The vintage Cupid brass figure is approximately 8 1/2 inches tall and the lamp with the shade stands around 18 inches tall. It is on a solid marble base. My estimate for the figure and base is around the 1930s and it has a French look to it. The beautiful thing is that it has been rewired professionally. So no worries about the wiring. Also, the shade is newer and looks pretty nice, but the statue is exquisite 1930s beauty. It has excellent detail like a great sculpture. It has its original patina. Nothing on the statue is broken, cracked. The nose has a bit of wear like somebody was rubbing it, but that makes it charming. I tried to capture the nose in the photographs. This is a smaller lamp. So please consider the size of 9 inches is. The size of the statue. Again, this is quality. I purchased this from an estate. The house was way over $1 million. I like the shade, but it isn't original to the lamp. This lamp would look beautiful with an antique shade in my opinion. So please examine the pictures carefully because what you see in the pictures and what I describe will be better than what you see in the pictures and what I describe when it arrives. It measures approx 2-1/2 inches wide and about 5 inches tall. the figure is unmounted. There is a pin in the right foot and the let hand for mounting on a base. A very grand ornate pedestal centerpiece bowl! It's large with the base measuring 12" across and it stands 15" high. The bowl is real crystal. Not glass. The bowl has no cracks or chips. This piece is heavy. The whole piece weighs 15 lbs. There are some discoloration on the cherubs, this is to be expected for the age. The crystal prisms are intact, Not sure if the prisms go in each leave, but this piece has every other leave has a crystal, it is the way I purchased it. Great design with 3 cherubs just sitting on the base, Not sure if they are to move, but they do. Maybe not screwed in tight. I could not find any markings on this. I am unsure of the origin. They measure 19 ¼ inches or 49 cm high. And are 7 inches or 18 cm at their widest. The candelabra feature 3 round feet with acanthus leaves above it. The legs are reeded with an open work design connecting them to the center standard. The arms of the candelabra are arched and stem from a central amphora form. There are three arms and candle cups on each candelabra and connected by multiple draping chains hanging from the cherub finials hands. This is about 4 5/8' tall x 14.5' across handle tip to tip and the dish itself is about 9.5' across. This is sturdy. Nice and thick& heavy yet still graceful. This is tarnished in some area and long ago it was polished but a patina is starting to form on this so we will leave the surface alone and let the next owners do as they please. This is from a smoke free home. NEVER abused the details and fine art work look very nice and we would rate this a 9 out of 1O as to overall condition. There are no real dings. Chips, nicks or repairs and it has normal were and tear for something around 135 yrs old or so. Shipping is Worldwide and based on where it is headed. The process of bringing a bronze sculpture to life using the lost-wax ... moremethod is something you'll appreciate after taking this tour- Enjoy. Here Artist original clay sculpture is nearly ready for the foundry. Note the artist is still adding the finishing touches. Most sculptors prefer to work with clay or wax; some however. Do use wood and other mediums. Here the finished original clay is now complete. The sculptor will take it to the foundry now, get a bid then begin the first stages of the lost wax process. The first step can be shocking for some as they begin to decide how this original will be cut up. In order to prepare the original clay sculpture for molding. It will be dissected by cutting the clay with wire and by cutting the armature with a saw. The armature is what helped support the clay in place while the artist was creating it. Note the registration marks which later in the process will serve to realign the parts. Shown here are the sections of the original clay sculpture after having been dissected. Now the various parts of the original are carefully mounted on clay plugs before the rubber mold material is applied. The clay plug later serves as a pour spout for the mold. Antique Small Covered Urn w/ 3 Bronze Dragons on Black Stand & Cherub Lid, Great
