken but re-glued. The inkwell lid– which is the top of the drum– appears to have been re-attached but was done extremely well. Do not see any marks or signatures One nice eBayer has written to say that this figurine is actually a"Zouave" a French Arab of the First World War. So. It may or may not be Orientalist, but you look at the photos and make a determination for yourself. It's quite a beautiful piece either way.

This Vienna Bronze from the former sample stock of the Bergmann factory in Vienna was created around 1920. It shows a quite popular erotic subject at the time. Depicting an oriental scenery. On a polychrome painted carpet the inkwell(with a glass recipient) is hidden underneath a decorated pillow that works as a lid. Further a young woman is sitting on a bench. Covering her nakedness with green draped sheet, accompanied by a man in oriental cloths. The figure is made of cold-painted white metal which was used as a surrogate material in the first years of the Vienna Bronzes as well as between the two world wars when bronze was needed otherwise.This inkwell is in good condition indicating only minor signs of age and wear. An absolutely stunning inkwell and an unusual find too. The cut glass inkwell is made from iridescent glass showcasing an array of colours and sits in a brass base. The collar and lid of the inkwell is also made from polished brass. On top of this sits a wonderful Austrian Cold Painted Bronze bird in flight. Perhaps a Kingfisher? Antique cast bronze renaissance style inkwell 19th century
This cast bronze inkwell is done in the Renaissance Revival style. It is decorated with horns and other musical instruments. The cover to the well is decorated with acanthus leaves. It has an attached gallery on the back. It is 10 ½ inches long. 7 ½ inches deep and 3 ¼ inches high. It is likely French and dates circa 1880. It does not have a well insert. There is some polish residue on the inkwell. There is also a couple of spots that are brown, possibly from a stain.

This lovely Champleve creation is make through a remarkable process- the bronze metal is heated and stamped to create a pattern with little pockets. The pockets of bronze are then filled with enamel flakes. It is then heated and the enamel melts to a remarkable richness and depth of colour that is remiscent of stained glass.
