It measures 8.5 x 3.5 x 5.5. There are two doors on the front, each with a long oval mirror. There's a large drawer underneath the doors, and inside there are two tray/shelves which are removable. There are some markings on the back of these shelves, as well as some pencil markings on the bottom of the piece. Please study all pictures closely, as I have tried to show all defects. This is a magnificent antique wardrobe/armoire/closet made by Gullachsens of Newcastle on Tyne. It is very large: 69" wide x 22" deep x 82.5" tall! The two side doors have a beautiful inlaid wood design. The center door has a full length beveled mirror. The left& center cabinet doors open to reveal a pole& hooks for hanging clothes. The right door opens to built in shelves. It has the original locks. But I do not have the key. I believe any skeleton key would work. It was made by Gullaschsen of Newcastle on Tyne in England. Impressive Louis XV mahogany armoire or wardrobe. This large piece has tons of storage space behind its three doors. Mirrors with bevelled edges and ornately carved wooden panels give this piece an amazing decorative look. A gracefully curved top is capped by an intricately carved finial. European Antique Pine Armoire Wardrobe TV Cabinet cir 19th Century dovetail jts
For your consideration is an antique country pine armoire that can function as a TV cabinet. Wardrobe or general storage. As functional as it is beautiful. It is very deep and holds A LOT. Also has a big bottom drawer for more storage. I purchased it in 2001 at an antiques store on Robertson Blvd(since closed or relocated) for more than $3,000. The seller identified it as made in the 1800’s. I believe it was refurbished with some reclaimed doors and new hinges(lock does not work) I included a photo of the top of the piece to show the dovetail joints(top is dusty) This is a beautiful piece that I purchased for much much more than I’m asking. Nice real antique pine is becoming harder to find these days. The finish would look even richer if a coat of Briwax were applied(anyone can do this) In fact, experts suggest regular waxing. These photo's ... moredo not do this justice; I'll try and upload better ones. An additional note: The Blue House on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica closed yesterday, June 28, after 37 years in business. They had a very similar armoire selling for $11,500 less the sale discount(40% I think) A couple minor fixes need to be made. 1) The hinge on one of the doors needs to be reset slightly as the door is very slightly off, meaning not exactly horizontal when closed(difference is so slight, one would probably not notice on sight, only when actually closing the door) I could do this myself in minutes(but I’m lazy) 2) There are a few scratches in the wood that need to be waxed– they are shown up close in the photos. 3) The lock does not work. Something new would have to be installed if you wanted it to lock. Dimensions: Height: 74-3/4” Width: 43” Depth: 25” I do not take returns but you are welcome to come look at the piece before buying. This oversized piece is extremely high quality, and remains in great condition. This piece features a full-length bevel glass mirror in the center door. Three hand-cut dovetail drawers on the bottom of the piece, and triple door access. This piece also has a beautiful cross-grain mahogany veneer with burl panel highlights. The bronze finished brass ormolu embellishment is completely intact. And the crest is crown molded with a brass cut out center. Antique vintage armoire wardrobe waterfall--closet cedar lined--5 drawers
A pre-owned armoire wardrobe with original casters- in the waterfall design from the art deco period. A metallic gold seal inside the top drawer reads Hooker Bassett Seal of Quality. Stenciled on the back is XO 30 ROBE. It is 36" wide x 60" tall x 20" deep. With inside closet measurements of 20" deep x 16-1/2" wide x 56" high. The drawers are dovetailed and four drawers are 15-1/4" x 14-3/4" x 8" deep. The fifth(top) drawer measures the same accept it is 6" deep. The mirrored top adds 6" to that side height measurement. Overall, the original casters add 2" to the height. They also make it easy to move. The knobs and pulls are of a white metal with marbleized pink thermoplastic decoration-celluloid or Catalin. Etc. It is a quality wardrobe in very good solid condition. There are very ... moresmall pieces of veneer missing mostly on the bottom. There is a tiny piece missing on the top edge of the third drawer down and a crease in the front of the second drawer from the top. The mirror has some small issues. Early American Country Furniture Antique Colonial Armoire Wardrobe Federal @1785
This Spectacular Early American Solid Plank Pine Armoire/Wardrobe is Circa 1785-1800 Of course this piece was all hand made. No doubt by an early American craftsman. It features thick solid pine plank construction.The armoire has tons of character marks and great patina, I restored the finish with a hand rubbed varnish to protect the wood and bring out the gorgeous graining and character marks. The early hand wrought iron nails are exposed.At the door frame front corner faces you can see the two hand made pegs at each corner. They secure the hand made mortise and tenon joinery of the door frames. The entire top has one solid plank of pine which is dovetailed with one large dovetail joint into the sides of the armoire.The blackened graining of the pine is natural and makes for beautiful highlights to the pine. The cornice detail which trims ... morethe cabinet top is superb. Another rare and excellent feature is the original hand made clothes hooks which swivel left& right. They are hand-pegged into their support piece. The whitewashed cabinet inside appears to be original. There are also a few tiny remnants of a linen/muslim cloth held by wrought nails inside the cabinet.It appears the cabinet was one lined with linen cloth. The iron lock is original, I had a period style key made,the key is solid brass which I painted to match the hardware.The lock and key work excellently. The hardware is reproduction period style iron hardware.This piece has many nicks. Dings and character marks in the wood, There is an exposed nail on the lower left front corner where a chip of wood has been missing for a long time, I like the fact you can see this nail, it adds tremendous character& history to this piece, I made no attempt to restore this area, I think it is unique! The doors have age related shrinkage gaps where the recessed panels meet the frame, this is to be expected with a such an old piece.The doors close well, I added magnetic catches to secure them. Lovely French Victorian Rosewood wardrobe armoire with a serpentine bevel cut glass mirror front door. With and arched carved crest with finial tops over pillar front column supports with carved top and base over a full size exterior drawer standing ring turned cylindrical feet. The inside is fitted with and interior drawer and is lined with a birds eye maple interior door wand either oak or chestnut interior walls. It is wonderfully made and has exquisite rodew2ood exterior wood grains. Overall size is 91" high and measures 42" wide by 20.5" in depth. All hand cut wood with hand cut dove tail ... morejoined drawer boxes. Original condition is very good with normal blemishes expected of a piece this old. There are two small trim pieces missing on the top right corner that go unnoticed unless pointed out but could be easily replaced if desired.
