This particular samovar was made in India ... moreprobably in the mid-to-late 20th century. I find it difficult to define the style so I'm calling it American Victorian, whatever that means. The pattern is relatively simple and clean. It looks more like a trophy than a samovar. It is in excellent condition and shows well. It is approximately 22" high and 13" wide from handle to handle. It weighs about 11 lbs. There are 3 clear hallmarks on the upper part of the base, and a paper tag on the lower surface of the base (see pictures).

Ellis-Barker Antique Victorian Tea/Coffee Silverplate Samovar/Urn England
This beautiful piece was manufactured by Ellis-Barker of Birmingham. England. Known as Barker-Ellis in the U.K. The menorah stamp on the bottom indicates that it was made between 1912 and 1932. There is no visible plate wear. Minor surface polishing scratches. There is a very small dent next to the vent hole on the top(see picture) Overall. This piece is in excellent condition. Spigot works without leakage. Measures 8" wide. 10" deep and 11.5" tall. All questions or requests for additional pictures are welcome. Antique Hallmarked Silver Samovar Set, Iranian, Persian, Teapot Urn Cup Tray
Antique Hallmarked Silver Samovar Set. Iranian, Persian, Teapot Urn Cup Tray Urn measures approximately 5 1/4"W x 5"D x 8"H with spigot. Teapot measures approximately 2 1/2"W x 4 1/4"D x 2 1/2"H. Cup measures approximately 3 1/2"W x 1 1/4"H. Tray measures approximately 5"W x 8"H. All pieces are made 0.875 silver with wood handles. Pieces are marked with an Iranian silver 84 Standard mark. All parts together weigh approximately 31.8 Troy Ounces with the wood included in the weight. Pieces are heavily decorated with detailed engravings. Some of the decorations include birds and flowers. Hammering marks are still visible on many of the parts. The hinge of the steam release"valve" is partly broken and can be seen in the eighth image above. Silver is very tarnished. But some parts were ... morepolished on the outside to show the beauty of the piece. The inside of the urn and pot are quite brilliant. Urn spigot appears to be in working order. Wood parts have lost their finish and appear to be stained. Samovar set has some dings, scratches and wear from use. Maker and age are unknown. We do not know if the samovar still works or not. This auction is for a wonderful tall antique brass samovar with the original tea pot. This samovar is quite rare due to the burner at the bottom which was only briefly popular near the turn of the century due to the risk of explosion. This is a very tall piece at approximately 21" x 10" and im great overall condition with only a few minor dents here and there. This Samovar would look stunning in your kitchem. Up for auction is a samovar that I assume is Russian. I'm not sure if its brass or copper.I know nothing about these items. It appears quite old. It does have a broken handle but appears to have the broken part as well as other parts.not sure what else if anything is needed to make it complete.may all be there. This is a wonderful antique(pre 1910 see patent dates in pictures) 6 cup tin-lined Copper Bodied Samover handcrafted by Manning Bowman& Co. has turned wood handles on sides and lid. And a beautiful brass spigot with a wooden handle. The copper has a fantastic patina with a rainbow hue. As noted above the burner unit is missing the fuel tank filler cover and the internal wick mechanism. The fuel tank has some small dents on the bottom, but is not visible when it is assembled. The rest of this piece is dent free and is a fantastic display piece for your collection. The assembled height is 14" and the base is 6 1/2" across. Antique Indian Copper Samovar Beautiful. Intricate Carved Design Up for auction is a beautifully carved/etched antique copper Indian samovar that appears to be hand-made. This samovar was silver plated at one time but most has worn off showing mostly copper. The carvings and etchings are magnificent and really reflects the craftsmanship put into the piece when it was made. The handle is solid and has a nice leaf/vine like design. It is also stamped India on the bottom. This is a large samovar that measure 15" tall and 12" across the widest section. The samovar does show it's age and is non-functional. Here we have what I THINK? is a vintage copper Samovar or a urn for tea/hot water. I do not think it is complete I think there is part of the spout missing( the part you would turn to get the water out) and also I am sure there was something on the top. A magnet does NOT stick to this. It looks to be copper or brass? I am not sure. This measures about 11 1/2" tall and about 8" from handle to handle. I do not know if this was just for decoration? Antique Manning Bowman Co. Samovar.This set was given to my dad years ago. This comes with 6 copper demitasse cups and also the copper tray. The samovar measures approx. 15" in height. Has the lid which is topped with glass and also the inside stem and basket. Parts of the spout and handles are brass. Each cup is copper with a handle and have porcelain Buffalo China inserts. Each cup with insert measures 2 1/2" One cup has hairline and one fleck on another. The serving tray is copper and measures 18" x 13" Patent dates on the bottom of the samovar are 1910, 1923,1935. This is an electric samovar. But. does not heat up. I do not know what is wrong with it, and do not know how to fix it, so that is up to buyer. There is a removable piece on the underside that houses a fuse and heating unit, so I assume that is what needs ... morerepair. The electric cord is unique for this piece and in good shape, and of course included. I have cleaned this the best I could, but it does need more polishing and reviving. Samovars are very traditional Russion vessels for heating and boiling water used primarily for the tea making and drinking. The name"samovar" comes from the Russian words for"self" and"boiling" and refers to the method of heating water with charcoal. The samovars were made in Russia from 1700s. This particular one was made in late 1890s- early 1900s. It was made by the factory of N.A.Vorontsov- a well-known factory foubded in 1860 in the city of Tula- the main samovar production region of Russia. The patent date on the brass plaque on the front is 1882. It is complete with the tinned inserts, which look like they are for tea, vast amounts of tea. It is lined with porcelain. The glass level indicators are both intact. It is extremely well made, more like a piece of engineering than kitchen ware, look at the quality of the brass fixtures in the close up pictures. I am happy to do local pickup on this piece because of the size and weight. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. SIZE: It is huge. It weighs 38 pounds(17Kg) and is approximately 28.5 inches tall. The lid is just over 10.75 inches diameter. That is a full size can of Coca Cola underneath the urn ... morein one of the pictures. To give a sense of scale. CONDITION: It is in as found condition. I have not cleaned it. If it was to be polished I suspect it would look stunning. This was my mother's mother's. And was used as a coffee pot in Denmark in the early 1900's, I believe. For the past approximately 60 years, it has been used only as a display. It is 13” high. Including the base that was used to hold coal. On the bottom of the pot it is stamped"2- 27- A" on three separate lines) The base is in perfect condition. The pot has a dent and little dings at the base. The lid has small cracks. And the handle is cracked at the bottom of the vertical piece. It is not perfect at close inspection, but it is a beautiful piece when sitting on a shelf.

Antique Trophy Style Copper And Brass Russian Samovar. Nice!!
Here we have an Antique Russian Samovar. This is a trophy style Samovar with a hand hammered copper urn attached to a brass base. I cannot find any markings on the Samovar to denote maker. We recently assisted a friend of the family relocate an elderly lady of Russian decent to assisted living and this is one of 2 Samovars we purchased from her. I am not an expert on such items so only relating what she told us about the item. She believes it is from the late 1800's. Either 1880's or 1890's. As I mentioned the urn itself appears to be made from hand hammered copper. The urn is mounted on a heavy brass footed base. Considering it's age, this Samovar is in very good condition. I have attached numerous photos for you to review and make determination of its condition for yourself. It's a NICE piece!
