This is an immaculate center piece for anyone looking for antiquity & class. A vide poche—French for empty pockets—is a valet tray or empty bowl used ... moreto collect change, keys, and daily miscellany. This unique object is created during the Art Deco era (ca. 1920s) in Vienna. The vide poche itself is made from white marble, which at the same time is a support for a hound dog in a jump, serving as a stylized handle for convenient carrying from place to place. The marble is slightly chipped (as pictured) & the red base shows some wear & tear. Take home this one of a kind unique centerpiece & adore its luxurious craftsmanship. You won’t find another one exactly like it. Attributed to sculptor Franz Hagenauer of Vienna, Austria (1906 – 1986).