This is an absolutely fabulous older piece which dates back the the early turn of the century; early 1900's. The small urn portion by itself is a heavy black metal. The stand is a black metal as well. The piece is very well made. The ornaments, dragons and cherub, are bronze. The urn is in excellent condition, with no flaws whatsoever. Adorning the bowl of the urn are 3 winged dragons with clawed feet, which have a great attention to detail. The lid is beautifully made with a cherub standing on top, the angel is holding and playing a small harp or mandolin. None of these metal adornments are attracted by a magnet. The urn weighs about 4 pounds and stands just under 10 in with the lid on. The lid itself is just over 4 and a 1/2 in tall. When measured all the way around at the widest part, it was just about 14 in. This is a wonderful piece ... moreof metal sculpture, very different, and quite beautiful. I haven't seen an urn as nice as this one before, the way it was made, and how it was made. The smaller size of it makes it very desirable as does the exceptional condition it presents itself in. Up for auction is a superb antique French Empire figural bronze bowl in the form of a seashell chariot lead by a swan with a winged cupid at the helm. Beautiful detail. There are raised flowers and rays inside the bowl. Twisted rope reins, figural gnarled branch foot, and acanthus leaf skirt. It is in very good condition with normal signs of age. Deponirt" old writing form of"deponiert" is a term used in Germany. Switzerland and Austria. It is based on the French"deposer" to deposit" and states that the item had been locally registered(at a civil court or such in the region in which the manufacturer resided) Such a marking says nothing about the manufacturer. And does not identify which of the three countries the item was made.

Up for auction is a wonderful little vintage antique? brass or bronze cherub decorated miniature wall pocket recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is only 5.5" but quite heavy and solid. The cherub has wings and an older face than per usual. A great design. Lovely with or without anything in the pocket. We do not know if it is brass or bronze as both can have the green patina. This may have been for used matches in a smoking room or toothpicks in a dining room or for flowers in a porch or sun room. A lovely little vintage antique accent, not a reproduction. There are no makers marks nor numbers to be found. This shows signs of having been cleaned several times in its lifetime but still wonderful patina. Please see the flattened nose, a different look than per usual on a cherub. Antique Armor Bronze Nude Cherub candle holders and matching table bowl
Up for bid is an extremely rare matching set of candle holders and table bowl. My grandmother bought this set new in 1918/19 while visiting NY city and upon her passing my mother inherited the set which we in turn inherited in 1981 along with it's family history. When we liquidated my mothers estate in 1981 I was offered to put the set on consignment in a Palm Beach. Fl antique store for $950.00 of which the store would get 55% needless to say I declined so I feel that my opening bid price is fair and reasonalbe. Antique French Empire Gold Gilt Ormolu Bronze Marble Cherub Statue Figurine
Up for auction is a beautiful antique 19th century French bronze ormolu cherub mounted to a marble base. This would have probably gone onto a lamp base or casket box. There are two exposed screws on the bottom of the marble. Very fine. Exquisite detail, down to the individual feathers and floral headband. Winged cupid is playing an aulos. In very good condition with one half of the double pipe is missing, looks like a stress fracture to the wing which does not appear to go all the way around, repair to the marble on the back side. A beautiful ornate decorative Brass or Bronze urn. It is 12" tall and weighs 2 lbs 9 ounces. It is in very good condition and has not been cleaned. I am not sure of its age. The 1st photo was taken outside to give the best representation. The 2nd photo is of the inside bottom and it appears to be made of Bronze. I am not sure of the age but it is made well and looks to be older. I could find no identifying marks on this piece.

