When you push the head down. The arm raises to ring the bell. Size is 8" high x 4 3/4" wide at the top. It looks partially handmade. Face on both sides. Excellent condition. Brass Bell from the luxury Hotel Adlon in Berlin. Germany(1907-1945) Bell measures 6 inches tall. Base 4.25" in diameter. I could not find any maker marks on this item. The arm to ring the bell can be open or closed. Brass is textured and smooth. Spiral center. The sound is very lovely! The luxury Hotel Adlon opened in Berlin. Germany in 1907 and quickly became the social center of Berlin. It survived WWII but caught fire in 1945 and most of the luxury hotel was destroyed. Mid 1800's English Billy Goat Teacher - Hotel Bell - Brass & CI - Kite/Dia Mark
A rare Bell fresh from an estate sale. Was told this was a Teacher's Bell. But also could be a Hotel Counter Guest Bell. The Billy Goats are made of a Cast Iron with a partial gilding over it. The upper part is brass and has a slight tilt to it. It has a wonderful, clear sound to the Bell. It has 3 legs with 3 billy goats and fancy ornate open grill work between the goats. This has the Diamond or Kite mark on bottom of one leg, so am thinking this Bell was made in England and in the mid 1800's? There are no dents in the bell top or cracks or chips in the Cast Iron part. In overall EXCELLENT shape. The Bell stands 6" tall and is 4" deep and wide. This nice. Antique bell measures in at 8.75" in height by 3" in width. I don't know much about this item. It has engravings/etchings along the outside. They resemble claw-like markings. They are not uniform. India" is inscribed along the inner ridge. The handle is wooden, but the finish has been worn. I assume that the knocker is original. It works fine. S&H may be more if outside the continental U.S.

Offered is this Victorian era School Teacher's Brass Bell. This is a cast and tooled heavy brass bell with enameled wood handle and cast iron clapper. Stands 8 inches tall with a 4 5/8 inch diameter. There are chips where the handle connects to the bell. Handle holds securely and bell rings loudly. Please see pictures for further details.

ANTIQUE School Teachers BRASS BELL This bell is missing its handle. It is 5" tall x 3 1/2" diameter. The original striker is missing it has been replaced with a nut and wire. There is some greenish color on the outside top part. This could be paint but I am not sure. It weighs 14.8 ounces.
