There are two small dents in the base and a larger one in the side. Please see our photos below. The following five photos are of the two dents in the base or lowest part of the vase's side. The following three photos are all of the same dent in the side of the vase. Below is the photo of the small dent in the rim. This lovely Heintz Art Metal vase has the cylindrical form with rolled top or flange. It has a rather intricate Art Nouveau floral. Possibly iris, design that reminds us of some of the Tiffany windows. Otto Heintz patented his technique for applying sterling silver to his bronze pieces without any solder which is the 1912 patent date seen on much of his work. This vase measures a little more than 8 inches tall and it has a lovely mottled patina that will only get better with time. Consistent with Heintz numbering system, this vase has the production number 3591. Numbers between 3500 and 3800 were reserved for vases and single-weight bowls. Vintage 1911 Very Early Heintz Sterling on Bronze Arts and Crafts Art Deco Vase
A lovely vintage arts and crafts early Heintz bronze vase. Thick silver overlay design. Not marked as to maker but has the letters' K-X cuo' and vague numbers scratched into the bottom.Also marked sterling at the base of the tree pattern. This indicates that this piece was made prior to the patent being granted. So this dates to between June 7. 1911,and the date the patent was applied for August 27, 1912. It has a very thick patina and a good overall condition with a small area at back that has slight indentation. Measures at 6 1/4" tall.

Up for auction is this vintage Heintz Art Metal Art vase. This piece is one of the many items I will be selling from a large collection of Heintz Metal Art. Silver Crest and other bronze with silver overlay items. This collection was housed in a beach house for many years and the salt air has caused a green oxidation to the patina in some areas as well as pitting to the metal in some cases. All of the pieces are being sold as found. I will do my best to point out the damages in the description and photos. The vase measures 9 5/8” high and 4 ½” across the base. The piece is decorated with a sterling silver overlay in leaf and berry design. The vase a small dent on the edge of the base as well as oxidation as can be seen in the photos. This is in very good condition and signed on the bottom with the Heintz mark. And with numbers that look like either 3627B or 3027B, and also Patent number. This is tall measuring 11 1/2" high and there are only some teeny fleck marks on the back side that would need a proper polishing but I don't dare do and ruin the lovely patina. Heintz Arts & Crafts Dancing Ladies 12" Sterling on Bronze Vase No Reserve
For sale with No Reserve& please No buy it now offers( Continental United States Only) is this large Heintz Dancing Ladies Sterling on Bronze Vase The vase by itself measures 12" tall with the bell at the top being 5" across. The bottom is almost 3 1/4" across. Having used a flash on my camera the finish is slightly darker in color than the pictures show. It does retain a good deep bronze color and again is worthy of being a shelf piece. The finish is what I do believe to be all original without ever seeing a polishing cloth(that a purist knows is detrimental to period decor) The apologies are as follows: 1. the bottom is missing where the HAMS mark would have been( due to the subject matter of the silver application- said dancing ladies- I don't believe it to have been a later Silvercrest offering* 2. there is a hole ... morein one side apparently where someone had the bright idea to attempt to make this into a lamp? 3. just above the dancing ladies area one side has been dented 4. there is another smaller dent above one of the sterling horn blowers Even given these considerations it would still make a good cabinet vase to show the Heintz Arts& Crafts fabulous and yet intricate art deco sterling design. The winning bidder to pay for shipping and handling via Fed Ex Ground which also includes insurance. Stunning Heintz Metal Art Sterling Silver on Bronze cabinet vase. The vase measures 5" in height by 3 1/2" in diameter and has. What I believe to be, hanging columbine flowers with leaf silver design. The bronze vase has a wonderful, old and warm patina and is in good condition with 2 small dings or dents(see photo) The bottom is hallmarked with the Heintz Art Metal logo in diamond with 3640 A Sterling on Bronze Pat August 27, 12(for 1912) I believe this pattern and this size is not very common.