This is a stunning antique ornate Victorian gold gilded solid bronze cherub centerpiece compote bowl. it is made from solid bronze and is a very heavy piece. the finish is gilded in gold and has acquired a lovely patina from age. the base is made from three trumpet playing cherubs sitting on an ornate ring holding the bowl with their heads. there is also a flame finial on the center of the bowl underneath. the bowl is pretty large and is equally as ornate with a heavily embossed floral rim. the piece is in nice antique shape measuring 9 1/4 inches in diameter by 7 1/4 inches tall. Antique Nouveau Pairpoint SPELTER CHERUB PEDESTAL Bronze Finish Marble Base
Up for auction is a beautiful. Art nouveau, Pairpoint statue. It measures 8 inches high and 4 inches wide. This statue includes a spelter, with bronze finish, cherub pedestal, with a dental embellished work, on spelter and marble base. The cherub is holding an open holder that's decorated with a fruit and floral garland and swag decor. This holder would usually have a small, Pairpoint glass bowl. It would be easy enough to find another small glass bowl. The bottom has C1433 stamped on it. If you look at photo#6, you'll see a small chip on the corner of the marble based. Here are 2 matching urns. I have had these for some time now I bought them off a antique dealer. Unfortunately we knew very little about them. They are very heavy pieces. With a VERDE look. I believe them to be bronz possibly brass. Beautiful handles with O rings. The mouths of them look like 2 hearts put together. They have a cherub blowing a horn on one side and a scene of a couple with an angel behind them. I think the scene is Greek gods but could be french? Standing 19' tall(1ft 7' 5' by 4' at the mouth and 5 1/2' at the base. Green is the main color but there is some bronze as well. Old Napoleonic Gilt Bronze French Cherub Candlesticks

Old Napoleonic Gilt Bronze French Cherub Candlesticks Presented is an old pair of gilt bronze candlesticks made in France during the first quarter of the 1800s. Probably during the period of Napoleon. Each stem is in the form of a putti or cherub boy standing on a pedestal, holding the bobeche or sockle for the candle. The figure is beautifully crafted and there is fabulous detail to the designs engraved along both pieces. The border of the base is engraved with a lovely, repeated line and circle pattern. These candlesticks have been electrified and one of them has to be re-wired. There are solder marks on the putti's backs, but this is because loops were soldered there to hide and secure the wires. The heat from the soldering has caused some loss to the gilding on ... morethe cherub figures. Since these candlesticks disassemble into six pieces each, it would be quite possible to easily regild the cherubs These candlesticks are in good condition. Especially considering their approximately 200 years of age. The gilding has some minor imperfections other than the cherub. A hole has been drilled in the top sockle and to the wax drip underneath to accommodate the electrical wire. Good overall condition from a true pair of French Regency candlesticks. Each candlestick or lamp measures 10 1/4 inches tall. The height of the bronze. By itself, is 8 1/8 inches. Good luck and bid with confidence. The rare Art Deco bronze spelter(bronze clad) bookends are a perfect example of the early beginnings of the Art Deco movement. Each piece has sharp. Clean, and intricately detailed lines. The craftsmanship of the child's expression and form is impeccably lifelike and angelic. The patina of the bookends is in excellent pre-owned condition with only a minor chip to one of the pieces. The bookends are stamped on the back with the Art Bronz/KBW insignia. Based on our research, they date back to 1910-1916. Presented is a heavy cast bronze sculpture of a cherub riding a dolphin by Sylvain Kinsburger. This piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The figures are done in a beautiful and realistic style. Full of detail and expression. The sculpture is in great condition except for a small blemish on the cherub’s forehead(see picture) A copper tube inside supplies water to the dolphin’s mouth. The patina is wonderful! Antique Round Bronze Plaque Cherub 1750 -1800?
I purchased this years ago at an auction. It was represented as a bronze from the 1700-1800's from England. I do not make any claims as to its exact age or official origin. Other than to say it is probably from Europe. It is a beautiful piece that measures about 8.5" round and has a depth of about 1.75" The cherubs are beautiful and I have received many compliments on this item. There is writing on the back that is very aged that says"Bronze plaque repouacee' decoration of 3 cherubs. England, Ca 1800. I do not see any makers mark but also would not know where to look for one. Its a very heavy piece for its size and shows little signs of wear. 100% feedback rating, bid with confidence. The cherubs are surrounded by a wood frame, that I would guess is cherry. This thing is old!
