But is actually a dark bronze hue.Only the skin areas of the figures are the natural copper color. The back of the tray has two copper loops that are welded on. Allowing a heavy wire to be used for hanging.The rim on the back side of the tray shows the impressions left from hand hammering. Tray can also be used as a unique table top. With Egyptian type hieroglyphs on the front and back of this cross. It is known as a"wearable" cross for the"highest person" of the Church in which it originates. It could also be a"handheld" type large cross, from the Church in which it originates. Its on its original chain, which is large, and can be worn around the neck. The cross measures 17" long x 6" wide. The chain is 1/2" thick, and is 16" long. I know this item to be at least 90+ years of age, but believe it is much older. It measures 24 inches overall height. 18 1/2 inches to the rests supporting the canes, the base measures 12 by 13 inches, the top is 10 1/2 inches across the 2 cane rests. It just has a few normal nicks and scratches from age here and there but nothing major. It looks to me like it is from the 1920-30s but it could be older. Very heavy for it's size. Antique Kathodian Bronze Works statue. Rare Egyptian female statue made by Kathodian Bronze Works of New York. The company produced figural art metal bronzes from roughly 1900-1916. Output consisted of sculpture and decorative pieces. Including bookends. This is bronze clad and marked on back“© KBW ART BRONZE” Too large to be a bookend so most likely created as a decorative object or doorstop. This measures 10-1/2' high and base measures 4-3/8' square. It is in good condition but with a dent in the back corner and a small part of the bronze cladding on the arm has come off(see last two photos) There are also a couple of age hairlines on the arms. Also, on one side of the base, there is a brownish patina that is different from the darken patina on the rest of the statue but d oes not detract from it. A necklace and belt crossing her back and buttocks. Small skirt in front. Outstretched arms hold a duck-shaped vessel, which would hold the perfume, to be burned. Clear signs that it was used. This auction is for a Vintage Art Deco Egyptian nude Goddess brass ash tray/ incense burner/ trinket tray. Nice bronze patina that accentuates the lovely sculptural design. Can be used as a trinket or vanity tray. Also to burn essential oils and smudge. The entire piece has loads of deco design elements including the ceremonial bird bowl. There is a manufacturers mark on the bottom of the bowl. Looks like a Y in a circle with something surrounding it. Could be the tree of life symbol. Made in Japan.
