The vase is substantial and heavy for its size, it measures 8 3/8" tall by app. 4 1/2" across widest part of body with a 2 1/8" diameter across opening. Beautiful naturally dark patina on the hammered bronze/brass alloy with remnants of the original wicker on the dove-tailed handle, which is now detachable due to the old lead having worn away. It does still fit snugly on the little copper pieces, which, along with the nice tinning on the inside make it fully functional. Antique Asian Ewer Teapot This pot is extremely detailed and Unique I believed it is made out of bronze. But I'm am not 100% and not familiar with these tea pots. There are colorful stones around the pot with one missing front left when facing the pot spout. Look at the pictures to see the detailed dragons and faces. I can't find a makers mark on this Teapot. I found this old piece at an estate sale a while back. I do not know too much about it other than it looks and feels really old. It is stamped in old Chinese on the bottom. Which also has a small hole present. It looks and feels to be cast iron, but it has a bronzed look as well. You can see from the pictures that there is a patina present in places. This is a lovely pair of rare bookends featuring an Asian boy and girl. Both bookends have the backplates formed as books. The girl is sitting against the book holding a book she is reading on her bent knees. The boy is kneeling. Has his elbows resting on the backplate with his head in his hands daydreaming. A wonderful old, original set. Each bookend stands 5 3/8" tall(4 3/8" for the girl) 3 1/4" long, 2 1/2" wide and weighs almost 2 lbs. 4 lbs. for the pair) They are in good condition with some finish loss and dings. They show beautifully. This set is more commonly seen in a cast metal, the bronze-clad version is very rare to find. These antique bookends were made using the much coveted and highly collectible bronze-clad method of production which utilized electricity via an electrode built into the plaster mold of the ... moresubject piece. There was a lot of preparation work involved. Bronze was then electroformed onto the plaster mold. This was extremely innovative in the early 1900’s. Unfortunately, it was also very costly for labor and materials. Some bookends could take as long as three days to be completed. Almost all of the companies went bankrupt. However, they created some of the most detailed and sought after bookends we have today. They're getting quite scarce to find in good condition since they are somewhat fragile.

I believe these water droppers are called suiteki. This particular one came from the estate of an elder gentleman who was an artist and collector. Therefore I have no history or real knowledge of it's true age or origin. It does have age and I know is at least over 50 years old. Asian but again not clear if it is from Japan or China. It is a lovely little object. A melon with intertwining vines and leaves with the stem as the pouring spout. It is not marked. The images really can explain best.
